I started ozempic last night

Going to log my experience here as a journal and also to help others if interested.

having gone hungry to lose 5lbs earlier this year and then stalled because I’m always hungry, I put 4lbs back on. Being v pear shaped I never have a belly, but now it sticks out and digs in and clothes are uncomfortable. Doing more exercise makes no difference. It is clear that will power simply doesn’t work for me.

I took my first dose (0.25mg) last night. Woke up around 2.30 with pain at the injection site which passed. Was v thirsty so gulped water which just seemed to sit there. A couple of small burps. Got back to sleep. Weirdly vivid dreams. This morning, not particularly hungry first thing.

@OzzyOzworn yes I bought from Numan in the end. Just had lunch and could definitely eat all of it!

@HermioneWeasley woo! That's awesome.

I am learning what to, and what not to, eat. Large bowls of soup - no no no. Too voluminous in your stomach and sits there for ages :)

Smaller regular meals are fine, I'm finding.

Anyone bought from numan and actually getting symptoms good or bad?

I've had very mild negative side effects and am definitely getting appetite suppression and super vivid dreams.

Yes. I buy from Numan and really struggle with vomiting. Their medical advisers have been very good though.

I'm half way through a bowl of homemade veggie stew and feel so full I'm going to explode or be sick 🤢 I should have stopped eating earlier! 🤭

As I only took my first jab yesterday lunchtime I'm very impressed it's working so quickly. I can see there is a lot for me to learn about how my body is going to function from now on 😂

Thank you @HermioneWeasley - does anyone else have any top tips for meal times?

I’ve just taken a tiny dose this week - 9 clicks so half of 0.25mg. If I can get through to Tuesday without any vomiting I will take another half dose and see if splitting the doses in this way helps manage my symptoms better.

I bought from Numan too, total appetite loss for the first three days and then hideous sulphuric burps and constipation after the second dose.

No snacking still and my appetite is much smaller.

I've been looking forward to the vivid dreams and am a bit disappointed that I haven't had them. I used to get them when I was younger, like a full cinematic experience. Not great if it was scary but epic otherwise, and now that I'm older I don't seem to dream much at all, or I don't remember them if I do.

BlackAmericanoNoSugar I used to get dreams like that as well, I used to love it. These dreams aren't as amazing but they're more memorable than they've been the last few years and vivid. I'm hoping they get even better as I up doses (yes I may be weird!).

I bought mine from Numan too, and my appetite is definitely reduced. I ate some crackers and home made mackerel pate at lunchtime, one of my favourites, and struggled to finish. Then coffee out with a friend, which kept me full till small dinner at 7pm. No burps or weird dreams for me, although I’m often a dreamer of weird dreams…

I can tell mine is wearing off a bit, I'm much munchier this evening. Got to get through the weekend! May try changing my dosing day as I'm most likely to binge on a weekend.

yes this is what I find the effect is barely there by around day 5 ( only a vague nausea which is cured by eating something small)
I have been trying taking the jab after 6! days instead of 7.
Weight loss is very slow but is better than gaining

Aargh. My husband has just texted me to say that he has booked a table at a restaurant tonight to celebrate a promotion I got yesterday. I’ve looked at the very short menu which is all very rich food and I usually struggle with keeping my vomiting under control at the weekends as I take my ozempic on Fridays. Hopefully the fact that I took a half dose yesterday will mean I’m going to be ok.

I had like bubbles under my ribs this morning and had to dash to the loo, there were drips from bathroom door to the loo, but now the scales shows loss of 12.5lbs, I inject on Monday yet this has occurred on Sat & sun more than once.

I'm meant to be moving up to 0.75mg I think I'll stay at 0.5mg for another month

It's definitely not worn off fully - I've just made my son's birthday cake and licked the bowl. I'm now full and don't want the cake in the slightest!

I've not had a great day diet- wise 1 slice of wholemeal toast with butter and jam, 1 crumpet with butter, 2 stroopwaffles and the reminders of cake mix! Definitely need veggies for dinner!

Day 4 crazy vivid dreams and all I’ve managed is a chicken salad at 12pm and still not hungry. Little constipated but hardly surprising seen as barely eating, no other side effects so far. Wow!!!:)))
