Going to log my experience here as a journal and also to help others if interested.

having gone hungry to lose 5lbs earlier this year and then stalled because I’m always hungry, I put 4lbs back on. Being v pear shaped I never have a belly, but now it sticks out and digs in and clothes are uncomfortable. Doing more exercise makes no difference. It is clear that will power simply doesn’t work for me.

I took my first dose (0.25mg) last night. Woke up around 2.30 with pain at the injection site which passed. Was v thirsty so gulped water which just seemed to sit there. A couple of small burps. Got back to sleep. Weirdly vivid dreams. This morning, not particularly hungry first thing.

I'm on week 5 now, so my second dose of 0.5. Will the nausea ever end? I'm eating one meal a day as I feel so bloody sick all of the time.

Hi all. I’ve finally taken the plunge and ordered Ozempic from numan. I’ve got PCOS and need to lose 2 stone minimum really so not a huge amount but it’s the PCOS that’s making it impossible despite excellent low carb low sugar low cal diet- hence the Ozempic. Also I’m 41 and since 37 after 2nd child I cannot shift it. Thyroids fine….However I’m seriously scared about the side effects. Read up as much as I can and know to start on 0.25 for at least a month. Can anyone reassure me? Also anyone with ‘less’ to lose had success? Wondering if its only people with huge amounts to lose or whose diet was awful that get the top results. Anyone with PCOS on it specifically for insulin improvement? Hope to god if I get side effects they aren’t severe but only one way to find out I guess 🙈

Can anyone please pm me a discount code x

I have always felt fine, apart from some chronic constipation around a month ago. I was on a plateau, bit have slowly started losing again. I have also lowered my dose to 2 as it works for me just as well. The higher dose made me sick one night just as I was sitting down for dinner! Personally, at least in my case, I don’t think the dose needs increasing. In fact I had the lower dose still today and I have not felt any hungrier. This might just be me though. I had so much to lose initially in April last year and lost a couple of stone without the medication, but still weighed loads in august, which was when I started the medication. I have lost a couple more stone and the meds have definitely helped. I have two more stone to go and will continue with it albeit at the lower dose. I have a horrible tummy still which needs to go. I think my tummy alone accounts for at least one of the extra stones!

Has anyone suffered with shortness of breath on ozempic? I have asthma and for the first time in years I'm finding myself wheezy, but don't know if it's coincidence and I have a bug

KJ44 · 07/01/2023 22:49

I saw that deal earlier after the post, but it’s disappeared now. When I went to look again it was just the £40 off your first order

Itllbegrand · 08/01/2023 00:16

Can anyone send me a discount code and best place to order for a UK or Ireland order?

I didn't have a huge amount to lose when I started, around 3 stone. I was almost in the obese range and just it wasn't coming off. I also had a bing eating disorder which was causing a lot of stress. This method has addressed my behaviour so I no longer binge.
I've lost around 1/2 stone ( 3 weeks in ) and only side affect was nausea, slight increased heart rate (resolved now) and some insomnia which has resolved too.
I was worried about serious side effects but someone sent me a link to a good article which reassured me earlier on this thread. So if you search you can find it!

I started last week and felt terrible for the first couple of days. I don’t feel awful today but am wondering whether that will come back when I take the second dose later this week. Can anyone comment on whether their symptoms came back when they took the next dose? Thanks!

Save 40% (max £40.) After your first promotional month, your subscription will return to its normal price for following months. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with the purchase of a Fear Nothing Blood Test.

That's what Numan says straight from the site

I've ordered from numan and once my first order was shipped I got a discount off my second order, taking it down to £156 for month 2. I messaged them in the app and asked if was correct and they said yes, and if I order my second month on time I'll get a 3rd month at that discount as well. So 3 months at £156.

Yes, I had worse symptoms the second week every time I upped the dose. They did go away eventually though within the four weeks each time. Having said that I did go back down to 0.25mg for a bit (from 0.5mg) as I was so tired but then didn't get bad symptoms again until I worked my way back up to 1mg.

HermioneWeasley · 08/01/2023 15:12

@Itllbegrand and @Karmakamelion I’ve PMd you the My Juniper code if you want to use it

@5280mum yes, when I experienced side effects (and I’m lucky mine have been mild) they would ease off and come back with the injections. I’m on 6th week of 1mg (14 weeks in I think) and I wouldn’t say I get any side effects any more.

I started last week and my appetite has pretty much disappeared and it was almost immediate. I'm eating two meals a day, maybe half of the portion that I was previously having, no snacking. No other real side effects other than mild constipation.

My weight has just shot up since I started taking citalopram and my normal low carb solution just isn't working any more. I suspect that perimenopause lurks in the wings and honestly everything has just been weird since IVF.

I'd really like to look less like I'm about to be harpooned in a swim suit during my next holiday in June.

Goawayangryman · 08/01/2023 19:11

Yesterday I was a bit ... Uh, is anything happening?..today bloody hell, my appetite, it's gone AWOL. and I walked for an hour and a half today as well...

Yes, the swimsuit thing is a very painful prospect.

This is great to hear. I had absolutely no reduced appetite on 0.25. Today I've started 0.50 and nothing yet!

Oigetoffmylawn · 08/01/2023 20:01

Urgh. Just missed my delivery! I swear they didn't actually knock.

orangelotus · 08/01/2023 20:04

i'm
back to normal appetite wise going to take my 0.5 nhs tomorrow a day early as i have been at a friends house this weekend and have been stuffing all kinds of crap.

RumNotRun · 08/01/2023 20:09

Day two for me today. I don't know if it's psychosomatic or what, but I have been less hungry today and yesterday. I've eaten smaller portions as I've felt full, but I think part of that is I've been more conscious of listening to when my body says it's full, instead of just eating because it's there and on my plate.

To be honest, whether it's the Ozempic or just the psychological effect, I suppose it doesn't matter providing it works.

BellyDancer124 · 08/01/2023 20:48

I'd be so grateful for a discount code please! Smile

What happens when you stop taking the injections? Or is this a lifetime thing?

Kfjsjdbd · 09/01/2023 09:28

@OneAndDon3 same for me with Citalopram. I’m hoping this is an answer. Am also going to try and reduce the Citalopram to 10mg from 30mg.

Abeachsomewhere · 09/01/2023 09:37

Can I join? I have 5-6 stone to lose and started on the 0.25 dose yesterday morning. Feeling hopeful that this will be a new beginning for me after years of carrying around this extra weight and starting/stopping diets.

I have had some mild side effects so far including slight nausea at times, heart rate a bit higher than normal last night and insomnia, however alongside those I definitely feel less hungry and am already making better choices with food!

Oigetoffmylawn · 09/01/2023 09:59

Pen delivered an hour ago and first dose taken. Feeling very excited for this. I know it's not a magic cute, but if it helps me regulate my food intake and supports me getting in to better habits then I'll take it!

Most of what I've read is that it's a lifetime thing but I'm hoping not to do this, will see what happens, I do not want to regain weight when I get to my happy weight but I also do not want to continue losing at that stage either.
