Diet for Christmas challenge

I know it’s boiling hot and far too early but does anyone want to start a Christmas diet?

I’ve got a LOT to lose and in June I set myself a target of 4 stone by Christmas. So far I’ve lost 1 stone 3, so starting today my new target is going to be 40lbs by Christmas (although more would be very welcome 😀) My weigh day is Monday. I’ll update here every week, and hopefully some others will join me?

Everyone’s doing SO well! It’s been brilliant to read through all the posts and @LaTangerina youre a real inspiration!
@TheBatwoman did you do your run? If I wasn’t so late I’d have said to do it and use the time as your time to beat next time - If it wouldn’t make you unwell of course.

Please can I have weights lost by 5 ish please, and I’ll do the chart then. Thank you

Thank you so much @yearofthefat - I did the 5K this morning. Probably my slowest ever time, but I did it and just treated it like a training run. Really enjoyed it and the atmosphere was great. Nice to be just ‘Batwoman’ for a while too, not BatMummy! I’m really excited to get back into running but also finding it very hard carrying the extra weight as you say. It’s really motivated me to stay on track with the weight loss too, so had the desired effect thankfully. So, glad I went for it.

I’ve been watching The Biggest Loser on YouTube and one of the tasks was to run a lap of a track, then they had to put on a waistcoat thing that weighed the amount of weight they had lost and run the lap again. They really really struggled. There was a prize for the person who was nearest to their original time - a 32” tv so they were very excited (I think this might be a VERY old programme). They found it really hard.

you’re going to find this easier every time. I’m so proud of you 🎉

I've lost 1lb this week. Which I'll take as a win. If I lose 2 more then I'll be 10st13. It will feel very nice to duck under the 11st mark so that's my motivation this coming week.

Congrats everyone on their losses, big and small and on your perseverance!

Small bits of moving around today. I walked to church instead of driving and I've done some energetic games down at the park with the family. Knackered now though!

Congrats on all the losses! I have been pretty good this week, plenty of exercise and refused snacks at the cinema etc so very different to usual. I did get some Lindt pick and mix today as we were at an outlet but that is a rare treat. Hoping for a loss when I weigh on Tuesday.

Sounds really interesting. I may try the weighted vest challenge actually once down to target weight, if I can get hold of one the right weight. I reckon that would be quite a cool challenge and a really step forward in the fitness journey (equally as important to me, as one of the main motivations for me is being able to run around with my twins as they get older!)

Would it be easier if I weighed in on a Sunday as seems a lot of people are! Doesn’t make any difference to me :)

Thanks for the list @OhFatty - thinking of changing the weigh in day to Sunday too to make life easier. Will have to do tomorrow as I’ve kinda missed the boat today but then can switch it to Sunday going forward.

I really grateful to you all for joining me. When I first posted I thought it was too early. Who’s thinking about Christmas in the height of summer?

I know it sounds stupid but I was really disheartened by only losing 1lb last week. I’ve been trying so hard. If it’s the same tomorrow I need to rethink my diet. I’m allowing myself 1500 calories a day. Maybe that’s too many? I used a TDEE calculator.

I’m so nervous about tomorrow. Have a good week everyone

How is it fatty this morning?

I decided to weigh today as I feel I remember better on a Monday than on a Tuesday. I have lost 0.7kg (1.5lb) in 6 days so happy with that. I have the scales that do all sorts too so I can see that my body fat percentage has reduced and my muscle mass increased :)

Today I am again walking DD to a park to meet some friends. I know walking isn't the most efficient calorie burning exercise but it's the thing that's easiest to fit in whilst DD is on summer holidays. Walking and kitchen dance parties are my exercise of choice right now!
