WOW 😯 Where did February go … A Warm Welcome to New and existing Members alike! Fresh new month, fresh new start, fresh new habits. Jump right in to reset & refresh to become a healthier version of yourself.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (Weigh On Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day.

@Crazzzycat MFP says 60% of my intake should be protein, can't remember if I set that myself.

Basically I eat quite well, my PT said to up my calories to 1400 from 1200 just by adding in a chicken breast a day based of what I was eating which was pretty much

B - yoghurt berries and seeds
L - chicken salad
D - around 600 calories of something healthy

Try to avoid snacks and fizzy drinks.

So I have 1400 calories a day but I also exercise most days, I don't register those calories burned on MFP.

I'm going to give this 'new way' a couple of weeks then see where I'm at!

Extra protein & up to 1400 sounds sensible You. I'm back on track to very similar to you as well. Lost well and consistently on it last year. I've decided I definitely want to get to 10 stone something. Will aim for 10 1/2, but even 10 stone 10 will be good. A few hard core weeks can't do any harm at all.

Another bright sunshiny day here. Yet to eat lunch. Holding out for proper hunger. Earlier I eat in the day, more I seem to consume! Funny that?!

I don't know my target, the lightest I can ever remember being is 13 and half stone then I got an office job and went up from there.
The scales read 13 stone, 13.5lbs this morning. I'd like to get down to 13 as my next smaller goal but I'm worried my body will just say no as it and my brain has no recollection of being any less that 13.7 🤷‍♀️

It's 15.26 & I still haven't had any chocolate. I'm ashamed to say that's something of a record for me recently 😬

I don't want to feel as sugar-fuelled as I have recently so I'm resisting valiantly 😀

Soooo, so far today apart from breakfast lunch was:-

2 slices Ryvita with pro active
3 slices Cathedral City lighter
mixed small salad with radishes, lettuce, tomatoes and beetroot
Slim a soup minestrone

had 2 Twinings defence teas and 1 larger orange low sugar jelly

Planning on walking to post office and back - 20 mins to 30 mins and a workout class later.

Love love love the cats *@HouseofHolbein* - just what I needed today!

Yesterday I felt like I ate loads, but according to MFP it wasn't too bad.

Today's meals:
L - 1/2 tin soup (leftover from yesterday) plus an apple
D - baked potato, Quorn nuggets, beans and cheese

Doesn't feel the healthiest day ever, but think it's just about balanced and low cal.

I definitely need to up my protein. I need eggy meals that done involve bread or too much cheese. Trying to eat less meat, and not eating fish at all, is quite restrictive on this front.

@ImALittlePea - I know you say eggy meals which don't involve bread but I know that when I have 2 egg (whole eggs) scrambled eggs with butter on toast it really fills me up and I don't snack until lunch and can even manage a much smaller lunch.

@youdoyoutoday, I’m no expert on this at all, but getting 60% of your energy from protein sounds like a lot to me. I’m veggie though, so what do I know?! 😂

@Crazzzycat it probably is but with all the exercising, I'm hoping this will help give me that push down the scales I've been longing for.

But with eggs, Greek yoghurt and chicken/fish each day, it should increase my protein intake 🤷‍♀️

ha ha ha @SunshineCake1, i'm still dealing with snow.
my neighbor took his snowblower and used it on his lawn and spreading the white stuff onto the sunny spots to melt faster.
we've done the same in the past, but so far it's just me scraping it from the shade to the sun using a 14 tine level rake!

Weigh in day for me. 1lb off which I'm taking as a win after my terrible end of week and weekend. Keeps me on track for my 20lbs in 20 weeks

Can't beat scrambled egg on toast @Gonnagetgoing it's just I'm trying not to eat bread at all during the week. It doesn't seem to satiate me well enough and I end up then always wanting crisps etc alongside it. I've found it better just to cut it out completely 😭

I love bread but I have no off switch with it!! 1 slice is never enough and before I know it ive eaten half a loaf Hmm

I also find I feel bloated with it although defo not a gluten allergy - not severe enough for that

Just weighed myself and am 74.6kg so lost 1.4kg this week. Been eating a little bit better but have upped my exercise this week. Walked the school run (about a 2 mile round trip) most days and am walking further when my 3yo is in nursery (longer round trip) I have also been gardening a few times this week with 3yo and that is keeping me away from the snack cupboard. Amazing how much I have been snacking/eating out of boredom and habit.
Going to up the exercise from today. Hope all your weigh ins are going the way you want.

Monday went okay; I just had a cereal bar for breakfast then lunch out which was a steak sandwich and chips (oh they were good) and I had the ‘small pud and coffee’ option.

I didn’t end up eating anything else that day so don’t think calories were too bad.
Then ended up having a horrible row with DP all of yesterday so I did nothing and probably went about 400 calories over.

Nevermind. Row sorted and it’s a new day and my horse has her last scan today.

No idea what my BF is up to 😀

I survived the day without chocolate & felt so much better for it. Trying again today. Wish I hadn't seen that 1 on the scale disappear but am feeling like I'm a good size & shape & that's what matters 👍🏻

Same @Lzzyisgod I can tell the difference at weekends when I eat bread/crisps. Definitely feel more sluggish.

Tough day for you yesterday @Foreverlexicon but the sounds of things. Hope you can move on and have a better day today. ( I find it hard to, end up overthinking). What is horse scan for? I seem to recall someone due to be a horse - granny - is that you?

WOW - scales drastically up for me to 11 5.5. So 3.5 lbs up in a week of indulgence. Yes, it was all worth it. Yes, I have my work cut out now to get to all off again and the rest. Yes, I am in a bad mood (very demanding and draining clients). But yes, I can take back control, and work to find a positive headspace.

I weighed after bootcamp this morning so had ready been up and about since 5.45am. Same as yesterday but I can feel my stomach is flatter so I reckon something good is happening! Fingers crossed!!

So todays weight is 13 stones 13.5lbs, that's OK, I'm below 14 again which I haven't been for a while so I'm using that to spur me on!!

I have taken to weighing myself every day like I used to with Noom, i find it keeps me more on track.

Shame about my sleep though, I don't think I've slept properly for days now and I'm really feeling it after bootcamp today but I promised to go as I have for Friday again!!

I have to go out too as dad had a fall the other day, he's OK, hurt his shoulder so doesn't want to drive at the minute and he needs a few bits.

The house is messy too but I'm going to ignore that til tomorrow when DD is at nursery so I can blitz the place in peace, bless her but DD isn't as helpful as she likes to think 🤣

10st 12 for me today. GW is 10st 7.

I've been around the same weight for two weeks, but that's due a bit of socialising and being off the boil on the calorie counting, but I'm already back on it so I have my fingers crossed for next week. I'm mostly just pleased I didn't put any weight on in the last two weeks!
