My stomach isn't the best anyway, most days things are no worse than usual. I did have a bad 2 days after eating a (tiny and well within calories for the day) piece of cheesecake.

On week three now and I am not anything like as pre-occupied with food now and while I do still feel some hunger, it's quickly sated and I find I'm not eating much of an evening at all.

Tellytummytubby · 22/05/2022 22:10

How’s everyone getting on?
I did my 6th injection today, have had to dose up on anti diarrhoea medication. I’m not quite at 0.6 yet as I’ve been going up slowly in the hope the tummy troubles stop. Think I need a bit more for it to curb the appetite

jay55 · 25/05/2022 09:14

I'm on my third day of 1.2. I ate more than I should last weekend so decided I needed to move up.
I'm just over 5kg down on saxenda, stalled for most the week of my period.
Feeling okay ish. Getting some nausea. Generally hungry mid morning and not much in the evenings. I'm often having snacks rather than proper meals. Need to sort out better shopping and eating plans.

lardass88 · 26/05/2022 18:21

When is best to inject? Morning or evening?

Tellytummytubby · 26/05/2022 19:22

I’m 9 days in of injecting in the evening at 8pm. At first the nausea was so bad all the following day I lost a fair bit. But these past few days I’ve felt more hungry than ever and binged quite a bit and put much of it back on. I’m thinking to change to the morning instead but I’m worried about the fatigue which is only just manageable taking it then going to bed.

jay55 · 29/05/2022 13:57

I'm really not sure if I can hack it. Had a night of vomiting and pain after eating chicken and rice, and I only ate two mouthfuls of the rice.

I love the weightloss and lack of appetite but the side effects are a lot and I'm getting scared to eat much at all.

It's so frustrating.

AnnaMagnani · 29/05/2022 14:16

I'm on Ozempic but for me it has meant a massive rethink of what food I eat and what size is a portion

So for chicken and rice - plain rice would be fine but I'd prob only have a cooked spoonful. Chicken - would depend on what the sauce was but anything creamy or cheesy and I'd be expecting to have issues. Also my total portion would again be small, any sign of feeling full I'll just stop eating - this was incredibly hard to start with but after feeling rubbish a few times it helps you practice to leave food on your plate.

I've been quite happy with this as it's led to a total turnaround in what we all eat, not just me, and so one of the big changes has been a much healthier diet all round.

jay55 · 29/05/2022 16:10

It was a bbq chicken breast(oven cooked) and I ate about half, so did stop when full. I'd only had an apple and a couple of crackers the rest of the day. It wasn't the end of a binge or anything.

I'll take a few days off of jabs and then give another go.

Tellytummytubby · 29/05/2022 16:39

Well I’ve switched to morning injection in the hope it reduces my appetite through the day. Day 1 of taking in the morning- hasn’t worked yet… still holding out hope. Nearly 2 weeks in only 2lb down of 3-4 stone. Given the side effects can be brutal it’s not easy sticking with it

GreyGreyGrey · 02/06/2022 13:13

may I ask, is anyone using Rybelsus tablets? (Same chemical as Ozempic.) I wonder if despite having to take them daily, they would be more convenient since they don’t need refrigeration.

TallTrees78 · 05/06/2022 06:46

Constipation advice please!

I've just posted on another thread, but then noticed this is the main Saxenda one.

Been on it a week and only passed solids twice, the last of which was several days ago. I'm horribly bloated and uncomfortable. I bought Senokot yesterday and took 1 last night but nothing happening yet.

Suggestions - take another Senokot pill this morning despite not meant to take more than 1 in 24hrs? Or just buy some prune juice today?

I've got cinema booked for tonight and a big work meeting tomorrow. Want something that will hopefully sort me out today, but without potentially having emergency run to toilet scenarios tonight or tomorrow when I'm with a lot of other people!

TallTrees78 · 05/06/2022 13:48

The Senokot finally kicked in at lunchtime. My god, the relief!

Cornishbelle · 05/06/2022 21:56

Hoping to collect my prescription tomorrow, any newbie hints anyone would be willing to share? I want to lose approx 4 stone hoping this will be the kick start to reduce portion sizes

Chattycatty · 05/06/2022 22:58

My perscription arrives on tuesday it was this thread that gave me the courage to try it. I've got so much weight to lose and I'm really too skint really to do it this way really (credit card) but nothing is working. I'm hoping to do this til maybe Christmas and hopefully it works for me.

jay55 · 06/06/2022 15:07

After a week off I'm back on it this morning.

@TallTrees78 never had constipation issues on it, always the other way Envy hope you're all sorted now and it isn't reoccurring.

Best of luck to those just starting.

Chattycatty · 07/06/2022 17:55

How are you finding it after a week off @jay55

@Cornishbelle how is your first week going.
I've just done my first jab really hoping this works for me.

TallTrees78 · 10/06/2022 15:31

I'm on my 2nd week in and went to1.2 (Saxsenda). Was very sick earlier today so will try the tip of injecting into thigh rather than stomach.

Overall I feel pretty lethargic and tired on it, but will keep going as has suppressed my appetite. Though not as much as it seems for others - I'd be incredibly hungry if I only had 1-2 mouthfuls of cooked rice with chicken.

I've a lot to lose though so hopefully slow but steady will get me there.

Cornishbelle · 10/06/2022 16:48

Day 5 here and definitely feel less hungry I'm considering trying 0.6 ongoing as away in just over 3 weeks and don't want to take it whilst I'm away. I'm injecting around 830 and find mild nausea seems to have faded by morning, also get a few headaches if i don't drink enough

jay55 · 11/06/2022 11:48

@Cornishbelle I deffo have to remind myself to drink some days. Especially if out and about. Or I'll get a mid afternoon headache and realise why.

I'm a week back on and it's kicked in again, I'm doing 3 clicks past .6 and it feels about right for now.
I am taking an anti acid reflux tablet in the evening which is making a big difference. Less burps and I'm not waking up feeling like it's coming up my throat.

The tiredness isn't as bad as before though I'm not doing much in the evenings. And twice fell asleep watching love island but that's probably as much about the show as the meds.

I'm eating more at lunch than I'm the evening. And really need to sort my grocery shopping out to match that.

TallTrees78 · 11/06/2022 20:39

After reading it on here - I injected into my thigh instead of stomach last night (and forced myself to eat breakfast this morning).

Still had a headache and diaorreah this morning, but no nausea or vomiting today.

katmunchkin · 14/06/2022 17:37

I'm looking to try this as a bit of a boost - can anyone tell me where they've ordered this from? I know Boots do it but for ease I'd rather get one which delivered to the door? X

Cornishbelle · 14/06/2022 17:40

I've gone up to 1.2 as of last night as suggested in the dosing leaflet, don't feel as if it making as much difference to my appetite now but going to persevere

Hope everyone else is having a good week

TallTrees78 · 14/06/2022 19:59

Has anyone moved from Saxsenda to Ozempic?

I'm starting week 3 of Saxsenda and injecting every day is starting to wear thin.

If I inject into my stomach I feel sick so use tops of arms and thighs, but it does hurt more injecting there than stomach.

jay55 · 16/06/2022 14:14

I've not tried anything else @TallTrees78 spent enough money on this. Sorry you're having a rough time with the jabs.

It took until Monday for my appetite to get back to as low as it was before I took the break.
Though I think the heat is also a factor right now. Too hot to contemplate cooking.

By yesterday I was feeling less tired and I've not had anything like the nausea. Am taking about 1.0 at the moment.

Hillrunning · 24/06/2022 20:34

Apologies if it has already been mentioned but does anyone know if ill have any trouble taking the needles and injection pens through an airport and flight? I've never had to take any prescription meds travelling before and the need to keep it cold plus the needles made me wonder.
