Accountability - three stone needs to go

Mellowyellow222 · 01/01/2022 19:49

Stood on the scales today - I have gained three stone since 2019. None of my clothes fit and I feel really unfit - can’t even touch my toes!

So today is day one. I have walked 17,000 steps and eaten 1500 calories. No booze and no chocolate.

History of ED so need to be sensible.

Goal is to eat less and walk every day. Treadmill ordered.

Ooh that's a nice win @TaggieWeightLoss

Stargazer89 · 24/01/2022 20:49

@TaggieWeightLoss ahh that’s amazing.

@Mellowyellow222 sorry about yesterday with your family. Mine are similar, my dad is always asking me if i am on a diet then will say “good” if i say that i am!! You sound like you have a brilliant mindset atm with being able to stay focused xx

Mellowyellow222 · 25/01/2022 20:14

Hope everyone is having a good week.

I am being very lazy but keeping to the calorie limit so that’s at least one thing.

Just had a mini bag of chocolate buttons bringing today’s calorie to 1208.

@TaggieWeightLoss I'm sure that's a lovely boost.
@Mellowyellow222 sorry that your family behaved in the way you expected them to on Sunday but sounds like you handled it really positively.
Despite not being as strict S the week before I lost over 2lbs last week. Happy with that. Dieting is such a head fuck.
This week going well so far. Already can't wait for Sat when having a meal out and bday cake

TaggieWeightLoss · 26/01/2022 21:36

Thanks everyone!

Having a reasonable few days, but without much actual weight loss! Possibly heading for an early period… annoyances of peri-menopause I suppose

That’s a great loss @Jeds55 ! Well done!

liliainterfrutices · 26/01/2022 22:58

V annoyed that I was 2.5lbs lighter this morning than at weigh-in in Slimming World 5his evening. And I purposely only ate grapes in the hope of staying lighter . . .

Mellowyellow222 · 27/01/2022 08:51

Everyone says this is the hardest week for any diet/lifestyle change!

But we are nearly there. I am feeling pretty pleased with myself that I will end January on a good note. Yes I had a few days where I ate more - but that’s okay - and expected if I want to keep this up long term.

Keep going everyone 😊

How's everyone getting on? Hard day today but managed to eat a bit of popcorn and some crisps without going crazy. Second post partum period already, baby only q0 weeks old! Feeling period snd shit. Planned treat day tomorrow as have meal out for a bday. Will hopefully not do too much damage and get back on it on Sunday.
@liliainterfrutices it's crazy how much I gain during the day too. When I did sw for a short period I was always tempted to strip down to weigh in. 2.5lb loss is excellent work

Jeds55 · 28/01/2022 23:20

Out of intetest do people weigh same time of day/in same clothes? I weigh as early in the morning as possible- definitely after first wee and sometimes after a poo (sorry tmi). Clothes wise I wear leggings and whatever top I've slept in. I suppose to get it most accurate it should be done starkers.
Good luck to those weighing in tmrw x

Jeds55 · 28/01/2022 23:24

@Mellowyellow222 same here about ending Jan knowing I've made good progress Smile

Silversprinkles · 29/01/2022 00:50

Yes @Jeds55 I always weigh first thing, after a pee but before I drink or eat anything. Learned that on BIWI bootcamp. I just wear my pajamas but that's cos we have a coldish house, no way I'm going starkers Grin

I always put the scales on the same spot of the bathroom floor too. I also learned that Lino type floors are more likely to be accurate than carpeted ones for scales!

Jeds55 · 29/01/2022 03:13

@Silversprinkles yes I have a 'spot' on the floor I always use for the scales too. I use the tiled bathroom floor but out of interest will try the lino of kitchen - if it gives a lower reading that may become my new spot Grin

Week4

start weight: 12st 10
Current weight: 12st 1
Goal weight: 9st 10

Total loss: 9lbs
Left to lose: 2st 5

OP posts:
TaggieWeightLoss · 29/01/2022 05:38

Weigh in:

Start weight on 7/12/2021: 14 stone 12
Current weight: 13 stone 4
Goal weight: 11 stone 5

1 stone 7 lbs lost (2 lbs this week); 1 stone 13 lbs to go

Weight loss has been bumpy this week, but did get a decent number in the end. As a bit of a milestone, lockdown weight is gone and I’m now starting on the baby weight. The baby in question is starting work on his UCAS form, so it’s about time!

Well done @Mellowyellow222 and good luck to everyone else!

Stargazer89 · 29/01/2022 09:08

Well done @Mellowyellow222 and @TaggieWeightLoss

i lost a pound this week which is slow but i did have an indian and wine last night.

Start weight: 14 stone 5
Current weight: 13 stone 12
Goal weight: 11 stone 10

7lbs down and 2 stone 2lbs left.

Have a lovely weekend all x

dancemom · 29/01/2022 10:47

Morning all

Starting Weight 12 stone 6 lbs

Last Saturday 11 stone 9.25lbs

Had lost 0.75lbs last week

Todays weight 11 stone 8.5lbs

This week loss 0.75lbs

Total loss 11.5lbs

Goal Weight 9 stone 9 lbs

1 stone 13.5 lbs to go

Slow loss but a loss is a loss. Frustrated but this is middle age for you I suppose.

Silversprinkles · 29/01/2022 20:38

Saturday weigh in!

SW 13 stone 10
(Roughly early Jan, joined thread and started on 19th)

CW 13 stone

GW 11 stone 10
(First goal for normal BMI)

Much excitement when the scales flickered briefly to the 12 stone category, which I have not seen for a long time. But they settled on 13 stone dead. Here's to next week!

I'm aware doing a lowish (sometimes very -ish) carb regime often means you lose a lot in the first couple of weeks and then stick for a bit before your next drop. So I'm going to stay positive and looking forward to a future drop into that next stone category.

Well done everyone!

TaggieWeightLoss · 29/01/2022 20:42

Well done everyone! Here’s to 12 stone something @Silversprinkles ! For both of us in the next few weeks!

Silversprinkles · 29/01/2022 23:16

@TaggieWeightLoss I really hope so!

Jeds55 · 30/01/2022 22:32

Well done everyone, losses all round. I'm going to weigh in tomorrow. Had 2 fair chunks of birthday cake yesterday plus meal out but got back on diet today.
Set myself the first target of losing a stone by partner's bday weekend next weekend so fingers crossed I get there early

liliainterfrutices · 30/01/2022 22:50

Starting weight 16 (I do notknow how this happened). 01/01/2022
Current weight 14.11
Target weight 11.7 which is well into healthy range.
So depressing though. I remember being horrified when I weighed 14 stone. Didn’t expect to put another two stone on.

Mellowyellow222 · 31/01/2022 08:00

Last day of January and I weight 12st 0.

That’s 10lbs lost since 1 January.

It was that hard - I mostly stuck to around 1300 calories a day - and to be honest didn’t do much exercise!

So I can do this in February plus get some more steps in!

Thank you to those who replied to me on my first post on here a while back - annoyingly I don't get notifications so I kind of forgot about this, but will make sure I check in daily as the accountability could really help.

I weighed this morning and have another small loss, which I'm pleased with as I had two meals out this week and had a couple of drinks over the weekend, so that's good. Bringing my updated stats to:

Start weight: 12 stone 7 lbs
Current weight: 12 stone 0 lbs
Goal weight: 9 stone 7 lbs

Biggest challenge this week is starting back at the office a couple of days, so need to food prep properly.

It's now just under 5 months until the wedding, I'm thinking a further 2.5 stone loss may be unattainable in that time. But I'm going to take measurements too as know I'm building muscle.

Have a great week all 🖤

Mellowyellow222 · 31/01/2022 19:02

Welcome back @BugBeingBold

First month down which is a huge achievement and well done on the weight loss.

I reckon you will make the weight goal - or get very close😊.

I am at 10lbs now and already feel better. I wore a pair of jeans at the weekend that were too painful to wear over Christmas! Having dropped a dress size yet - but am noticing clothes are fitting better.
