Thought I would start the new thread a day early, cannot believe this thread has been going for two years. I joined on 2nd Jan 2020. I'm going to put today's weight in 9st1.25, so a gain of three pounds in December. Aiming to get back to where I was by the end of January and in the longer term a few more pounds.

Well done for facing the music you guys, i'm still burying my head in the sand Grin

WATER reminder.

I'm feeling really munchy today! Annoying.

CharlieBubbles88 · 11/01/2022 15:19

New to the thread! First of all apologies to those I've randomly sent friends requests to on FitBit, but I need some motivation!

Gained 10lbs between the 18/12 and now so firmly back on the wagon.

Aims are 30 minutes yoga, 15,000 steps and a no weight arm workout. Going low cal to shift the first 5lbs and two litres of water a day

I think I'm under Chloe P on FitBit if anyone wants to add me

NutellaEllaElla · 11/01/2022 15:23

Welcome! That gain must have been an unwelcome surprise. Still, easy on, easy off they say so i'm sure it'll go in no time!

Hangoverstruggles · 11/01/2022 22:00

Hi everyone. Belated happy birthday Octopus! And we'll done everyone for keeping on the straight & narrow.

I was 2lb down on Monday after my first week. I'm actually amazed as I have been pretty crap. Got with meals, but been reckless with chocolate! My period came on this week too which hasn't helped.

Aiming for 3 good days now until a meal out on Saturday!

I think this time around I'm going to have to accept I'll have low cal days and maintenance cal days and hope overall I come out losing a bit. I really need to exercise but I just struggle to fit it in with long working hours and family life. Lighter evenings will be a blessing!

LBB2020 · 11/01/2022 23:09

Not had the best couple of days but definitely not the worst! Work is stressful and the weather is miserable etc etc so I’ve finished off the last of the Christmas biscuits to make myself feel better Blush will do better tomorrow!

Octopus37 · 12/01/2022 07:24

Its so hard isn't it at this time of year. Dark and miserable etc. I was 9st1.75 this morning so creeping up, feeling quite bloated though and think its the lack of steps. Nevermind.

LBB2020 · 12/01/2022 07:43

I’ve found the dark evenings and mornings especially hard this winter. I’m struggling to get my steps in during the week now I’m back to WFH.
Going to do an exercise video with DH tonight (we’re aiming for 2 a week as a start to get us into a routine which we did manage to do last week)

CharlieBubbles88 · 12/01/2022 09:32

In a way it was NutellaEllaElla but I was also expecting it. Barely exercised at all over those weeks and also consumed everything and anything in sight, followed by my birthday at the beginning of the month

Hoping for a good week this week, any loss will be welcome. Have done three yoga videos this week, and 20,000 steps each day for the last two days. Will try and do the same again today. But like others have said it’s so much harder with it being dark and miserable out

LBB2020 · 12/01/2022 09:49

@CharlieBubbles88 it’s sounds like you are doing great!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 12/01/2022 12:14

10/8 today. I feel like my “digestive system has been sluggish” first thing since returning to work which is possibly playing a part here. I am just a bit out of whack.

swallowedAfly · 12/01/2022 12:25

Hangover low cal days and maintenance days is fine imo. Way more sustainable and I think that plus a day or two of over Cala day is probably what maintenance in normal life looks like.

I’m 11:13.6 today.

NutellaEllaElla · 12/01/2022 14:29

I'm bored and mildly frustrated so I want to eat because i'm bored and mildly frustrated.

NutellaEllaElla · 12/01/2022 14:30

Gah, none of the ideas I c+p above are very good. Lame but I guess i'll try a sugar free Werthers original 🤨

Hope you remembered to try drinking lots of water Nutella. In case it's of any use to anyone when I initially fasted I used to sometimes put a small teaspoon of marmite in a mug of boiling water and drink it and just the sipping of something warm and salty was very satisfying.

I know these things don't always work but sometimes they do and surprise me.

Tmi but my period has been going on for 8 days now - usually only a couple of days properly then a day or two of spotting. Maybe just the latest peri surprise.

I have had a relatively low cal and activish day. Will see what the scales have to say tomorrow. Glad to be back under 12 today and hoping to stay that way.

swallowedAfly · 13/01/2022 07:10

11:12.6. May make my next target this month.

lagrangethetortoise · 13/01/2022 07:24

67.0 kg this morning, mini milestone one reached.

Octopus37 · 13/01/2022 07:46

@swallowedAfly that's fantastic, peri is full of surprises isn't it, I feel your pain. Sounds as if everyone's doing great. 9st1.25 this morning, half a pound down. I'm struggling a bit at the moment, general stress, my Dad is going to come down again next week, all feelings like a bit much but I've just got to crack on.

LBB2020 · 13/01/2022 07:56

Surprisingly I’m 10st10lb this morning!
@lagrangethetortoise well done!
Sorry your stressed @Octopus37 Sad
I’m done with work for the week so am going to try to get out for a good walk with the children today

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 13/01/2022 17:13

9st3 for me.. I'm afraid I'm not trying but my three meals are good ones and my water is good, as are my activity levels. Will continue to weigh however and do best to minimise at least..

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 13/01/2022 19:46

10/7 today and steps done, but also struggling a bit post Christmas. I can’t wait until January and February are over.

Octopus37 · 14/01/2022 07:25

Not great today 9st2.5. Steps were good yesterday, but food wasn't.

NutellaEllaElla · 14/01/2022 07:35

I got on the scales finally, I've got 2 restaurant meals again this weekend and thought it might help keep me keep done kind of restraint. It wasn't awful, better than I feared in fact. 4lbs to the top of my maintenance window.

swallowedAfly · 14/01/2022 08:07

11:12.2 today. Creeping down.

I do need to have a more nutritious day soon though. Have steak in the fridge that needs using and lean steak mince so will have one or the other with lots of green veg tonight.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 14/01/2022 10:54

10/7 this morning which is a miracle after a takeaway last night. Honestly, if I can get to the end of January around this weight then I will be happy. I find this month really difficult because of the way the calendar at work is structured, and it's harder to get out and do steps - plus so cold and dark.

My goal is 10/3 so if I can get there by spring it would be great. I feel a bit of a fraud posting on this thread sometimes because everyone is doing so well and I am just hanging about the same level, but it does really help keep me on track if not moving down the track!
