How are you feeling now @poorpaws? Better still, I hope Flowers

I agree @Bjarnum, I'm depressed to think I probably have an extra few months to go to reach my goal weight after completely dropping the ball for a while!! This week has been dull but steady - followed my WW points, done my exercise - ho hum, just focussing on Monday's weigh in really...

DP is full of man flu and (despite not lifting a finger round the house, as you all know by now!) is moaning that he is "tired out" and everyone should stop expecting him to do arduous things like put his own plate in the dishwasher. Or at least he was moaning, till the happy point yesterday when he lost his voice Grin

Hope you are doing well too @suzyscat @MrsWidgerysLodger @gonelululemoncrazy

MrsWidgerysLodger · 04/02/2022 07:34

Morning guys. Hope you're all doing okay.
I'm still on track pretty much but this weekend doesn't count as I have a rare break from smallhuman so the wine and chocolate and cheese are all being consumed!

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 04/02/2022 23:16

A child free weekend @MrsWidgerysLodger!! Make the most of all that free time to enjoy the wine, chocolate and cheese!

I was plodding along steadily before AF hit and then I fell into a pile of chocolate today whilst feeling like death. Aaarrrgghhhh.

MrsWidgerysLodger · 05/02/2022 09:34

AF here too so even more excuse to enjoy all the food!!!!

From this Monday’s weigh-in it is exactly 10 weeks to Easter Monday. Does anyone want to join me in trying to lose 10 lbs by then? (1 stone would be better still but I have to be realistic).

Calling @Bjarnum
@ClaraTheImpossibleGirl
@MrsWidgerysLodger
@gonelululemoncrazy
And anyone I’ve missed (sorry, I can’t think).

I’m still not brilliantly well but I’m sick of the scales going upwards every week and a superhuman week would be a bit too difficult atm so this is my alternative. I’m posting today to give you time to plan if you want to join, I’m hoping you all will.

MrsWidgerysLodger · 05/02/2022 19:19

Hi Paws. I'm sorry you feel awful still. You must be so sick of it now. I'd be up for joining you on that challenge.

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 06/02/2022 10:24

I hear your call to action @poorpaws and I will join Grin hope you're continuing to recover.

Still jealous of your child free weekend @MrsWidgerysLodger. A lie in is a distant and hopeful dream still for me Sad

In Sunday morning excitement, I'm looking at new socks on the Sainsburys website as they have 20% off nightwear, underwear and slippers till tomorrow night. I know, I really don't know how my life could get more interesting!

Bjarnum · 06/02/2022 13:47

I'm in!

gonelululemoncrazy · 06/02/2022 16:15

Me too - I need a bit of a kick up the bum to get back on track!

poorpaws · 06/02/2022 17:36

Yay ! Thank you @Bjarnum @ClaraTheImpossibleGirl and @MrsWidgerysLodger

So tomorrow we will note our weight and use Easter Monday as a mini goal trying for at least 10 lbs, that’s the plan. It all seems so doable but I’ve been here before and it’s still not easy.

Just hoping to hear from anyone I left out who would like to join us.

poorpaws · 06/02/2022 17:36

Ha @gonelululemoncrazy so glad you are on board too.

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 06/02/2022 23:25

Gosh @poorpaws, I've spent this evening doing a long overdue fridge clearout in preparation for our Easter countdown, forgot how flipping exhausted AF time makes me!! Hope you've had a good day!

poorpaws · 07/02/2022 07:53

Ok, here we go for our Easter countdown.

SW: 12sts. 2.75
CW: 11sts. 6.5
GW: 10sts. goodness only knows when

Mini Easter goal = 10lbs in 10 weeks. 10sts 10.5
(Or if we could all possibly lose a stone in the 10 weeks =10sts 6.5, which would be absolutely amazing for me).

Best of luck and healthy eating to all of you. Let’s see if the whole team can do this 😀 yayyyy here we go ...

@ClaraTheImpossibleGirl hope you’ve got some energy to start today, keep positive 😁

OP posts:
poorpaws · 07/02/2022 07:57

Can we please all check in tomorrow to see how the first day went, just to keep me motivated.

gonelululemoncrazy · 07/02/2022 08:45

Morning everyone. Hope you are all well.

SW 13.5
CW 12.10
TW 11.0

Poor little DS2 tested positive for covid yesterday, thankfully the rest of us were all negative (all vaccinated). He started to complain about a headache, looked a bit peaky and then was sick. DS1 is desperate to catch it to get out of school, but I explained to him the whole point of the vaccination is to prevent you from catching it. Hopefully this wont de-rail week one for me.

Bjarnum · 07/02/2022 19:09

SW13st 2lbs
CW 13st 2lbs
TW 10st.00
mini goal 12st 7lbs

MrsWidgerysLodger · 07/02/2022 22:49

SW 12st 8lb
CW 12st 6lb
TW 11st

MrsWidgerysLodger · 07/02/2022 22:51

I think my actual SW was nearer 13st but I didn't dare get on the scales till 2 weeks ago.

Bjarnum · 08/02/2022 06:49

Well Monday was a total disaster diet wise. I just can't seem to get a grip .Hope the rest of you did better ...

poorpaws · 08/02/2022 08:03

Good morning everyone

@gonelululemoncrazy Im so sorry to hear about your DS and hope he makes a speedy recovery (kids do seem to bounce back quickly even from the evil Covid). If it does derail you for a week don’t worry, it’s early days, you can most certainly make it up.

@Bjarnum
Again it’s early days, lots more days to catch up. I know what you mean about getting a grip, since Christmas and my dreadful virus the scales have just gone up and up every week. I’m hoping 🤞🏻 I’m getting a grip now but you never know 🥴

@MrsWidgerysLodger
At least you’ve braved the scales now so it’s all up hill from here. In 10 weeks we’ll all be delighted 😁 (Just in time to eat Easter eggs).

I did well yesterday and after weeks of doing very little I really went for it:
Two dog walks = 18,500 steps (I know 😱)
Cleaned my large lounge window (my least favourite job in the entire list of jobs I should do)
Another few ransom small household jobs that have needed doing for some time.
Food was pretty good and when I wanted to eat later on I went to bed so I couldn’t

If only I could keep day 1 up for10 weeks but it’s definitely not going to happen.

@ClaraTheImpossibleGirl. I hope you’re doing ok.

Good luck everyone. Day 2 ...

OP posts:
MrsWidgerysLodger · 08/02/2022 11:16

Wow paws, sounds like you're really on it!
The entire weekend, including yesterday was appalling as I had a very indulgent weekend involving chocolate, cheese and Chinese takeout.
Back on it today, walked to work,have healthy food planned and WILL be in shape for summer!

gonelululemoncrazy · 08/02/2022 12:20

Thanks @poorpaws, he seems to be ok and is currently in bed reading Harry Potter. Can't help put worry thought.

@Bjarnum, know how you feel. I was doing really well for the first couple of weeks of January, but since then have really struggled.

Anyhow, no change on yesterday:
SW 13.5
CW 12.10
TW 11.0

poorpaws · 09/02/2022 08:08

I didn’t do quite as well on day 2 but not so bad either. I think I was worn out from day 1 so I spent more time sitting down.

I did the food shop last night and my trolley was full of salad and fruit, it was a rainbow of colour instead of the usual dark chocolate colour or beige. I think my food bill nearly doubled.

Last night I prepared a bowl of fruit in orange juice for today and this morning I have already prepared a shredded salad in a bowl for lunch with a lovely dressing.

I hope everyone is doing well or at least trying hard. A lot can be done in 10 weeks!

Good luck everyone. Day 3 ...

OP posts:
Bjarnum · 09/02/2022 14:23

Day2 - equally awful diet wise but so far have got a handle on it today. A few weeks back whilst giving Freya tummy rub I noticed a small soft lump. I was monitoring it and there seemed to be no change. But then after a particularly muddy walk clipping her became a pressing necessity. It was when I was lifting her that I found the rest of the lump - and it was massive. But could only be felt when she was standing - and can't be seen at all - which is why I'd missed it before. Cue dash to vets where they took a sample and we are waiting for it to come back from the lab. She is otherwise fine - not scratching at it, eating less or different from her usual energetic self. I am so worried - and feel dreadful for not catching it earlier.

MrsWidgerysLodger · 09/02/2022 14:36

Oh Bjarnum - hopefully it's nothing to worry about. Our old rottie used to get all kinds of weird fatty cysts and they were always just fatty lumps and nothing worse so fingers crossed

I'm back on track diet wise but I feel really tired this week so exercise.has been somewhat lacking.
