Got another 25 minute slog jog done, and 40 mins body pump. So I'm on track for the day, doing some work this evening which is ugh but unavoidable.

You’vesummed my experience of zwift up perfectly

Gensola · 04/12/2021 07:23

Hahah at Willy waving. Peloton is a bit like that - people going on about their massive output on a ride where I’ve barely managed to stay on the bike and keep breathing 🤣
I have a sore throat - two negative LFTs, do we think it’s ok or is it stealth covid?! Supposed to be going to see MIL today and do not want to kill her (much).
I’m quite prone to sore throats as I have scarred tonsils so I’m hoping it just that.
Had a Chinese and wine last night Blush but actually didn’t eat vast amounts, but what I did eat was pretty piggy.

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/12/2021 07:43

It’s probably just a sore throat. Though did you need an excuse….

Not2bObvious · 04/12/2021 09:33

If you ever needed an excuse gen....
Down a bit, day 2 of the 162's - 20'ish min slog jog done, quite hard as cold & tired

Gen we're just paranoid about everything now aren't we because there are so many symptoms but realistically it's probably the same thing you suffer from regularly!

My gym are setting up a wellness group in January just to support people through anxieties worries life not gym related, isn't that cool?

198.4 again today, think I might start tracking on Nutracheck again, there's 3 weeks until the big day.

So far I've had porridge & a wholemeal sandwich & pack of crisps from Dunnes & a Pepsi max & loads of water & a hiit class and walked the dog

Gensola · 04/12/2021 18:03

I have had a slice of pumpernickel/fitness bread with beans, three cups of tea and two black coffees, a chocolate eclair and a chicken salad pitta. A handful of olives and cheese cubes while cooking. Dinner is aubergine and mozzarella bake with greens and a choice of spuds or flatbread, I’ll avoid the carbs.
I have a big party next weekend where there will be a lot of people I haven’t seen in three years, some good friends but a lot of old work colleagues who behaved atrociously when DH and I got together (we worked at a very old fashioned school, some people really couldn’t cope with the age gap or divorces!) so I want to look my absolute best for the haters!
happier that sounds like a great idea at your gym, I’d love that.

Mrsmadevans · 04/12/2021 19:41

Not That is brilliant you are in the 162's yay! Xmas Grin
Gen you will be the envy of the place Go you! Star
Hope you haven't got the C word Flowers
Unescorted raw mushies are lovely l don't like the texture of them when they are cooked though all slimy Smile
Life that looks like a instrument of torture for me [fshock)
Happier that wellness group sounds brilliant, that is so good of them to do that Flowers
Been fine today , good food wise thankfully , l think if you don't have it, then it's easier not to eat it but it's the getting off the junk on the first place that does it , obvious really but it's so hard to get off it Hmm

Not2bObvious · 04/12/2021 20:16

How are you mrs? You managing your BP ok?
I am doing everything l can to give my body the chance to heal Not Smile B/P usually quite low at bedtime 115/70 no higher and sometimes lower. 130/80 in the morning or lower. I am very relieved as you can well imagine Smile Than you so much for asking it means a lot Smile As for your 162 , well l know it's been a long time you tryng but honestly it's been hard fo ryou , l think it is one of the hardest things l have ever had to do weight wise, lose the last few pounds, you are doing brilliantly l am so pleased for you Smile

Morning all. Cold & frosty here. Day 3 of 162'ish, mainly down to drinking more than I ate last night. Feeling quite ugh this morning but at least the scales was kind. Time to a mini fry & lots of tea, rehydration time, I'm like a crisp!
Any nice plans today?

Unescorted · 05/12/2021 09:33

Well done on keeping in the 162s Not You are where I am kind of aiming for.

gen there is a nasty cold that is doing the rounds with exactly those symptoms. DD was laid really low with it for quite a few weeks. It doesn't seem very contagious but when you get it you get it.

Happier that is a really good idea.

Today's weigh in...83.8kg - 11kg lost from the I will not let this get any worse epiphany. My turbo trainer should arrive soon so I can do a HIIT session in the morning and a cycle in the afternoon.

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/12/2021 09:48

Lots of not diet friendly food here. Need to hydrate today as didn’t drink enough yesterday

Gensola · 05/12/2021 11:45

unescorted that is an amazing loss! Well done you!
I am sick in bed today - my throat is so sore I can hardly swallow, have a fever and banging headache. Covid tests all negative plus i don’t have a cough or loss of smell/taste so think it is just a nasty cold.
Unfortunately it’s a really key few days at work and feel terrible at letting colleagues down. Sad
mrs I’m glad you’re feeling better!
Well done on the 162s, not

Not2bObvious · 05/12/2021 12:12

Oh no gen, you poor thing! Not sure how easy it is to see a doctor but with those symptoms you might need antibiotics. I swear by salt & vinegar crisps for sore throat, strangely soothing & salt is a natural disinfectant. I could never gargle salted water but I sure could eat s&v crisps. Maybe that's where my childhood chunk started, suffered a lot with my throat as a kid. Nothing you can do about work, no one wants anyone poorly around.
I'm back in bed, the hangover is coming in waves. Ugh, what a bloody waste of a day.

lifelongfrugaleer · 06/12/2021 06:44

Didn’t do so bad food wise over the weekend an frankly don’t care as we had a good time and it’s lovely to be away
Hope you are feeling better gen.

Not2bObvious · 06/12/2021 07:24

Did you go anywhere nice life? Great that you enjoyed yourself.
Bye bye 162's for now, it was nice. Back to 164.2 but that's still 1.4 less than last Monday so chippity chip chipping away. Couldn't sleep last night til after 1am despite being wrecked, had to get up & eat something to try to relax. Part of that 164.2 is last nights toast! I'm zonked now

OP posts:
Gensola · 06/12/2021 09:45

Sitting waiting for GP to call me back so I can beg for antibiotics. Think I have a proper case of tonsillitis - was up all night as it is so sore and painkillers aren’t touching it. I can’t even swallow water. Praying she doesn’t refuse. Sad

Unescorted · 06/12/2021 10:32

gen hope you got your meds.

Not2bObvious · 06/12/2021 10:45

Could be strep gen, if you're having trouble swallowing - not to worry you but really stress how bad it is.
