Thanks all - you’re a lovely lot of virtual friends you are!
I am keen to start spinning again, I might try to do it every day in Dec until we go to Spain (22nd) - I enjoy it a lot and wasn’t allowed to do it during IVF.
We have an appointment with the Czech clinic on 12 Jan to discuss a cycle with them, have a very long list of questions to ask them! I will have an enforced break though as we can’t really go out there until June/July because we can’t take time off in term time, so I’m hoping they’ll suggest some supplements or lifestyle changes we could make to improve our eggs/sperm before we go out and maximise our chances.

Not2bObvious · 27/11/2021 07:47

At least you have a week away in the sun coming up, the vitamin D will do you a world of good. Do whatever brings you a bit of happiness, a cycle a day until your holidays will surely improve fitness & get the blood pumping. Tempted to try one of the Les Mills spin classes but only have a cheap crappy bike that I doubt will be happy with my tonnage bearing down on it!
Up 1.6 today which might be down to long body pump session yesterday & chipper tea, I only had a small amount but I'm sure the grease & salt doesn't help. I am a bit achy so probably holding extra water. Now I've identified the reasons maybe I can let go of the annoyed feeling. Hate the SOD

lifelongfrugaleer · 27/11/2021 07:50

It will be all of those not.
Agree do what you enjoy gen.

I know what batteries I need for my scales. Just need to find them now or buy #babysteps
Been getting 15k steps but main lining choc

Not2bObvious · 27/11/2021 09:11

Getting your 15k steps a day will go a big way to offsetting the choc.
I have to say since ditching the Fitbit & now (mostly) ignoring step count on phone it's been quite scary but kind of good. It's put the focus more on my calorie deficit which over the weeks is happening. I haven't had a proper high calorie day in a fair few weeks. So losses are small but still happening. Got to try remember that. Next step will be to ditch mfp - I think I'd like to do that at some stage.

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 27/11/2021 11:57

I ditched mfp months ago. I’m over weight to where I want to be but haven’t put loads on. Still could make better food choices but the revelation of not eating random stuff to hit macros is brilliant

Not2bObvious · 27/11/2021 13:54

I haven't looked at macros in a while, so that's progress of sorts? Great you haven't done any mad damage.
Did a part 2 weigh in after "fasted" jog after shopping and child ferrying. This is my usual Saturday routine, hold off til 12 to eat. Back in the 163, so yep fluid bloat. Needless to say Happy Scales been updated and apparently I've lost .4 on average in a week. I'll take that.

OP posts:
Not2bObvious · 28/11/2021 09:16

Back up in the 164's this morning despite a surprising low calorie Saturday. Les Mills due to be done this morning and quel surprise I don't want to do it. I'll see how the day pans out.

Trip to Spain is now cancelled Sad my little brother is 12 and Spain are requiring all 12-18 year olds to be double jabbed for entry and he can’t get a second jab here so we are effectively banned from Spain. So devastated and feel we just have no luck at the moment.
I hope Mrs is ok, have been worrying about her!
I’m doing a couple of spin classes today and going to try and get DH out for a walk.

Not2bObvious · 28/11/2021 09:33

Aww that bloody sucks gen, I'm assuming they won't accept a negative pcr (had this with mine) Not surprised you're feeling out of luck🙁

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 28/11/2021 10:00

Ah no gen that sucks

lifelongfrugaleer · 28/11/2021 12:23

Oh that is bad luck gen

Gensola · 28/11/2021 12:43

One hour of spin done. Off to grab a fresh soup for lunch, then dragging DH out for a walk. Trying to stay positive!

Mrsmadevans · 28/11/2021 21:39

Thank you all for your lovely well wishes. l am getting there slowly. B/P today was 134/80 when l woke ,so the tablets are working but they are wreaking havoc with how l feel. l am absolutely floored by them, everything is like walking through mud. Hope everyone is ok Smile. Hopefully l will be back to normal soon . Take care everyone Xmas Smile
Gen l can't tell you how sorry l am my lovely Flowers

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/11/2021 06:56

Take care mrs

I braved Asod today and was pleasantly surprised

Not2bObvious · 29/11/2021 07:33

Glad the tablets are working mrs, hopefully it's just a period of adjustment until your system gets used to them.
That's good about your sod life, mine gave me another pound to start the week. So up 1.8 on Friday but a big improvement on last Monday's 3 up.

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 29/11/2021 09:09

Glad to hear that mrs you got a big fright, you do so much for others this was your reminder not to forget about yourself

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/11/2021 10:30

Ouchy back and leg

Gensola · 29/11/2021 18:28

Oh dear god - weighed myself and have out on six pounds 😬 period came today so hopefully some of it is bloat?!
I knew as jeans have been feeling tight.

mrs just keep taking care of yourself. Hope DH is looking after you.

life what have you done to yourself?

lifelongfrugaleer · 29/11/2021 18:35

Wait a few weeks gen as the ivf always makes you heavier. Let the hormones settle.

Lifting heavy logs and sitting too long on my fat ass = sore bac

Unescorted · 29/11/2021 19:25

Gen hormones are bound to make your weight do odd things.

Life ouch!

Mrs I hope things are getting back to normal and your family have stopped expecting you to run around after them.

Despite all the palaver this weekend, weight loss is still on track at 84.3kg. I am going to have to work at getting to 80kg by Christmas - 4.3kg in 25 days or 172g per day. It is touching distance now.

Not2bObvious · 30/11/2021 08:46

I think 6lb is very acceptable considering all the treatment & now totm gen, you got away quite nicely. Give it 2 weeks it'll be gone.
Down 1lb after my jog this morning, managed 25 mins - out for 45 in total. Not too cold so at least I haven't a chilled feeling. Would love to get back into bed though!
You could do a good dint in that number in 25 days un, me I'd need 25 weeks! 3 weeks from tomorrow from my proposed challenge. Must check back & update it, it doesn't make for startling losses 😂

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 30/11/2021 09:56

197.3 carb bloat, had chicken korma for one for Dunnes which is a massive portion plus 2 mini naans for dinner last night Smile

Gen don't be so hard on yourself

My goal is to get & stay under 196 until new year & then hopefully get on the losing streak, if I get going before then well & good.

Not2bObvious · 30/11/2021 11:57

That's sounds really tasty happier, that's a great goal too, I think we have to be careful to go easy on ourselves. Let's face it, we'll be surrounded by danger foods so if we snap, the damage could be significant. I usually spend 2 months getting rid of what I ate from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day, and I pretty sure I swear every year I'll change the story. I'm back on my one advent choc a day after today. So I'm having a choccie blowout tonight! My 2 fav bars bought & put into mfp. Now I need to fit in some actual food for the rest of the day

Mrsmadevans · 30/11/2021 19:06

Well the good news is l am feeling much better today , l even changed our duvet set to a christmas one today! l have been wanting to do this since before l was ill so l am glad l managed it at last Smile
The Amlodipine is working very well , my B/P was 125/74 this morning and l feel less like l am wading through mud now , l must be getting used to them at last , thank God !
Hope everyone is ok here , l have been off Caffeine and low salt since a week last Monday , l am eating lunch and dinner & restricting my cals to
1700 , this has been a huge wake up call for me Smile
Thank you all so much for being so kind l think l am getting back to normal now Smile

Mrsmadevans · 30/11/2021 19:44
