Mrs that sounds like a worry. Hope you feel better soon.

Gen It is understandable that you are second guessing everything. If it is any comfort I got almost all the way through being pregnant with DD without feeling hormonal. Tired and putting on weight but nothing else.

Weight loss seems to have plateaued. I kinked my knee so had to take a week off HIIT while it stopped hurting. I find not snacking so much easier if I have exercised... So no HIIT = eat all day every day. I almost commuted to the office to avoid the fridge temptation. This morning 85.7. I want 84s by Sunday. I may have to start running again.

PS bananas are nasty and there is more potassium in a potato. 😉

Happierwithouthim · 23/11/2021 07:52

Last time I bought another one it showed up so I have 2!!!!

197.1 my first day eating properly though

Agreed
Not2bObvious · 23/11/2021 11:28

Seriously don't risk running unescorted if your knee is anyway dodgy. It does sweet F'a for weight loss as far as I can see - a decent walk would suffice.
I've made soup for lunch so I'm trying to get a bit of nutrition in. I'll probably eat half a pan of bread with it knowing the humour I'm in

The knee issue is caused by having my feet too turned in when doing squats (years of dressage riding causes that). Running gets it all realigned again because I run like Charlie Chaplin.

I am quite lucky in that as soon as I can get my lard arse out the door and exercise the weight comes off. I am just very lazy.

Not2bObvious · 23/11/2021 21:29

Ahh well then, run wild. If running made me lose weight I'd be hella more enthusiastic about it. My bloody hip is achy again, I thought my few pounds loss (if you can call it that since it returns to visit regularly) had helped alleviate it but sadly not. Jaw wiring is starting to look attractive...

I love to run but it does nothing for my weight at all.

Friend of mines daughter wants to do a half marathon, myself & her mom did one a few years ago in charleville beautiful flat course, it's in sept so I'm hoping to do that next year. She just mentioned it to me on sat, hopefully weight will have started moving by then.

Sts this morning, very carby day yesterday

Doing HIIT today & have back massage booked for sat morn & didn't think of the class for then so I'll just walk dog instead

lifelongfrugaleer · 24/11/2021 08:10

I used to like running 10k not allowed now

Not2bObvious · 24/11/2021 08:49

Down a bit today, back in the 164's just about. Did a body pump which I found very tough, and then a 20 min gentle jog just to hold onto some of the c25k work. Did that twice last week, three times is target but I'm barely hanging in there with my fitness bits so something's better than nothing. Outfit I bought for Xmas day arrived, it fits but looks shit. Hey Ho

Happierwithouthim · 24/11/2021 08:58

No HIIT it's not on at 9:30 on Wednesdays & I've a meeting tonight so can't go then & it's raining so I'm unlikely to walk either, housework & the skip it is so!

Doctor referring me to encrinologist for my non existent periods, 8 years later.
Upped my meds for "diabetes" to 3 per day but only if I feel able for 3 doesn't have to be every day.

Not you're doing well with exercise
Life it's horrible not to be able to do an exercise if you enjoy it.

Unescorted · 24/11/2021 19:00

Today was HIIT with extra push ups, tricep dips and a core session added on for good luck.

Running seems to have worked.. 85.2.

Not2bObvious · 24/11/2021 20:56

You guys are great getting HIIT done. I put on a slightly different Les Mills workout, hiit with weights & switched it off after 2 mins. I just don't have the energy for jumping around. I used to but these days making it up off the floor after my stretches is a workout in itself.
That's a brilliant drop unescorted, 👏
Another day of fighting the hunger, losing the battle then clawing back before the end of the day. Need to learn to eat a decent snack rather than a biscuit here, a sweet there. When for the same calories I could have a bowl of cereal which would take longer to eat & keep me full for a bit. I need to be busier, take my mind off all my moans

Down to 164 exactly today, so 1.2 down on last Thursday but slightly up on happy scale average because of Monday/Tuesday flux. Very much hoping for a better food/mood day, had 3 days of low humour coupled with high hunger. Bad combo. There's seems to be some sort of hormonal pattern forming, must check my journal - I have a recollection this occurred to me and I may have made a note last time. This time 4 weeks it'll be Christmas Eve Eve....eek

Happierwithouthim · 25/11/2021 08:52

That's a good result not
I STS again today, I made lemon self saucing pudding yesterday so was lucky not to see a spike

Unescorted · 25/11/2021 22:44

Hmmm... I am going the wrong way. 85.6. I think I am v. hormonal b/c I have had a blinding headache all day. DS kept sending me motivational texts to keep me off the biscuits. I will see what tomorrow brings. I did an hour of HIIT this morning so it had better have been worth it.
Happier I would have had to eat my entire body weight in pudding.

Not STS is a win.

Not2bObvious · 26/11/2021 07:34

Another bit down and happy scales reckons I've lost .8 in 7 days, 2lbs in a month. Getting there. Average loss of .34 a week - must do better on my calorie deficit, if I could get down to 1700 I reckon I'd get .5 a week.
Did a 20 min jog yesterday, my second of the week. It's going ok, my pace is snail'like but it's more than a walk. It's meant to be weights this morning, had a shocking sleep, or should I say awake as I was up half the night. Not feeling too tired just a bit rubbish. Family over for coffee mid morning so if I'm going to workout it needs to happen soon.
Good for you unescorted doing a workout despite the headache, biscuits only help while you eat them. If you can stop at 2 & be satisfied then why not, if you can't then I'd defo try fight the urge. Sodding scales is a prick

OP posts:
Unescorted · 26/11/2021 13:13

The scales are my friend today. I have made it down to 84.7. That is just over 10kg lost & I have hit my second my milestone. First was to get to the 80s.

Thank you for your support.I couldn't have done it without you keeping me accountable. Not I resisted the biscuit urge.

Next stop is the 70s. I can do this. Hopefully before Christmas.

Not2bObvious · 26/11/2021 13:30

Aww that's brilliant unescorted, 10kg is proper timber, well done.
The accountability is great, just putting it out there that a workout needing doing galvanised me into action. Did a 55 min body pump & 20 min jog. Polishing my halo as we speak😂

Unescorted · 26/11/2021 14:21

It is the thought that you guys would think me an idle mare that gets me out of bed to do my kitchen shapes each morning.
DS reminding me to "improve your calorie deficit mummy" keeps me from inhaling the kitchen contents.
I still have 11kg to get to healthy weight. I am hoping to hit that by Easter.

Nice work - 55min body pump &29 minute jog is good going.

Not2bObvious · 26/11/2021 14:54

I have around 18 pounds to hit top end of healthy bmi - at my current rate, it'll be this week next year to hit it😬 Oh well, the time will pass one way or another

So it’s unfortunately another negative for us - 4th failed transfer this year and £15,000 spent on nothing but pain and disappointment. Sad we will go again but we can’t afford to do it in UK so looking in to going to Czech Republic in June.
Back on fitness and diet wagon as of tomorrow - peloton, fasting and clean eating!

Unescorted · 26/11/2021 17:00

Sweetheart. That is sad news.

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/11/2021 18:06

Take time to grieve this weekend gen. the diet and fitness can start when you are feeling stronger. X

Not2bObvious · 26/11/2021 18:11

I'm so sorry to hear that gen, don't be too hard on yourself - a bit of time to regroup wouldn't harm, no rush to get back on diet/fitness. I prescribe a big glass of wine if you fancy itThanks Sending a big hug
