Up a lot after the weekend and it's not shifting so far. Not back to exercise yet, maybe I'll try later. Hopefully once I've a few days of normal food, the bloat from booze/salt/sugar will go. I was just over 1900 yesterday which is a bit too high but that was down to a few bad choices & tiredness. Today will be better.
Can you sign up for 3 months to start life? See if it's right for you.

Not2bObvious · 05/10/2021 07:32

Sorry saw you said 20 a month, that's very reasonable. You may as well for that. My local one is €30 join up and then €39 a month. Tempted

79kg. So I’m thinking that a lot of the weight was clothes bloat and water retention.

Phew. I’m still not happy with the number. But at least it starts with 7 not 8.

Plans for the gym have been scuppered today as I have to get kids from nursery and home as DH is out for drinks.

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/10/2021 09:10

No it’s 12 months at that price £40 pm for payg. Looking at where I go now there are a couple of evening classes and some lunchtime ones off I go to the office on those days, hmmm

Not2bObvious · 05/10/2021 09:59

In that case, I'd do payg for a couple of months, if you're into then you could switch? Better to waste £40/80 than £240.
I don't know if the paying for something idea works, my experience is if I don't do it I have money guilt on top of not going guilt.

My Les Mills is sadly underused right now

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 05/10/2021 11:35

I pay now and don’t use to its ful potential

Not2bObvious · 05/10/2021 17:40

Decided to repeat my c25k week 3 rather than try week 4 since I've been horizontal for a week. Did a Les Mills so cost per use this month...€15😉 Hopefully I'll get 2 more done this week.
Back on track' mishap

I’m paying a fortune for peloton membership and not using it enough, need to start again. I used to be in a great routine with it but it’s just fallen by the wayside.
Three weeks or just under til next IVF so need to try and be healthy but after 6-8 weeks of no booze and being tired from hormones I just want to enjoy myself!

Mrsmadevans · 05/10/2021 18:14

Been ok today busy sorting the car ins for Bobbo and his driving license and looking at electricity/gas prices, what a Shock ! Grin
It's up shit creek re the gas and lecky now l am afraid. Time to pull my horns in! Food wise and spending.
Not think it is an excellent idea to repeat c25k week 3 rather than try week 4 imho Smile
Em that is brilliant you are 79kgs Smile
Life 240 instead of 480 but you have to sign up for 12 months ? Hmm l don't know what l would do TBH . Will you use it ? That is the crux of the matter . I know l know l am stating the obvious , l will shut up now Grin
Gen Fabulous news re the IVF won't be long before you know if you are pregnant and you can look at it this way , you will know by Christmas and can have yourself a merry little Xmas if you aren't , l know that is no consolation but ..........Smile

northender · 06/10/2021 07:29

Our gym membership is a real luxury. It's £50 a month and doesn't have great flexibility as it is class based, but only a small number daily. However we've been there for 4 years and I have never stuck to anything so well before, so it's worth it. If I have booked onto a class and I'm tempted to unregistered, I know I need a good reason as the trainers who run it will know I've chickened out!

Was up 3 pounds after the weekend but back down to 247 today, trying to get down at least 1 more pound before Friday

Not2bObvious · 06/10/2021 14:32

I'm still up on the weekend too north so you have company! Must be a nice gym, as long as you're sticking with it, it's worth it. I'm nearly 3lb up on last Wednesday and I can tell you it wasn't that mad a weekend. Pain in my face with it but trying to be a grown up about it.

I'm aching after yesterday's session, it's nice though to feel like I did something. It was only 33 mins including warmup/cool down but it was pretty tough. I'll aim to do another one tomorrow. Family stuff on the next 2 weekends, so potentially muchos eating/drinking. Be great if I could clear this bloat by then

OP posts:
Mrsmadevans · 06/10/2021 19:49

Have any of you ever done a fast to clear the bloat , only l used to do one if l had overindulged. Not for too long , just overnight till about dinner time . I used to feel a hell of a lot better. I have ony just remembered this and l will be doing this myself now l have remembered Hmm honestly l am dull Hmm Grin
Not it's a bit difficult when you have family things on and they are being nice but encouraging us to 'try this' and making it harder Xmas Grin
North that gym sounds fab l think you would be hard pushed to find a better one tbh Smile
Have been ok ish, Just had a Cod in batter for dinner from the chip shop no chips! Hmm Grin Fat lot of good that will do me Grin

Gensola · 07/10/2021 06:57

mrs I did the fast800 last year and it definitely works, I was losing a pound every other day, and I have kept it off despite not fasting now. It was fasting 8pm to 12 noon the next day and eating a low carb Mediterranean diet, 800 cals but you can also do it 5:2 so eat as much healthy Mediterranean food as you want on 5 days and 800 cals on 2 days. I found it helped me a lot as I psychologically struggle with hunger and have a fear of not having enough or not having food in the house etc so I over buy food and over cater for meals. I don’t know why I’m so afraid of it, we were quite poor growing up and I think food was unintentionally made a bit of an issue in our house as there was just about enough but no surplus so there was a lot of shouting if we ate something without asking, very little snacking between meals etc.

ememem84 · 07/10/2021 07:03

Pilates last night. And ended the day with 10990 steps.

No snacks yesterday. Which was really tough. I was ok until 3. Then got the hunger rage really bad!!

Annoyingly I left half my lunch at home.

Not2bObvious · 07/10/2021 08:51

I think it's no wonder you have food supply anxiety gen, my mother was a dreadful cook with no interest in food. I'm a good cook with rather too much interest.
I hated the disinterested attitude, like it was too much effort to stick a dinner on. Took up valuable drinking time I supposeHmm
Anywho mrs I think skipping breakfast can help & closing the kitchen at a certain time sensible but find anything more fast'like than that feels too punitive. Calorie deficit consistently over time is enough, it's the bloody time bit that grinds my gears. Makes the consistency irritating. I've never had to work so hard for so little reward. Down another smidge today, back in the 166's - probably be up again tomorrow as having pasta for dinner.

OP posts:
ememem84 · 07/10/2021 11:05

Colleague brought bacon rolls in. So that was an early lunch.

lifelongfrugaleer · 07/10/2021 19:49

In the Same as you gen, always over stocked and a feeder because hungry times when I was grown img up

Not2bObvious · 08/10/2021 07:32

As predicted up today, possibly more due to weights than my 80gr of cooked pasta. Back in the 168's. Nerves are being tested. Today & tomorrow won't be diet friendly and I'm leaning towards f'it mode after nearly 7 weeks of consistent dieting. If I could stick to maintenance cals that would be something, 2000-2200 can go quick but I'll aim to be mindful.
Anyone doing anything nice for the weekend?

OP posts:
northender · 08/10/2021 08:15

I'm 247 again, as last Friday. Happy with it in one way, but was hoping for at least a pound down. I hear you loud & clear Not, I've been going for 11 weeks now I think and am 17 pounds down which is great but I know how far I have to go and it just seems so slow. I know that's the best way but it's tough sometimes.
We were supposed to be away this weekend but changed plans so nothing much planned & ive got study to do...

Not2bObvious · 08/10/2021 10:37

I had a re-weigh after my walk, back to 166.2, goes to show how much fluid can be hanging around!
It's really just a case of holding your nerve isn't it north? I bet when you were 17 pound heavier, you'd have been thrilled to see the current number. We gotta just keep chipping away, we'll be like super models this time next year😉

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/10/2021 11:06

I’m off to hoys in Birmingham so lots of car today and hotel living

Not2bObvious · 08/10/2021 14:50

Is that hols or is hoys a thing over the pond😂 Have fun regardless.
Half my today chores done so feeling a bit less under pressure. Does anyone else feel like they could just keep walking around in circles picking stuff up, never ending here. According to my phone I've hit nearly 10,000 so that's something. Good breakfast & lunch done, Asian dinner prepped. Now I just need to avoid wine and excessive chocolate/crisps tonight. Wish me luck!

lifelongfrugaleer · 08/10/2021 15:12
