Happy June everyone. Here is the new thread. Not sure what my aims are this month, mainly to try and get on a more even keel. I'm up from the start of May 9st5.25 this morning. Hope everyone is still enjoying the good weather.

Well done hangover!! Back on course

MakkaPakkas · 12/06/2021 14:16

Yay! Well done @Hangoverstruggles
Keep going @drspouse 1lb on its own is nothing you can get back on the wagon

TheHoneyBadger · 12/06/2021 14:22

Did abs, hips and legs and glutes then an hour on the treadmill. Hoping the calories burned will cover the extra food and alcohol calories tonight.

Trying to not collapse on my bed but get on and do some chores to keep moving now I’ve finally stopped sweating 😓

Hangoverstruggles · 12/06/2021 19:45

We'll done Honey Badger - yours made of sterner stuff than me to do all that activity in this weather!

NutellaEllaElla · 12/06/2021 21:18

Hi all, I've been very active today, walked 14 miles and garden work. But I've eaten a lot too. I hope it balances out. Good going everyone else.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 12/06/2021 21:25

Well done all!

I've had a bit of a sit on the couch mental health day plus too much crap.. The crap certainly doesn't help. I am now hungry, low in energy, feel nauseous plus the guilt Sad Anyway, tomorrow morning equals a walk and my vaccine yay! I have also now got a date for a family get together and want to look and feel my best. So hopefully that will spur me on. Decent food in the fridge for lunch prepping during the week. Wish me luck. See you all tomorrow Smile

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 12/06/2021 22:04

@calfixes on twitter is very good for putting different foods side by side, in terms of better choices.

MakkaPakkas · 12/06/2021 22:27

Hope you're feeling better tomorrow @HeyGirlHeyBoy.
I finally managed to make my calorie goal today (1500) steps 13000
B. Toast pb & honey coffee
S. Cornetto, slice of water melon
L. Avocado, spinach, red cabbage salad with a really nice miso lime dressing
D. 3 Tacos & 3 cans of punk af

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 12/06/2021 22:33

Thank you MakkaPakkas and well done Smile

TheHoneyBadger · 12/06/2021 23:25

Hope you feel better tomorrow heygirl. We all need a day like that sometimes.

I've burned nearly 2600 cals and have eaten baked chicken, sweet potato wedges, salad and a corn on the cob then had a sort of ice cream sundae with dime bar bits in but ate less than half as I was stuffed so not as damaging as it could have been and I'm guesstimating max 1000 calories for the food. I also had 4 small (330ml) cans of Corona which is 520cals.

Lovely evening with friend and her partner and step daughter (she and ds get on really well) and actually got to eat outside.

I keep working on legs, bum, hips and abs at gym because they're big muscles so I'm hoping relatively easy to increase my muscle mass working on those. Put weights up on the leg press and abs machine today and it was manageable. Will try putting up the weight on the hip abductors and whatever the reverse motion is called next time. I'm doing that twice a week and hoping it makes a difference. In theory higher muscle mass equals higher bmr but I've never really sustained trying to improve muscle and kept an eye on the results before so would like to see if it really does make a difference in practice and what it actually takes to put on muscle.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 13/06/2021 07:49

Yum to that lovely food Honeybadger! I have no clue in the gym. I'm 9st0.25 this morning so thta has to end now. I feel awful, head dull, energy and mood on the ground.... So the only way is up.

Octopus37 · 13/06/2021 11:09

@TheHoneyBadger hats off to you with all your gym work. @HeygirlHeyBoy sorry to hear you're feeling down and rough, hope you feel better soon. Had a day out yesterday so quite a bit to eat and a couple of drinks, such a lovely day though was totally worth it. Hope everyone is enjoying the weather.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 13/06/2021 14:05

Thanks octopus. Sounds like a lovely day! I have prepped 3 days of ONO, made a ratatouille and my nutty broccoli rice for lunches. Off to the sea now. The close contacts have had the all clear Smile

TheHoneyBadger · 13/06/2021 15:46

I only did a quick on and off scales visit this morning. I only get the fine print if I synch scales with my phone and if I don't I only get the stone and pound not the decimal after the pound but it was the same stone and pound as yesterday so may have gained or lost a fraction of a pound. At least it's not haha we know you drank beer and will punish you with an outrageous number!

Say hello to the sea for me HeyGirl - very Envy

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 13/06/2021 19:37

Oh it was beautiful HoneyBadger, water shimmering in the sun etc. Thankfully not too packed as it was really hot but we picked the right beach. I've had a great day, teeth and skin done and tomorrow's breakfast, lunch and dinner decided on.
Berries and Greek yoghurt, 2 X cappuccino
Tomato, mushroom and cheese omlette
Ratatouille, I really loaded in the veg today so portion was great and there was a nice little bit of crunch.
Have a lovely evening all.

NutellaEllaElla · 13/06/2021 19:42

Well i've eaten like shit this weekend but have at least been active all day long.

MakkaPakkas · 13/06/2021 20:31

Oh, I've done badly today. Was fine until I went to the pub with mates. Then I had 2 aperol spritz and a vegan burger & chips. My step counter stopped working, but it will have been in the region of 5000 so not good there either. I did take the kids to the pool though so I've been sort of active.
Must do better tomorrow!

Hangoverstruggles · 13/06/2021 22:12

Hi all, checking in. I'm pleased I've stuck to what I wanted to since starting again - no weekend blow out! Wanting to stay careful this week, with a 'cheat day' planned next Sunday for family bbq.

B pear, banana, coffee
L Four ryvita, two hard boiled eggs & salad
D massive chicken salad & flat bread
S homemade pineapple sorbet, cherries, 30g choc, zero alc beer

Family had dominos pizza for tea and I made a chicken salad 😇

Salad box prepped to take to work for lunch tomorrow.

Only activity was busy day with kids. Also enjoyed a beautiful sea swim (t'was fresh!)

MakkaPakkas · 13/06/2021 22:19

I'm taking inspiration from you @Hangoverstruggles and planning out tomorrow properly.

drspouse · 13/06/2021 22:22

Back on the wagon, lots of lovely fruit and my favourite flavoured water came in the supermarket delivery. Walked 12K steps.

Octopus37 · 14/06/2021 06:53

Wow @Hangoverstruggles, I'm impressed with your restraint about the Dominoes. Didn't do too badly during the day, but went to Nandos in the evening, not great, but could have been worse, DS hoovers up all the sharing stuff. 9st 4.25 this morning. Aiming for good steps today

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 14/06/2021 07:43

Morning all. 8st13 this morning so my good day showed some difference. Sitting down to a massive bowl of ono here now. And will finally get a decent walk in tonight. Have a good day all.

LadyDanburysHat · 14/06/2021 09:43

Morning all. I am rather proud of myself for going to Costco on Saturday and not having a slice of pizza. I really wanted some, but 700 calories for lunch when I only eat 1200 in a day is too much!

I have managed to be pretty good food wise this weekend, but didn't really get any exercise in. Going for a bike ride today, and perhaps a lunchtime walk if I have time.

MakkaPakkas · 14/06/2021 13:42

Well done all! Today so far
B. Banana & coffee
L. Mackerel, avocado, spinach & red cabbage salad. Calipo
D. Duck and cabbage (planned)
Should be just under 1300 calories and I'll aim not to have more as I've been over 1500 the past few days.

TheHoneyBadger · 14/06/2021 15:54

Well done all.

I'm rubbish at the minute. I think I'm just sort of surviving day to day and can't summon the energy to really focus on anything beyond day to day getting by.

Don't think the lack of sleep from hot humid nights is helping.
