HELLO & WELCOME! March already and the start of Spring! We’ll all feel better with the onset of warmer weather ☀️.

This thread is for those of us who enjoy healthy eating, exercising and feeling motivated to reach (or maintain) a healthy weight/bmi. The founding members of these threads are inspirational and supportive in equal measure. I’m sure @SunshineCake & @halfshrunkmoretogo won’t mind me using them as Poster Girls.
They have both demonstrated that if we eat right, get outside & move more your mental health will heap the rewards. Better mental health = better choices. It becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.

There are so many enjoyable lifestyle options out there without the need to resort to extreme measures. Whatever way you choose, it needs to be enjoyable & sustainable for the long term. This is a long term commitment rather than a quick fix. I rarely drink alcohol and keep sugar to a minimum. I exercise by doing walking vids & strength sessions with light weighs.

As no one size fits all members need to follow their own way of eating. Nonetheless this thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

There is no shaming, competition or harsh words to be found on these threads. We are in this together.

Jump right in! If you’re not too shy, post a bit about yourself 😊. How do you plan to do it? What do you want to achieve? What excites you about your future self? Together, we can create a whole new you!

You’ll be glad you got on board this time next month 😊

Morning all!
Well done @MrsOmelette for the loss so far! I’ve also been going since January but my loss has been slower.
@overthecorona I find 16:8 on some days helps me if I want to really push the weight down. I can’t manage it every day though.
My best tip is prepping food for the week. We tend to prep our breakfasts and lunches for weekdays on a Sunday evening. Usually a one pot dish and some overnight oats, which we can portion up and grab. It just takes the stress out of decisions and I am much less likely to reach for convenience food as the healthy stuff is just as easy as it’s already made.
Welcome @Crazzzycat, I think a few of us have put on over the last couple of years as well.
I managed a really good day yesterday and had my official weigh in today and I’m down 1.5lb to 10st 7lb, which I am really pleased with.
SW (25/1) 11st 2.5lb
CW 10st 7lb
GW 9st 2lb
Still a way to go but I am definitely noticing changes in my body.

132orbust · 09/03/2021 07:47

Day 64
SW:151
CW:139
GW:132
12lbs in 64 days
Another 0.25lbs - I am pleased about that on a Tuesday as I may get a bit more off before the weekend to get under '7lbs to go' This last lb loss has taken ages.
Great to see our thread so busy, Come one come all!

HalfShrunkMoreToGo · 09/03/2021 08:17

Good morning all

@CescaNicole I've given up on the boost collagen drinks, wasn't noticing any difference so when they started to run low decided not to buy anymore.

I am wearing a pair of size 14 jeans today, not bad considering I started size 22 6 months ago 😁

Have been eating more this week so not convinced the scales will like me tomorrow, feeling a bit worn out with lockdown and really ready for more stuff to open up and places to go to. Think I'm just boredom eating to be honest.

Crazzzycat · 09/03/2021 11:00

Thanks for the welcome!

I’ve planned out my meals for the day and am contemplating whether I should go for a long walk this afternoon. I really want to, but terrible hay fever makes the great outdoors somewhat less appealing. I may have to go on the exercise bike instead!

SunshineCake · 09/03/2021 12:58

@Puffalicious!!! Where are you?!?!?!? Grin

SunshineCake · 09/03/2021 13:00

Excuse me while I share my running news. I told dh I had run every km at six minutes something and gave him the phone to look. This is the first time I have run every single one as a six and not a mix of sixes and sevens. Dh looked and I had run one at 5.39 Shock. I think back to when they were all 7, 8 or 9 and feel really proud.

SunshineCake · 09/03/2021 13:05

Welcome @Crazzzycat. I took heart from the tape measure telling me I was getting smaller when the scales weren't moving. Today's measurements tell me seven inches in total from my tummy, status quo for a couple of months or so plus one more inch of my thigh which is more recent. Why not try a small walk, wear sunglasses and see how you get on?

Super fast weight loss @132orbust. Well done.

Great jeans news @HalfShrunkMoreToGo!! Great stuff.

MrsOmelette · 09/03/2021 15:33

@Smarshian thanks. I’m feeling positive but it’s such a long way to go. I think I’ll feel better once I can get in jeans in the next size down! I tried on some 14s stretchy but was like a trussed chicken 😆

poshme · 09/03/2021 16:49

Well I've lost .3kg
Which is not much! But already feeling fitter as I'm doing much better with my daily steps and exercise.
Hoping it'll pay off with weight loss soon!

fallfallfall · 09/03/2021 17:41

hi everyone. so fast 800. 800 calories a day NO CHEATING...well no further weight loss in 4 days...not at all pleased.
i'll plod along. but if i don't see some impressive results by sunday, i'll be disappointed.

SunshineCake · 09/03/2021 19:20

I'm sorry you are disappointed @fallfallfall but you know it will happen. It is just not happening at the speed we would like. You are doing 6ourself good even if it is yet to show on the scales this week.

fallfallfall · 09/03/2021 20:29

I know @SunshineCake I keep repeating the positive dialog in my brain.
Meanwhile I’d like to do an AB session and sit in the hot tub. See if I can melt the stuff 😉

AuldFox · 09/03/2021 21:26

Amazing running @SunshineCake very well done!

@fallfallfall that’s hard core, fingers crossed for a big drop for you coming up soon Smile

CescaNicole · 09/03/2021 21:36

I think I may have to decide the same @SunshineCake, sleep is more important to me right now than the fizz!!!

Welcome @crazzzycat ☺️

@halfshrunkmoretogo fair enough, I will give those a miss then 😅 Well Done for the size 14s!! 4 sizes down is such an achievement!

@fallfallfall I'm jealous of the hot tub!!!

Weigh Day for me tomorrow 🙏🏻
Caved and had a little bit of chocolate today......

SunshineCake · 09/03/2021 22:20

Must be all about jeans. I can pull mine out by 1.5-2 inches Shock. Don't believe I could get into the next size down yet though.

joysmoy66 · 10/03/2021 07:33

Weigh in this morning 10st 2.4 so down a pound. Very happy with that.

132orbust · 10/03/2021 08:05

So funny @SunshineCake as I felt my weight loss has been so slow these last 3 weeks but good news again today.
Day 65
SW:151
CW:138.5
GW:132
Another 0.5lb off
12.5lbs in 65 days
6.5lbs to go ( and then I'll take a look and see what I reckon)

overthecorona · 10/03/2021 08:24

Weigh in this morning and up 1.5 lb since Sunday Sad. May be TOTM stuff. Hard to feel motivated as I was pretty careful all weekend. Argh. Love reading all your stories of sticking to it and keeping up the exercise etc though.

TheRealHousewife · 10/03/2021 08:59

joysmoy66 · 10/03/2021 10:15

joysmoy66 · 10/03/2021 10:17

And everyone else, sorry can't remember everyone lol. Hope everyone has a good day whatever you are doing Smile

CescaNicole · 10/03/2021 12:21

My weekly WOW:

10 St 2 Lb
So a loss of 1lb 👏🏻
Total loss this month so far: 3lb

SW: 12 St 1 lb
CW: 10 St 2 lb
GW: 9 St 7 lb

1 lb away from officially losing 2 stone 🎉
My sugar efforts are paying off! Just need to keep it up...!

Well Done for all losses so far.
Dont worry @overthecorona. Hormones are so pesky but that extra lb will come off again!! It's hard to keep up the positivity when stuff like this happens but just remember the body follows where the mind goes! Chin up xx

SunshineCake · 10/03/2021 16:11

Well done to every one. Whether you have lost or not you are trying and that is a win.

I'm not joining in weighing today as weighed yesterday as @Puffalicious will only let me weigh once a week. I will try and remember to way next Wednesday instead of Tuesday so I can join in.

overthecorona · 10/03/2021 16:40

Ah thank you @CescaNicole. Horrible weather here today and fighting urge to eat a pack of biscuits with a hot water bottle and enjoy the first no kids at home day for months...
