Anyone want to join me? It's 1st February tomorrow which seems a good day to start.

Three stone to lose here, I can't put it off any longer. I hate being overweight.

Nothing fits me and I am so miserable.

Well done @LBB2020
I had another small gain this morning but I expected that. Fake away and alcohol last night. Tonight is date night so expect another gain but then back on it again. It seems two steps forward and one step back is the way it goes but I'm ok with that as long as I'm heading in the right direction. I still want to enjoy myself and eat naughty things sometimes.

MischiefManager · 06/03/2021 08:18

Just checked my ideal bmi and depressingly I have 3 stone to lose to get there! Think I may need to up my game this month. Especially if I still want to enjoy some treats!

LBB2020 · 06/03/2021 09:13

I ate a big bar of chocolate last night Blush
Don't focus too much on your BMI @MischiefManager just keep going making healthy choices where possible and the weight will come off, you did so well last month! Life is too short not to have a treat now and again! (I just need to remember now and again is ok but every day isn’t Grin)

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 06/03/2021 12:55

10/8 still today - my stomach has been “sluggish” so I am putting it down to that. I won’t do steps today but did 12k yesterday and will do my exercise video.

@MischiefManager would it help to see the “gains” as normal fluctuations? That’s what I’m trying to do. I can be logical enough to know that (in my case) having a few days of not going to the toilet (sorry) means I am heavier, or that having a salty takeaway means I will retain fluid. Maybe weighing weekly is a better option?

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 06/03/2021 12:57

I also - and sorry if this offends anyone - really don’t think it is useful to think about food as “good”/“bad”/“naughty”. That was one thing I really took away from my disordered eating. Food is not a person, it doesn’t have a personality or morals. It can’t be bad!

MischiefManager · 06/03/2021 13:26

@Judystilldreamsofhorses that's a really good point about seeing foods as naughty etc. It's just food. I'm going to try and be aware of that. And yes considering the gains fluctuations is also really helpful. Thanks 😊

I've made the most amazing smelling steak and ale pie and lime cheesecake for date night later so I will enjoy every delicious mouthful and try to eat mindfully rather than stuff myself to bursting. I think that might be a healthier way forward. Eat what I need rather than binge on treats and then feel guilty.

LBB2020 · 06/03/2021 14:18

Good point @Judystilldreamsofhorses!
Enjoy your date night and delicious meal @MischiefManager

MischiefManager · 07/03/2021 07:44

Thanks @LBB2020 dinner was lovely! I have maintained this morning so I'm really pleased with that. Woke up and drank a big glass of water and I'm going to try to be much more mindful about eating today and listen to my body more oh and drink loads of water!

LBB2020 · 07/03/2021 10:21

@MischiefManager glad you enjoyed your evening! We had a big Chinese takeaway last night, it was delicious! Off out for a walk soon so hopefully walk some of it off! I definitely need to remember to drink more water, I wake up and my throat is so dry (I think breastfeeding makes it worse)

MischiefManager · 08/03/2021 07:46

1.4lb down and I'm now into the next stone bracket....but.... I've discovered that my scales weight differently wherever I put them in the bathroom Hmm. The highest weight was plus 0.6lb! I've taken the weight from the place I usually stand which is also the lowest but I realise that may not be totally accurate.

Planning to restart c25k later and continue with the better water drinking habits of the last couple of days.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 08/03/2021 12:07

10/7 here this morning. I had wine and pretzels last night - on a Sunday!

@MischiefManager congrats on being in the next stone! I think scales are pretty variable, so all that matters is you are consistent with the scales you use, and where you use them. I always stand in the same spot in the bathroom.

LBB2020 · 08/03/2021 18:08

Well done @MischiefManager Smile
Hope everyone had a good weekend. I’m really going to make an effort to stay on track this week, I’m so close to 10st now it shouldn’t take too long to get there!

MischiefManager · 09/03/2021 06:52

Another 0.2lb off this morning 😊

Seem to be keeping up the water drinking at the moment and last night went out with dd and did our first c25k run.

MischiefManager · 10/03/2021 07:23

0.6lb gain today. Ate pretty well yesterday though and as active all day so think it's just a natural fluctuation. Bit disappointing though because it puts me back in the next stone bracket, just.

I've been kind of naturally doing 16:8 for the last week or so, so I think I'm going to start doing that properly now along with being more mindful about my eating and see how that goes.

LBB2020 · 10/03/2021 07:43

I’m trying 16:8 this week @MischiefManager, well I’m working towards an eating window of 11am-7pm (this week I’m doing 10am-7pm to ease myself in!).
It’s pouring with rain today so I don’t think I’ll get out for a walk, hopefully DS2 will behave and let me finally do an exercise video! I started a programme to help repair my stomach muscles in Feb but it’s fallen by the wayside the past couple of weeks as the length of the workouts have increased I just can’t find the time! Hoping to restart that again this week 🤞🏼

MischiefManager · 10/03/2021 07:47

@LBB2020 I'm going for 10.30-6.30 but I'm gradually going to wean myself off milk in my morning coffee over the next week or so.

LBB2020 · 10/03/2021 08:10

I’m still having a coffee when I get up too. I’m not too worried about giving up the milk (and half a sugar) at the moment as I’m still feeding once or twice over night. Let me know how you get on cutting out the milk x

LBB2020 · 10/03/2021 15:15

I managed a workout video hooray!
Hope everyone is having an ok day x

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 10/03/2021 21:29

I feel like I am letting the thread down - stuck at 10/7. Work is just so busy and stressful, and I am working right through til evenings/on days off.

My eating has been okay but I’ve been stuck sitting down and my step count for the week is currently 23,000 - rubbish!

LBB2020 · 10/03/2021 22:08

Don’t be so hard on yourself @Judystilldreamsofhorses, 10st7 is only a few pounds from where you’re aiming for! WFH makes it really difficult to get steps in and when you’re working such long hours it’s hard to find time for exercise. We’re living in strange times and you’re not letting anyone down x

MischiefManager · 11/03/2021 06:57

Ah @Judystilldreamsofhorses I think it's much harder to loose when you've only got a few pounds to go. Your doing great!

I'm -2.2lb this morning. Biggest loss for a while and I'm only 2.2lb off loosing my first stone now...that's a good motivator to keep me going!

StrawberryFizz26 · 11/03/2021 08:20

Morning all,

Well done to everyone for keeping going. You are inspiring. I've had a crap week eating wise this week, but I'm still down. Currently I'm at 11st 12.5lb. I'm determined to shed a good amount between now and the end of the month so am really going to stick to the fast 800. I've got a day off tomorrow to time to meal plan and prep.
I've taken my measurements too so that will be a good motivator.

I'm day 6 of not smoking too. I finally found a vape that works for me.

I hope everyone has a good weekend.

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 11/03/2021 10:28

Thank you @LBB2020 and @MischiefManager - I know you're both right, and gaining 6lb in a year of a pandemic is hardly the end of the world, and it is only 3lb off my usual weight, but urgh. Anyway, last night I tried on some of my summer clothes, and they all fit fine, but there is a pair of size 10 Topshop culottes which are pretty snug at the waist, so I am going to use them as a goal. Let's just say I wouldn't be comfortable sitting all day in them!

You're doing so well Mischief - a stone is amazing!

@StrawberryFizz26 Fast 800 sounds brutal - good luck! And well done with the vaping.

LBB2020 · 11/03/2021 12:11

Well done @MischiefManager you’re doing amazing Smile
Well done on giving up smoking @StrawberryFizz26!

MischiefManager · 12/03/2021 06:56

1lb on again today, but I know I was good again yesterday so not too worried. Take away night tonight though so will be extra good for the rest of the day so I can enjoy that.
