Anyone want to join me? It's 1st February tomorrow which seems a good day to start.

Three stone to lose here, I can't put it off any longer. I hate being overweight.

Nothing fits me and I am so miserable.

Well done @ButterfliesnWaterfalls

I'm a bit peed off this morning to have gained 0.4lb after being good yesterday. Trying not to get grumpy and stuff my face with chocolate for breakfast Wink

StrawberryFizz26 · 21/02/2021 08:23

mischiefmanager try not to beat yourself up about it. We all have up and down days.

I'm not gloating but am so pleased to report I'm down from 12.4 (how I've not gained weight since 1st Feb is a mystery to me) to 12.07.

I've given up booze for lent and since Friday have been eating low carb. That's given me a real boost this morning so I hope I'm on the right track.
I've really enjoyed cooking healthy meals, so much better than a take away!

Have a nice Sunday everyone.

DisappearingHelen · 22/02/2021 07:11

Morning all.

That’s another week of February done! How was your week?

Mine was a rollercoaster. Went over points on monday, was better but not perfect tues-thurs, had planned treats on fri/sat then tried my first 24hour fast on Sunday (not quite finished yet - I’m awaiting 1030). I’m trying the fast thing after reading the obesity code - it’s said to help reset insulin resistance and since I’ve been either obese or overweight and yo-yo dieting my whole life, I’m a pretty good candidate for it being a useful tool. I’m not sure I’d be bothering if I were like some of you and only a few baby lbs over a healthy weight!!

Also succumbed and weighed in at random times and days this week (not official weigh in until 1st March so none of them ‘count’) and I’ve deffo lost a few lbs since the 1st but can never get over how much my weight fluctuates over a few days - I saw losses and gains of around 6lbs... Must put the scales away again and stop the playing!

Good luck this week folks - it’s our last February week so try and make it count if you can. Then we can decide whether we need a restart on the 1st March or just carry on Smile

MischiefManager · 22/02/2021 08:37

Well done @StrawberryFizz26

I am 0.6lb down from yesterday, which means I've now lost just over half a stone so I'm really pleased with that Smile

StrawberryFizz26 · 22/02/2021 09:00

Morning all,

I'm really chuffed but also bewildered, weighed myself again this morning & I'm down to 11.7!! If that's what no booze does then it's no wonder I've piled on the weight.

I was going for the fast 800 but think I did more keto than 800 calories, the only carbs/sugar I had was some chocolate on Friday, some sugar free sweets on Sat/Sun and 2 wholemeal pittas yesterday.

I had an extremely lazy weekend, didn't get out of bed until about 3pm on both days and dpup has to have only 35 min walks, his little feet are turning out and whilst the vet said not to worry at this stage, I want to make sure I'm doing everything right with him!!

disappearinghelen Well done. How have you found a 24 hour fast? It's probably best not to weigh yourself as you're fluctuating and you don't want to put yourself off if if you weigh on a bad day!

mischiefmanager Well done! That's awesome.

I would defo like to keep this thread going after Feb, I've only started to crack it over the past few days and I've found this really helpful in keeping me accountable and honest with myself.

How's everyone else going?

ButterfliesnWaterfalls · 22/02/2021 09:32

@MischiefManager Thanks Grin

I'm going to try and be better in terms of eating this week. I know with Intermittent Fasting they say you can "eat what you want" but it's better to cut out sugar and eat healthier.

LBB2020 · 22/02/2021 09:41

Well done on your successful weekends!
Mine was ok, I had a few treats but didn’t go overboard for once!
Fingers crossed for a good week, I can’t believe we’re at the end of February already!

DisappearingHelen · 22/02/2021 11:55

Wow people - some amazing losses there from @MischiefManager @StrawberryFizz26 and @ButterfliesnWaterfalls.

Strawberry: the 24hour wasn’t too bad overall. I had some bad lightheaded-ness and no energy a couple of times but mostly I felt fine (used broth/water to help overcome the tough times). The last two hours had me proper hungry but it might have been in anticipation of the end tbh rather than terrible hunger. My lofty goal is to do it around once a week but we’ll see how it works out...

ButterfliesnWaterfalls · 22/02/2021 14:09

That's great everyone. Please keep going.

I bought some dates today so will eat one when I am feeling like eating some biscuits. Usually late in the afternoon with a mug of tea Grin

StrawberryFizz26 · 23/02/2021 07:07

Butterfliesnwaterfalls I've never had dates, are they nice?

I stayed on track yesterday, could probably do with drinking more water and I did have half a pack of rice, I've weighed myself today and I'm 11st 13, 1/4. That seems more realistic than the 11.7 I was yesterday. I've managed to put my scales back to lb & St.

Keep going everyone

MischiefManager · 23/02/2021 08:35

0.4lb up again today! Did pretty well yesterday as well. I guess I'm seeing more of the normal fluctuations this week than I have done so far. Keeps me motivated though weighing every day so I'll carry on.

Well done everyone else Smile

RunningKatie · 23/02/2021 10:14

I think I'm writing off last week. It didn't start well and by the weekend I was feeling terrible. I've now had my first vaccine dose and am beginning to feel better today.
So, plan is to plan meals again, increase the dog walks - DH has had to do more, as I just couldn't walk for 2 hours. Onwards and scales going downwards!

Onamissionn · 23/02/2021 13:32

Well done everyone for sticking to it and getting back on it!
Now we have dates to see people I’m feeling even more determined. The idea of seeing people and no longer being the fat friend is spurring me on Grin

2lbs down this week, amazing as I weighed mid week and hadn’t lost anything so it must have all suddenly come off at once! Glad I didn’t give up when I saw nothing as I was tempted too.

Hope everyone has a great week

ButterfliesnWaterfalls · 23/02/2021 13:45

@StrawberryFizz26 Yes they are delicious. I usually get the Medjool ones from Tesco and break it in half as it's so big and sweet.

I have to say, they taste sweeter than chocolate. Definitely give them a go. I've actually gone off biscuits now. Before I would devour a whole packet with tea.

LBB2020 · 23/02/2021 17:30

I’m definitely feeling more motivated since the announcement and the prospect of actually seeing people again! It’s been a very odd year, I didn’t even see some of our friends and family while pregnant with DC2 and now we’re coming out of lockdown I’m squishy round the edges and have another child!
Well done everyone for sticking to plans! Hope you’re feeling better after your vaccine @RunningKatie

Teaplease29 · 24/02/2021 08:44

The thought of sitting in a pub garden in my nice summer dress is going to be my motivation. I went up to 10.6 this weekend gone after a night off, takeaway, wine and getting my period.
Today I'm not the 10.4 I was before but 10.3 Grin now I'm keen to make sure it stays this way tomorrow and does not float back up! Lots of steps today and I need to curb the evening chocolate as that is still my downfall.
If I can get just under 10 stone by the time we come out of lockdown I'll have basically hit my goal.

MischiefManager · 24/02/2021 08:50

I've maintained today. Not having a great week this week and I'm starting to feel myself lose motivation. It's been quite stressful for various reasons. Need to get back on it somehow.

StrawberryFizz26 · 24/02/2021 09:16

You can both do it!! I was 11.13 & 1/2 this morning, my steps have tapered off down to about 5k but I did start a pilates challenge and am going to be doing that 5 days a week.

I'm not going to weigh myself now until next Wednesday, stick to no booze all weekend but I am having a biiiig takeaway on Saturday, one cheat day is allowed!!

Keep going everyone, and have a good week.

DisappearingHelen · 24/02/2021 10:05

Hey losers!

Sorry to hear there’s some struggling from @MischiefManager and @RunningKatie. Don’t give up if you can! You know you want this even if you have a few wobbles!

Congrats to the on-plan ers. I am on plan myself but slightly less than angelic. Stress is a bit up and down still and so is food. However last night I almost caved and ordered a massive, terrible takeaway but ended up eating more sensible things from the kitchen instead (arguably my portion size was bigger than needed but loads better than a greasy pizza!). Small wins!

ButterfliesnWaterfalls · 24/02/2021 12:04

I've been eating really well, and exercising daily. But the scales have gone UP to 11.8!! Sad

Will definitely stay away from weighing it can be such a demotivator.

LBB2020 · 24/02/2021 14:28

Well done everyone Smile
I’ve not kept quite to plan but I haven’t gone completely off the rails! I’ve been out for a long walk both yesterday and today as well. I’m going to hold off weighing myself until Sunday instead of on Friday. Fingers crossed for a good loss for all of us this week!

MischiefManager · 25/02/2021 07:36

Maintained again today. Not a huge surprise to be honest but still a bit harrumph!

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 25/02/2021 09:41

Hello, I lost you all - the thread dropped off my list. Well done to the losers. I started Feb at 10/8, weigh 10/6 this morning - must try much harder!

RunningKatie · 25/02/2021 10:29

As well as being back at school sooner than I guessed, a big night out has been rebooked - and I do not fit in my nice clothes. Hoping this is a motivation.
I logged onto mfp and I've gained over a stone since summer 2019.
It's sunny today so hopefully can do a good dog walk at lunchtime.

MischiefManager · 26/02/2021 07:21

Woohoo -1.4lb this morning. That's better! Only thing is, this is the naughty weekend with all the kids so I need to be super disciplined. Another lb gets me into the next stone bracket so that's a big motivator.

Well done everyone, keep going! Keeping motivation is so hard isn't it!!
