Dancing through December

Octopus37 · 30/11/2020 07:27

Well thought I would start the last thread of the year. Weighed in at 9st2.25 this month, my aim is to end December at a similar weight. I'm not realistically expecting to lose.

Steps make some difference for a few reasons. Gotta get on it myself this week. Down to 8st 13 here and I won't weigh again now till Fri. Here's to a good week ahead. This might be an easier week for us, to maintain or whatever ahead of Christmas week.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 14/12/2020 19:08

Logging the day, v different to plan so I'm glad I said I'd log.
B: berries and Greek yoghurt
L: spag bol and broccoli with cheese, apple
D: veg chilli with half portion of basmati, creme fraiche and more cheese.
Done.
I've put on my teeth whitening strips and that prevents me eating Grin Just about the 10K and about a half litre more water to down.

TheHoneyBadger · 14/12/2020 20:27

Hi. Isolating waiting on bubble friend getting test results ergo not an active day.

Coffee, water and herbal tea through day and baked chicken breast in bacon with lots of green veg for dinner. 4 chocolate digestives and a glass of wine.

Hope everyone is doing ok

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 14/12/2020 21:19

Nothing wrong with that! Sounds delicious all round. Hope your friend OK.

IDontMindMarmite · 14/12/2020 21:27

My water drinking has gone to pot. Will try harder tomorrow!

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 14/12/2020 21:34

Decided to log my day in a bid to get more disciplined. Wouldn't it kill you that with greek yoghurt (100g), bolognese and a chilli full of pulses as well as two cheese portions, it only adds up to 25g protein... Can that be right?! Anyway well under budget so happy anyway. So true re water. It is key!

FestiveFannyGallops · 14/12/2020 22:26

Dreadful diet day today. Buttered toasted muffin for breakfast, a few Pringles (about 5 or 6), some chocolate, roast potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, carrots, broccoli and Yorkshire puddings, and homemade chocolate cake. It's been worse I guess. No idea on calories but probably not that bad really. Certainly within normal, just not within my limit. I'm really hungry tonight too thanks to skipping lunch. No school run so I w not even made 10,000 steps today.

sparklyglitterball · 14/12/2020 22:27

@Octopus37 I hope you're feeling better, sounds as though feeling overwhelmed with stuff. Maybe it's the time of year? I always feel like there's so much to do in the lead up to Christmas. We had a zoom Christmas party on Saturday which involved a three course dinner and lots of bubbly. Followed by a slight hangover yesterday which always gives me the munchies! So trying to reign it in today to compensate. Skipped breakfast, had leftover noodle soup for lunch, quorn spaghetti Bol with a smallish potion of pasta for dinner. Snacked on some fruit and almonds.

sparklyglitterball · 14/12/2020 22:29

@FestiveFannyGallops probably a normal days worth of calories there, don't be too hard on yourself. It's annoying when you still feel hungry.

Octopus37 · 15/12/2020 07:06

Festive gallops you've got some veg in there. So so yesterday, not healthy but 9st1.75 today.

NellietheNumpty · 15/12/2020 07:08

As I suspected I have put on weight this week. 0.6kg I also have an event today and tomorrow that will involve social eating which is my weakness.
Feeling quite negative.@FestiveFannyGallops like you I am going to log these few days to help myself and to be accountable.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 15/12/2020 07:54

I find just fill a plate at social gathering, one plate but whatever you like, and enjoy it. Have a good day all.

TheHoneyBadger · 15/12/2020 08:57

Big upswing today but really need a bm but can't so hoping it's that 🙏

Nothing of interest to report having been isolating.

FestiveFannyGallops · 15/12/2020 10:21

I need to poop too. I've not weighed myself today but will tomorrow. Back on track today and will let the dc finish the cake off as I'm not fussed about cake anyway. The sun is out so I'm hoping to get a walk in today at some point.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 15/12/2020 12:14

Just logging a NSV while I can - surrounded my sweets today in work, someone even kindly left a chocolate bar on my desk..! I was going to but had 10 almonds instead Star and I'm now nicely hungry for veggie chilli lunch. One hour at a time!!

IDontMindMarmite · 15/12/2020 21:00

So according to my fitness pal, i'm 1261 calories over my weekly goal - from last Tuesday to today. Probably because of all the eating, i've not felt at all like snacking today and have eaten less than my allocation. Onwards and upwards. Will just try to brush my teeth again iykwim

FestiveFannyGallops · 15/12/2020 22:59

I've not logged today. It feels like a lot but probably isn't in a normal day. Just not the healthiest of days.

Tea and toast with Nutella for breakfast
Grilled cheese sandwich
About 5 Pringles
About 400 calories chocolate
Quorn and cucumber sandwich
4 quorn cocktail sausages
Cake with a small scoop ice cream
Crisps

I'm really hungry right now too but I'm too tired to go downstairs to get anything.

Octopus37 · 16/12/2020 07:07

Had Dominos last night so 9st3.5, how many times have I done this. O well, lots of water today and a bit less food

OP posts:
IDontMindMarmite · 16/12/2020 07:58

Have you tried the Greek yoghurt pizza? It's still delicious and easier to got in to a food budget.

IDontMindMarmite · 16/12/2020 07:58

Fit not got

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 16/12/2020 08:19

Full accountability for yesterday - I caved later in the day. Eye roll.
B: ono
L: veg chilli, small portion basmati, cheese and creme fraiche
D: roast chicken, carrots and two small roast potatoes.
And the rest: snack size crunchie, a few moams, sickly sweet marshmallows, packet of skips and a hot choc. That sent me just over the 2k cals. Going to keep logging for now. Help keep me honest if not on straight on narrow! Octopus I know how that feels, compassion to you. We'll keep on keeping on. I do feel better doing the weekly weigh, let's see if it helps. Water water and plenty of good stuff today for me.

TheHoneyBadger · 16/12/2020 09:42

Avoiding scales. Lots of crisps yesterday and 2 snickers ice creams. I usually order crisps I'm not keen on but didn't this time and then couldn't resist.

Monochrome4 · 16/12/2020 11:22

Morning everyone. Relieved I'm not the only one who's gone off the rails a bit this week! My son is self-isolating. But actually my main weak points have been secret snacking and evening snacking which I can't blame him for. Today I'm not logging calories but I'm trying to keep up the water and avoid snacks.

60.7kg this morning. I've been hovering around the same weight for a couple of weeks but as long as I don't go up I'm happy.

Octopus37 · 16/12/2020 13:31

I dont mind marmite, I would try greek yoghurt pizza, but my boys are fussy buggers and I would end up having to do something separate for them in the new year. I'm kind of winging it at the moment, not really in the groove, but hoping to feel a bit more focused in the new year. Aiming for damage limitation.
