Well thought I would start the last thread of the year. Weighed in at 9st2.25 this month, my aim is to end December at a similar weight. I'm not realistically expecting to lose.

60.1kg this morning. I'm definitely not weighing myself tomorrow so I'm quite happy with this weight.
Have a good day everyone!

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 24/12/2020 07:22

Good meals, decent steps and water but crisps and some chocs too.. Today might make more of an effort and will definitely do well on steps. Happy Christmas Eve!!!

FestiveFannyGallops · 24/12/2020 08:20

I've been thinking on how much I've lost this year and when I started. I bought my scales on 14th July so it's been 5 months and I've lost 5.5kg which doesn't seem like a lot at all. However it's been slow and steady and therefore more likely to stay off, I've improved my eating habits and it's a good 12lbs and I should be happy with that.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 24/12/2020 08:40

Absolutely. Well done Fanny. I was 10st 1 on Jan 14th so feel confident I was at least 10st 4 on Jan 1st when I began. I was just under 8st 13 last week. Slipped on my winter coat on Tuesday, that was sorely tight on my arms last year.

NellietheNumpty · 24/12/2020 09:00

Brilliant @HeyGirlHeyBoy and @FestiveFannyGallops.
It is good to reflect and congratulations on what each one of us have achieved. Even looking out and aiming high is an achievement this year.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 24/12/2020 09:28

Someone has just posted a pic of me last year in said quote, straining at the buttons..

Octopus37 · 24/12/2020 15:08

Well done everyone. I was 9st11.25 on 2nd Jan and weighed 9st2.75 this morning which isn't my lowest, so think thats 8.5 pounds.. I am aiming to get into the 8st next year but its not top priority. I've been relaxing a bit over the last few days. Might actually not weigh myself for a couple of days.

Yeah well done everyone, you've been a real trooper Octopus and we've all achieved so much.

Octopus37 · 24/12/2020 16:54

Hi, just checking in......been a busy week. I did my last weigh in this morning before letting my hair down for Christmas and have lost just under 2lb! So around 3kg in total in 6 weeks. Trying not to panic @Monochrome4 and just enjoy the festivities for a few days, but it's almost like a mindset now. Saying that I've managed quite a few chocolates today 🤣 it sounds like you're all doing brilliantly, I hope you all have a lovely Christmas.

FestiveFannyGallops · 24/12/2020 23:23

Well done to everyone who's made positive changes even if they are small or not even scale based and I bow to those who have kicked the lard's ass in an impressive manner. Those of you who run and/or go to the gym have me green with envy at your commitment to fitness. All I do is walk those bloody hills most days and climb stairs. It's been an awful year so I hope you all enjoy Christmas, however you celebrate it, and that you let your hair down and enjoy all the good food and drink things on offer. I certainly intend to! For me it will be hard not to feel disgusted with myself for it but I've come a long way since July mentally towards food and have much healthier habits so Christmas won't have me needing dentures to use the tooth brushing analogy Grin
HAPPY HOLIDAYS! 🎄

Monochrome4 · 24/12/2020 23:32

Merry Christmas everyone! You've all done brilliantly in what has been a shitty year for many, and we can all have a well-deserved break. Whoopee!

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 25/12/2020 09:17

Happy Christmas wonderful women I have come to see as my daily friends Xmas Smile Have a wonderful day whatever shape it takes this year.

Octopus37 · 25/12/2020 14:56

Merry Christmas everyone. Eat, drink and be merry x

Merry Christmas lovely ladies xxx

FestiveFannyGallops · 25/12/2020 23:33

I hope you've all had a lovely day.

Breakfast: fried potato buttie (food of the gods) Tea x2
Christmas lunch: 2x homemade Yorkshire puddings, honey roast carrots abs parsnips, roast potatoes, mushy peas, stuffing, broccoli, cranberry sauce. Small slice homemade Oreo cheesecake.
Dinner: 2 slices pizza, 5 chilli cheese bites, 1 halloumi bite. Tea.

2 medium glasses wine
Plenty of water
About 6 matchmakers, 1 strawberry pencil, 1 quality street, 4 mint thins.

I think that's quite restrained for Christmas Day. I have 10 active hours logged, 2000 calories burnt, 3 miles walked despite not leaving the house, and 25 floors climbed. I can live with that.

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 26/12/2020 06:21

Ah now Fanny, you didn't read the fine print about not having to log on Christmas Day Grin And where's your tin of celebrations and box of milk tray in there?! Grin Hope you had a lovely day! I love how varied your day was BTW, rather than mine : dinner and ten kilos of chocs! Are you veggie? Off for a good walk today here.

IDontMindMarmite · 26/12/2020 08:00

Yeah that's remarkably restrained! I don't dare think how much I ate yesterday.

Hope everyone had a lovely day!

Octopus37 · 26/12/2020 08:24

Yes Festive, I'd say that sounds quite restrained. I ate quite a bit yesterday, Christmas cake, crisps, a few chocs, my Christmas dinner, but we were all too full for pudding (has never happened before) so will have it later. Have just eaten a couple of chocolate biscuits now, but thats my breakfast. Have got some yummy party food for later and I have a feeling the kids will want KFC or similar. DH working later and I've got to nip out and do a job this morning. In a way I prefer Boxing Day to Christmas Day, always find doing Christmas Dinner quite stressful and it does tend to dominate the day, feel more chilled today.

FestiveFannyGallops · 26/12/2020 09:26

Yes, we are veggie and have never had but roast or any alternative to meat. We are all about the Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes.
60.5kg this morning.
I guess I just didn't fancy lots of chocolate. That might change today 😁

HeyGirlHeyBoy · 26/12/2020 10:45

I agree octopus, today is the loveliest day. Enjoy all.

IDontMindMarmite · 26/12/2020 11:50

I feel so bloated my stomach is a solid balloon. We're going for a walk to try to settle it down. We're having our scaled down boxing Day lunch this evening but it's still substantial. After that though we'll be back to something resembling normal eating.

TurningOfTheWheel · 26/12/2020 12:18

I ate way too much yesterday and the scales say i am 2lb heavier already. I know it may mostly be water weight but I need to be careful, I definitely went over 2000 calories. Why is this sooooo hard?

FestiveFannyGallops · 26/12/2020 12:25

Peppermint tea, a good walk and a good poop should sort most people out today Grin
I'm thinking of breaking open the Christmas biscuits.

IDontMindMarmite · 26/12/2020 12:36

Yeah mint tea can be pretty miraculous!
@turningofthewheel don't stress about food yet! You're in the middle of the time of year when it's near impossible to moderate!
