Hi! So during the first lockdown, i set up an instagram where I posted photos of every single thing that entered my mouth except from tea, and it really did discourage pointless snacking as I’d pop into the kitchen for a random biscuit but then I couldn’t be bothered to take a photo of biscuit as phone was in the other room, then I realised I didn’t actually really need the biscuit and back it went! It was super effective for a while and along with MFP I lost about a stone, but then I started to follow other instagram account and got some followers back and felt pressure to make everything look pretty, which meant I stopped posting absolutely everything so started having random snacks again, and have now put back on a few pounds! I tried setting up a new private instagram but wasn’t really that motivated! So I’m starting again but instead hoping a mumsnet thread will help!? Anyone fancy joining?!

I’m for a calorie deficit of around 500 per day, so eating about 1750-2000 and burning 2250-2500 (i have a fitbit alta which estimates total calories burnt). I walk a lot (1.5-2 hours a day with dog plus i walk to work) but am going to try getting into running again too! Trying to not be too restrictive food-wise as I’m having problems overeating by quite a bit some days! (when I don’t track while eating and then add up after I can easily put away 4000 calories a day without realising Confused )
I’m currently about 9stone (havent checked for a bit so possibly more!) and aiming for about 8st4.
So yes, please do join and we can look at eachother’s non-instagram-able food! Halo

Ps. a tip I never knew about MFP which makes life sooo much easier, is you can click edit, and check all ingredients for a meal if you’re batch cooking for example, then do ‘save meal’! Saved sooo much time! But maybe everyone knew this already except from me Grin

Todays food for me:
Breakfast: banana bread muffin, microwaved with frozen berries, biscoff spread, 2 crumbled biscoff biscuits (fully recommended, tastes like berry crumble!), 200g greek yoghurt mixed with cinnamon, plus a small mocha ~ 508 cals
Lunch: chicken paella leftover ~ 410 cals
Snack at work: Almond bounce ball - 158 cals
Snack after work: mini hersheys bar plus 2 mini cinnamon biscuits - 78 cals
Dinner: Vegan burger with cheese, sweet pot fries and salad - 800 cals
Lots of tea with oat milk! - 44 cals
Total cals: ~ 1954

Can I join in please? I had weight loss surgery 7 weeks ago but still need to make good choices and hold myself accountable! All your meals look amazing.

Today I had a cottage cheese omelette, lunch was a slice of toast and peanut butter and dinner was chicken shawarma (everything homemade!). Also had a pack of Pom bears as a snack.

Hi everyone,
Sorry I haven't posted in so long, I haven't been able to find the time now I'm working (thanks for your congratulations message @Friedbanana!) -job is going well..
I'm going to try and be more accountable from today as my weight loss has kind of plateaued. My eating is ok on my three work days as I have the same set (relatively healthy) breakfast and lunch and healthy-ish dinner but it goes a bit downhill on the other four days, especially now we can eat inside cafes etc. Anyway, back on it from today- bacon, poached egg and toast for breakfast + mocha - in the words of @Friedbanana my breakfast made my 'heart happy' 😊

Breakfast was overnight oats made with grated apple, Greek yog, honey and seeds.

Lunch was leftover chicken shawarma, salad and tzatziki

Dinner was roast chicken, skirlie, potatoes and sweetcorn

Had my usual avocado toast with cream cheese for breakfast but slathered some chopped basil into the cheese too. With about a bit of omelette and some melon.

Lunch was a plate of fish biryani. It was definitely high in calories as I'd fried the spiced fish in flour first and also added fried potatoes and lots of fried onions, saffron, herbs and lashings of ghee. But it was oh so delicious! I would usually take two servings but I had just one helping so that's something. Had it with some leftover Baba ganoush (aubergine dip) and cucumber.

Dinner was just an apple with a cup of winter spiced tea with a spoon of honey.

Fish biryani sounds delicious!

Today, I had oats, yog, apple, cinnamon and seeds again.
Lunch was leftover roast chicken dinner from last night.
Dinner was honey soy salmon, pak choice and wild rice/peas/spring onion.

Snacks were seed crackers and roule cheese, and a bite of cranberry and pecan bread.

I've been lost in the wilderness for quite a few weeks but I'm hoping I've now sorted out the root cause. So I'm back and hoping this time I've cracked it. Yesterday I had:

Breakfast: crispbread with caviar and egg (sounds post but caviar in Sweden is a tube of salty fishy paste, their equivalent of dairylea!)

I've ditched the 2 kiwis per night as it turns out I'm allergic to the hairy little feckers and that they may be the cause of my recent tiredness and over eating.

Weight loss is power in the body. There is nobody wants to try he/she would like to fatty. I am 59 kg. I am very thin. I will try to get fat and shill thin. Suggest me how I will fat?
I've been a bit naughty today. Not out of control binging like before, just a bit naughty. I blame going to the dentist this morning and the trauma that causes. So I've had:

Breakfast: toast and ginger jam

Mid morning: banana (no pic as it was straight after the dentist and I was shaking too much)

Lunch: homemade tomato and cheese on toast (no pic as still traumatised)

Mid afternoon: Lidl apple pie

Dinner: kamut wheat and mushroom salad with pickled red onions and a side portion of smoked mackeral.

After dinner: Lidl caramel cornettoey thing, which was delicious

I went to Lidl after the dentist and bought 2 bags full of delicious junk food but I'm happy as I feel eating it is controlled. I think, just like Christmas, that my shopping brain is still in overeating mode so wants to buy everything, even if I don't actually want to eat it.

I've been losing weight @GoldRhino but have been through a period of gain over the last few months due to health problems and difficulties identifying the triggers. Yesterday I ate so much I put on 2 kg in just one day but I know exactly why, change of meds, so I won't be making that mistake again.

Today I had:

Breakfast: crispbreads with eggs and caviar

Mid morning: blueberries

Lunch: farm soup with turkey bacon
