Hi! So during the first lockdown, i set up an instagram where I posted photos of every single thing that entered my mouth except from tea, and it really did discourage pointless snacking as I’d pop into the kitchen for a random biscuit but then I couldn’t be bothered to take a photo of biscuit as phone was in the other room, then I realised I didn’t actually really need the biscuit and back it went! It was super effective for a while and along with MFP I lost about a stone, but then I started to follow other instagram account and got some followers back and felt pressure to make everything look pretty, which meant I stopped posting absolutely everything so started having random snacks again, and have now put back on a few pounds! I tried setting up a new private instagram but wasn’t really that motivated! So I’m starting again but instead hoping a mumsnet thread will help!? Anyone fancy joining?!

I’m for a calorie deficit of around 500 per day, so eating about 1750-2000 and burning 2250-2500 (i have a fitbit alta which estimates total calories burnt). I walk a lot (1.5-2 hours a day with dog plus i walk to work) but am going to try getting into running again too! Trying to not be too restrictive food-wise as I’m having problems overeating by quite a bit some days! (when I don’t track while eating and then add up after I can easily put away 4000 calories a day without realising Confused )
I’m currently about 9stone (havent checked for a bit so possibly more!) and aiming for about 8st4.
So yes, please do join and we can look at eachother’s non-instagram-able food! Halo

Ps. a tip I never knew about MFP which makes life sooo much easier, is you can click edit, and check all ingredients for a meal if you’re batch cooking for example, then do ‘save meal’! Saved sooo much time! But maybe everyone knew this already except from me Grin

Todays food for me:
Breakfast: banana bread muffin, microwaved with frozen berries, biscoff spread, 2 crumbled biscoff biscuits (fully recommended, tastes like berry crumble!), 200g greek yoghurt mixed with cinnamon, plus a small mocha ~ 508 cals
Lunch: chicken paella leftover ~ 410 cals
Snack at work: Almond bounce ball - 158 cals
Snack after work: mini hersheys bar plus 2 mini cinnamon biscuits - 78 cals
Dinner: Vegan burger with cheese, sweet pot fries and salad - 800 cals
Lots of tea with oat milk! - 44 cals
Total cals: ~ 1954

Well done @Sillybilly35 on your weight loss!
I've been maintaining over the last week or so as I'm off work on my Easter holidays, I find it easier to eat well when I'm at work so I'm giving myself a break and hoping to start losing again after the holidays.
You seem like you're keeping on track @Smile3, well done! 🙂

Also meant to add, I was struggling with having lots of chocolate lying around after Easter so I gathered it all up and used the chocolate to make brownies which I cut up and froze so now I can treat myself occasionally and the temptation is gone, it sounds silly but I actually felt a lot 'lighter'(?) and more in control of my eating once the chocolate was out of sight - thought this might help anyone else who is struggling with having treats around the house 🙂

I made some homemade kabab pitta for tea no pic for yesterday.
Today I have had a massive walk and feeling positive.....u agree on Easter kids would be passing me bits of chocolate when they clearly feel sick Grin ha. So today I have made a chicken salad, my coffee and choc fibre brownie which are delish and only 88 cals.

I'm back. I've spent a couple of weeks completely lost in the wilderness, weight going up, eating rubbish, generalised inability to adult. But I appear to have finally got to the bottom of the problem, a new mask for my CPAP machine. Now I feel like a grown up again and can get my shit together.

So yesterday, first day back to 'normal' I had:

Breakfast: Danish ryebread with cottage cheese

Mid morning: a banana

Lunch: quick noodles

Hello that's a great loss @FatCatThinCat it's not letting me put pics on when I try it knocks me off Hmm I have lost 4lbs this week so feeling good. I'm sleeping really well since I have starting fasting i dont know how that's works but I'm not complaining. Weird but I dont even feel hungry after my 16 hours are up. Have a great day!

Whey hay its shown I had a bacon sandwich for my lunch and some flapjack for snack and for tea chicken, jacket potatoe/cheese and salad. Burnt 2300 cals eaten little bit more then usual 1900 but that should still be equivalent today.

Hi everyone, belated congratulations on your new job @raspberrypickle hope it’s all going well!! Hope everyone is well!!
I’m going to come back on here to post as I just seem incapable of keeping myself accountable haha and I was using Instagram as it was quicker to post but it just wasn’t doing it for me, I stopped taking photos and wheni don’t take photos I just eat noticeably worse. Like it sounds really really silly but I sometimes won’t bother adding a big side salad if I’m not taking photos (I know how lame this is lol) and I think my side salads make a huge difference to whether I’m satisfied. And there’s the constant snacking and eating that I need to curb. Haven’t weighed myself but pretty sure I’ll have put on a few pounds. Also have stopped running as I had a foot injury. I’m not feeling bad about it really just want to make sure I don’t carry on like this lol so going to aim to eat like 2000 cals each day and burn at least 2500 cals to lose the extra pounds over the next few weeks :) going to try intermittent fasting again as @Smile3 has inspired me. First day is always the hardest to get through not eating till 12!! But I had a nice coconut milk latte which was only 18cals as I used skinny syrup

What a beauty.. chicken gyros with chips and all the sauce.. estimating 1000 cals for this :) feeling good and satisfied, now just got to try not to snack till dinner which will be chicken fajitas and then I should have hit my goal :)

Broke my fast in a very bad way today but was delicious with my coffee. Went for a 2hour walk this morning and when I got back i was ready to eat and grabbed that Blush
