Hi! So during the first lockdown, i set up an instagram where I posted photos of every single thing that entered my mouth except from tea, and it really did discourage pointless snacking as I’d pop into the kitchen for a random biscuit but then I couldn’t be bothered to take a photo of biscuit as phone was in the other room, then I realised I didn’t actually really need the biscuit and back it went! It was super effective for a while and along with MFP I lost about a stone, but then I started to follow other instagram account and got some followers back and felt pressure to make everything look pretty, which meant I stopped posting absolutely everything so started having random snacks again, and have now put back on a few pounds! I tried setting up a new private instagram but wasn’t really that motivated! So I’m starting again but instead hoping a mumsnet thread will help!? Anyone fancy joining?!

I’m for a calorie deficit of around 500 per day, so eating about 1750-2000 and burning 2250-2500 (i have a fitbit alta which estimates total calories burnt). I walk a lot (1.5-2 hours a day with dog plus i walk to work) but am going to try getting into running again too! Trying to not be too restrictive food-wise as I’m having problems overeating by quite a bit some days! (when I don’t track while eating and then add up after I can easily put away 4000 calories a day without realising Confused )
I’m currently about 9stone (havent checked for a bit so possibly more!) and aiming for about 8st4.
So yes, please do join and we can look at eachother’s non-instagram-able food! Halo

Ps. a tip I never knew about MFP which makes life sooo much easier, is you can click edit, and check all ingredients for a meal if you’re batch cooking for example, then do ‘save meal’! Saved sooo much time! But maybe everyone knew this already except from me Grin

Todays food for me:
Breakfast: banana bread muffin, microwaved with frozen berries, biscoff spread, 2 crumbled biscoff biscuits (fully recommended, tastes like berry crumble!), 200g greek yoghurt mixed with cinnamon, plus a small mocha ~ 508 cals
Lunch: chicken paella leftover ~ 410 cals
Snack at work: Almond bounce ball - 158 cals
Snack after work: mini hersheys bar plus 2 mini cinnamon biscuits - 78 cals
Dinner: Vegan burger with cheese, sweet pot fries and salad - 800 cals
Lots of tea with oat milk! - 44 cals
Total cals: ~ 1954

Yesterday was

No breakfast.
Lunch was home made soup with roll (no butter)
Dinner was veg, Quorn nuggets (3), 1 slice reduced fat garlic bread.

Snacks- cucumber and reduced fat soft cheese, 5 squares of dark choc, 1 hobnob.

Hello all! I have had some pretty stressful life stuff going on so I'm just happy to be eating whatever Blush I'm using the children going back to school next week as a aim and try to get life back on track and things calm down 🤞 I'm getting out for a walk daily but not stood on my scales. Hope everyone ok and I can come back to taking pics and talking to u all very soon...one step at a time eh!

Hello everyone, hope you're all ok. I've not been taking photos for a few days just felt crap and not in the mood anyway it's my 30th birthday tomorrow so won't be posting tomorrow either but I'll be having a mcdonald's breakfast and a takeaway for tea not sure what though yet.
Today's food I've eaten what was going out of date so it wasn't wasted.

Dinner - fish cakes, veggie spring rolls and salad with sweet chilli sauce.
Tea - breakfast wraps - sausage, hash brown, egg and cheese.

Drinks - 1 coffee, 1 beanies coffee, 600 ml squash, 600 ml water.

Calories eaten - 1875
Calories burned - 2510
Calorie deficit - 635

Hello everyone!

@Friedbanana I love their dutch short breads, the ones with the chocolate on. Also the belgian chocolate and hazelnut cookies, the chunky ones, are great!

@FatCatThinCat I still can't upload photos on my phone either so have to use my laptop which is a lot more arduous!

Today I have walked 5.5 miles, burnt about 1800 calories, eaten maybe a little more than that..
Breakfast: Five belvita breakfast biscuits and some crackers (350)
Lunch: Lentil dahl soup, cucumber and hummus (350)
Snack: Celery, packet of sunbite crisps, five quorn cocktail sausages, mini soreen loaf (350)
Dinner: Asda plant-based lasagne and two white bread rolls (about 700)
Drinks: Coconut mocha (100)

Not tracked cals again today, I burnt 2600 so prob in maintain or deficit :)

Pre run- oat milk latte and 2 crispbreads (yesterday photo)

Post run- Larabar (microwaved mmmmm)

Snack- biscuit and stuffed date

Lunch- quorn sausage, onion chutney sandwich

Pudding- 2 x biscuit and Greek yoghurt apple combo

Snack- chicken and garlic and herb Philadelphia (had some extra as well but no photo)

Dinner- More apple/berry/yoghurt combo with alpro custard and 2 m&s almond biscuits as a crumble topping- sooo good

Also had some more small coconut milk decaf lattes

Today’s food:
Breakfast: Nescafé skinny cappuccino sachet; Green smoothie;
Lunch: Breakfast wrap: 2 slices and bacon and 2 hash browns (snap @Sillybilly35 😊)
Snack: Pop chips
Dinner: Spaghetti Bolognese- it was meant to be half courgetti, half spaghetti but it didn’t spiralize properly 😕
Snack: 2 squares dark chocolate; 6 peanut M&Ms
Dessert: Custard; cooked apple; nuts; biscoff; dark choc chips;
Calories eaten: 2000 approx
Calories burnt will be 2100ish by the end of the evening

Dinner: cabbage pudding (traditional swedish dish) with potatoes, carrots and lingonberry jam

I've had two bad nights this week, which means two bad days. Weigh day for me tomorrow so I'm hoping I've stayed the same, which would be a lot better than gaining.

Hello! I’ve not had the healthiest day by any stretch haha but I didn’t snack in between ‘meals’ (counting my huge cookie as lunch 😅) and I weighed myself this morning and actually seem to have lost weight even though I wasn’t trying, I guess because I’ve managed not to binge for past few weeks :)

Breakfast- mocha and 2 topped crispbreads

Snack- 10g lindt, no photo

Lunch- chai latte and large cinnamon swirl and biscoff cookie (ate half while out then half when I got home, microwaved with a bit of alpro custard, goji berries and raisins, no photo)

Dinner- chicken fajita salad- I had a bit more chicken than this too and later ate more salad too, no photo of the extras

Snack- 3/4 of an oatmeal raisin NYC style cookie I made (yes I know this is deff over the daily recommended cookie allowance however I have been meaning to bake these for ages, but worried I’d have zero self control as I’ve not got a great baking track record recently, soooo I decided it would be a good idea to bake when I’ve already actually had a huge cookie, then I won’t be tempted to eat loads! I did of course have to try, so had a 1/4 of one, then it was ridiculously good so had another half! But better than having the whole tray 🤪 burnt around 2300 cals so possibly in a maintain but I haven’t tracked :)

Hi!

Didn't fit much exercise in but I ran about 2.5 miles in half an hour or so! Friday's are never fab calories wise but I really enjoyed my lunch

Breakfast: couple crackers, two belvita breakfast biscuits and a white bread roll (400)
Snack: five Quorn cocktail sausages (170)
Lunch: celery and tzasiki with a Thai grains Quorn pot and added mushrooms (400)
Snack: Madeline cake and a club bar (250-300), pringles (150)
Dinner: soya tikka starter, poppadoms and dips, half a side of mushroom masala and veg jalfrezi, two onion bhajis
Drinks: half a bottle of wine

I'm pleased to report that I weighed in at 112.9 kg this morning. That's a teeny weeny 0.3 kg loss but having any loss after the week I've had is a blomming miracle. I'm well chuffed.

Breakfast: Smoothie; Skinny cappuccino sachet with 1 teaspoon of hot chocolate;
Snack: Apple
Lunch: Homemade leek and carrot soup; lentil curls;
Snack: pop chips; 3 squares galaxy dark chocolate; decaf skinny cappuccino sachet with 1 sugar;
Dinner: 1x spare chicken nugget from my daughter’s dinner; Chicken and prawn masaman curry with noodles; 1x poppadom;
Dessert: Greek yoghurt; 10g biscoff; 10g choc chips; nuts;

  • cup of skimmed/ almond milk Calories eaten: 1845 approx Calories burnt will be 1700 approx I managed to complete C25k week 8 run 2 today after two previous attempts 🙂 Hope you’re all well

Breakfast: two slices of white toast, one buttered, with a slice of chilli cheese and some Quorn pepperoni (500)
Lunch: peanut butter (100) and protein flap jack (250)
Snack: celery and tzasiki (100), two falafels (100), creme egg (170), digestive thins (150)
Dinner: pasta bake with broccoli, leeks, sweetcorn and salad (800)
Drinks: coconut mocha (100)

Exercise - walked 4 miles and cycled 8 miles. Also gardened for 20 minutes. Burnt maybe 2100 calories according to my watch. Ate about 2270. Yesterday was probably exceeding my calorie limit but I did walk 11 miles yesterday which helps

Just want wondering, do any of you use any food tracking apps?

I've fallen so far off the wagon this weekend I've managed to put on over a kilo in just 2 days. I need to get my shit together. I've been doing so well but now chaos is creeping in.

Saying that, today has been a good day. I've had:

Breakfast: toast with ginger jam

Midmorning: a banana

Lunch: quick noodles
