Hi! So during the first lockdown, i set up an instagram where I posted photos of every single thing that entered my mouth except from tea, and it really did discourage pointless snacking as I’d pop into the kitchen for a random biscuit but then I couldn’t be bothered to take a photo of biscuit as phone was in the other room, then I realised I didn’t actually really need the biscuit and back it went! It was super effective for a while and along with MFP I lost about a stone, but then I started to follow other instagram account and got some followers back and felt pressure to make everything look pretty, which meant I stopped posting absolutely everything so started having random snacks again, and have now put back on a few pounds! I tried setting up a new private instagram but wasn’t really that motivated! So I’m starting again but instead hoping a mumsnet thread will help!? Anyone fancy joining?!

I’m for a calorie deficit of around 500 per day, so eating about 1750-2000 and burning 2250-2500 (i have a fitbit alta which estimates total calories burnt). I walk a lot (1.5-2 hours a day with dog plus i walk to work) but am going to try getting into running again too! Trying to not be too restrictive food-wise as I’m having problems overeating by quite a bit some days! (when I don’t track while eating and then add up after I can easily put away 4000 calories a day without realising Confused )
I’m currently about 9stone (havent checked for a bit so possibly more!) and aiming for about 8st4.
So yes, please do join and we can look at eachother’s non-instagram-able food! Halo

Ps. a tip I never knew about MFP which makes life sooo much easier, is you can click edit, and check all ingredients for a meal if you’re batch cooking for example, then do ‘save meal’! Saved sooo much time! But maybe everyone knew this already except from me Grin

Todays food for me:
Breakfast: banana bread muffin, microwaved with frozen berries, biscoff spread, 2 crumbled biscoff biscuits (fully recommended, tastes like berry crumble!), 200g greek yoghurt mixed with cinnamon, plus a small mocha ~ 508 cals
Lunch: chicken paella leftover ~ 410 cals
Snack at work: Almond bounce ball - 158 cals
Snack after work: mini hersheys bar plus 2 mini cinnamon biscuits - 78 cals
Dinner: Vegan burger with cheese, sweet pot fries and salad - 800 cals
Lots of tea with oat milk! - 44 cals
Total cals: ~ 1954

Morning! Weigh day today and I have lost 3lb! So I have eaten more calories this week compared to last and lost an extra 1lb. Amazing haha.
So now I've lost 9lb my new BMR is 2298.

Hope everyone is is well.
@raspberrypickle, not had any snow here (south yorkshire) just sleet and icy winds.

Well done sillybilly! 3lbs is amazing!
Try not to let it get you down riotgirl. Hopefully it's just a blip, maybe weigh again tomorrow to see if it was just a weird result today?
This is my day so far-:
B- waffle, biscoff spread (OMG it's delicious how have I never had it before this thread!!) blueberries and bananas
L- nimble bread, smoked salmon, cream cheese and cucumber sandwich.
Snacks - 1 cocktail sausage stolen off DD's dinner, a sweetclem and a graze oat bar thing.
Also several coffees and peppermint tea.
All together that is 722 calories. I am still meticulously weighing everything and putting into MyFitnessPal because I feel like that way I get to eat more Grin

Rest of my day -:
Snack - bag of popcorn, activa light peach yogurt
Tea - chilli made with part mince and part quorn mince/red lentils. Some cheese, sour cream and rice.

Calories eaten: 1521. Calories used up to this point: 2086.

I'm really nicely full and have enjoyed my food today but I've still got a decent deficit. I'm going to weigh in tomorrow so will let you know how it goes.

Hey, not the best day today I was up just about all night last night with my son because he's not well and so I've done nothing really apart from cuddles with him. Had a takeaway tonight, seems to be a Monday treat these past few weeks 🙈

D - smoked haddock melt in the middle fish cakes with salad. 618 cals. Really enjoyed these they made a nice change.
T - grilled chicken kebab, salad and garlic mayo. 1202 cals? (Cals from MFP)
Snacks - 2 poppadoms. 2 sweets. 90 cals - no photo

Drinks - 1 Coffee, 1 beanies coffee, 600 ml squash, 300ml pepsi max. 55 cals

Total calories eaten - 1965
Total calories burned - 2453
Calorie deficit - 488

Today I have had slimfast for breakfast and dinner snacks some nuts and a cereal bar, tea was a chilli pasta bake which I really enjoyed. Cals eaten 1250 cals burnt 2300.

Wondering if anyone knows why but on my fitness pal it says to lose weight eat 1250cals but I downloaded a nhs 12 week challenge yesterday and that says eat 1600 Confused

@Smile3 me and my friend was chatting about this earlier, according to the NHS I could eat 2317 cals a day but all other calculators say around 1920. Seems crazy 😦

Hello! Yay well done everyone for weigh in days!! @Sillybilly35 3lb off is amazing! And so good how you did that by eating more cals! And @whyarewealwaysmuddy that’s so good, and so much more sustainable than starving yourself!! And glad you like the biscoff!!
@riotlady just echoing everyone else, prob just a fluctuation and you picked an unlucky day to weigh!

Didn’t end up logging food yesterday as I was too lazy, however think i prob stayed under 2000 cals as I ate similar to other days!

Breakfast- cashew milk coffee
Lunch- my usual bagel
Pudding- microwaved apple and cinnamon, biscoff, almond butter, greek yoghurt, marshmallow fluff, maple syrup
Snack- couple teaspoons of marshmallpw fluff, biscoff , almond butter mixed tigether
Snack- 35g lindt
Dinner- peanut butter noodles with vegetable gyoza that were stuffed at back of freezer that i’d forgotten about till @riotlady post!
Snack- grated carrot with little dressing

Then went on a 5k run and had a protein hot choc :) Burnt just under 2400 cals so I’m guessing a decemt deficit but I will log today as I’m bad very for underestimating cals when i don’t log it all!

Thanks for the support everyone- you were right, weighed in this morning and was 2lbs down on yesterday so I’m back on track! 6.5lbs down altogether

Full of cold and don’t feel like eating anything other than soup and buttery toast today. Have given myself the day off (perks of being a student!) so I’m going to lie on the sofa and watch SVU and feel sorry for myself xD

Well done on your loss @whyarewealwaysmuddy! Feels much more sustainable when you get to eat nice food

So far I have had 855 of my cals had my dinner early as got a busy afternoon and know I wont have time to stop and leftovers was just calling my name. I'm mixing it up a little with my foods sometimes I will have shakes with 1 main meal then sometimes will just try to stay in my daily allowance of calories,as I dont want to feel like I'm missing out.
I'm not eating crisp and chocolate which I used to binge on. But week two and I seem fine maybe will have a beige meal like my pizza overload once a week. I dont know if that's right but only time will tell...
Well done on everyone's weigh ins and hope @riotlady feels better soon. Smile

@friedbanana how do you make your bagel look so tasty? Do you do something to the bananas? Oh maybe you fry them, hence the name.

I've eaten quite a lot today. I was going to try and keep my calories lower than over the weekend but a lady I worked with baked and I couldn't resist!
Snacks - millionaires shortbread, popcorn, sweetclem, activa light yogurt
L- leftover chilli from yesterday
Tea- mindful chef thai soup - absolutely delicious!
Calories eaten - 1636, calories burned so far - 2150.
I might go out for a run (well restart couch to 5k) because I'm feeling pretty tense and stressed from work and I think it'll help.

Hi everyone!

D - tikka wrap, lentil curls. 608 cals used seeded wraps and they are so much nicer than my usual plain ones.
T - chilli and veggie rice. 689 cals made this toddler friendly but still enjoyed it.
S - peach slices, banana and just had raspberries and banana with custard. 457 cals

Drinks - 1 Coffee, 1 beanies coffee, 600 ml squash, 300ml water, cup of tea, 250ml pepsi. 78 cals

Calories eaten - 1828
Calories burned - 2533
Calorie deficit - 705

Lunch- McDonald’s bacon cheeseburger and chips
Dinner- 3 slices of garlic bread and chicken and sweet corn soup
Snack- 3 squares of dark chocolate

@FatCatThinCat 😂 welcome to the thread!! And that’s an amazing loss so far, well done!!
@whyarewealwaysmuddy yes I fry the banana slices in a little frylight! Just about 2 mins on each side until caramelised! So good! espesh with spread, biscoff and peanut butter! That soup does look really nice!! Hope you’re feeling less stressed soon!

Food today:
Breakfast- cinnamon coffee
Lunch- bagel
Pudding- same yoghurt combo as usual but with berries too
Snack- couple teaspoons of biscoff, almond butter and marshmallow fluff each, mixed together!
Dinner- vegan burger in a cheese bagel, with melted cheese, salad and polenta fries
Going to have a protein hot choc after my run which i’m about to go on!
About 1800 cals eaten and will have burnt about 2450 after run :)

I tried to post last night but it kept disappearing. So this is yesterday's food.

Breakfast: Danish rye bread, lettuce, sliced turkey, cucumber, peppers and coffee.

Mid morning: Banana and more coffee

Lunch: Cod fillet, Jerusalem artichokes with sweet almonds, apple and broccoli mash, and green beans. I cooked this for dinner the day before.
