I do the 16:8 and skip breakfast in favour of black coffee. If you haven’t read the thread, to update you, I am at last at target, having dieted since June, and I am very happy about that
but also very worried about maintaining
.
@DiesalFive Thank you Very Much for the recipes. I make lots of soups but haven’t made hummous yet.
Can I say that although I don’t do keto I have skipped bread, pasta and pastry in my diet and it is this change that has helped me shift the last few pounds. I love carbs but i have finally got used to food without the obvious white carbs on the plate.
I ate quite a lot of eggs each week and cut a serving down to one egg. I eat a lot of things on a bed of warm veg or salad, even though this is not instagram-worthy as it is a bit odd. I try not to munch on even a morsel of food that is not part of a planned menu. I eat off a smaller plate or bowl.
I found also, a big meal blow out put my weight up, but then cutting right back after made me lose more weight rather than remaining static as I had before. I made sure there was a lot of roughage in my big meal too - skins on veg, or tomatoes. Eating the meal seemed to push up my metabolism briefly.
Not sure if any of this is helpful? I am now just under 110lbs and want to drop a little more to give my Christmas eating some weight wriggle room. Dropping more seems very hard right now but i have not been at target weight for long.
Christmas is cranking up - zoom get-togethers and adverts on the tv. We really need to complete this weight loss and maintain, very soon!

If I can encourage you,.. feeling slim and, for me, having better legs, feels really REALLY GOOOOD. I felt grim after lockdown1 even though I was happy when eating lots!
Now, I am more flexible and I feel strong and healthy and I have lots of energy. I think about food less. I still enjoy cooking. As ever, I do have the cravings in the evening but the weigh in in the morning is more exciting and in the mornings I feel GREAT!!!. I have an early supper, drink wine or port some evenings but also then revert to Decaf black coffee to fill me up... and then the next morning‘a weight loss really helps my motivation.
The journey is arduous, but keep going. You are worth it!
