Here's our new thread.. 9st0.75 this morning, had some pub tapas last night and a couple of pints, was truly delicious. Will be having a couple of days when I'm away, going to my Sister's for a couple of days either today or tomorrow. I'm sure nobody can guess what my aim is for this month lol

I've had a very upsetting evening with dd and skipped dinner as just didn't get round to it. All I ever wanted was to be a mum but it's bloody hard.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 22/08/2020 20:14

Oh @Bercows i'm sorry, hope you're ok.

I am on holidays now and in an effort to not be a bad influence, i shall keep quiet about food i think!

Heygirlheyboy · 22/08/2020 20:46

Oh bercows Sad It is bloody hard. Tell us about it if you like.

TheHoneyBadger · 22/08/2020 21:17

Definitely hard. Ds and I are still close by usual standards but he’s now 13 and it’s bloody intense sometimes. I confess to sometimes day dreaming about life after he’s independent and I get to spread my wings again.

Heygirlheyboy · 23/08/2020 08:34

9st2.75 this morning. Yippee! I have 9, 2inmy sights now.
B:ONO
L: Toastie wrap with roast veggies, red pepper pesto and goat's cheese
D: fish/chicken and veg and potatoes
Interval training @10

Octopus37 · 23/08/2020 08:55

Bercows, its so hard isn't it with kids, have had very difficult times with my DS1 who is now 13, and it really does have a negative impact and take it out of you. Doesn't help that society is so childcentric these days. Hope you are ok. Honeybadger, I know what you mean about looking forward to kids being independent. tbh I cannot wait for my youngest (he's only 10) to start high school so I have more work options, not many people understand that. 9st1.25 this morning. Busy day today with work etc. Hope everyone has a good day.

Yesterday end up ordering domino's coz apparently "everything is healthy lately". Grin
It wasn't terrible as I had the lighter breakfast ever and only ate half a pizza. But I will not weigh myself till tomorrow.
B: 2 scrambled eggs on toast.
L: roast chicken
D: oven baked chicken with veggies

Lalanbaba · 23/08/2020 09:55

That should be oven baked fish. Not eating roasted chicken chicken twice a day

TheHoneyBadger · 23/08/2020 12:34

We had a takeaway. I got on scales and it said 14st1 still but I didn’t sync with the app to get the next decimal point. I’ll have put a bit on no doubt but at least I know it’s less than a lb.

Getting really tempted to go to the pub for a pint recently. I think I just like the idea of a bit of normality and getting used to being around people before going back into crowded classrooms in 9 days time.

No breakfast or lunch today and not sure what dinner will be. Haven’t had a shop so will likely be some form of freezer surprise.

Heygirlheyboy · 23/08/2020 12:58

I have to tell you my wrap was absolutely delicious! Almost 500 cals and worth every one!

Octopus37 · 23/08/2020 15:32

Dont blame you HoneyBadger. Go and treat yourself to a pint, it does feel lovely and normal, plus the pubs are very well organised with social distancing etc.

Thanks octopus I’ve resisted today. I’m a bit worried that come September people are going to be expecting teachers to not go anywhere outside of school and I may get hissed at for entering the coop let alone the pub Grin Will try and get a few pub visits in before then just in case.

Have fasted so far today and still quite happy with a herbal tea. Ds has gone full nocturnal again so no demands for food yet.

TheHoneyBadger · 23/08/2020 17:52

I am dreading having to get him out of bed in September by the way!

Octopus37 · 23/08/2020 19:43

Know what you mean. Might be better to go to the pub on a non fasting day, if I drank with no food I'd be on the floor. Know what you mean about the early starts, although DS1 was up quite early today.

TheHoneyBadger · 23/08/2020 21:16

Still fasting so unless insomnia breaks me I shan’t eat. I did just have some salt though and feel better for it so I’ll remember salt when fasting in future.

I’m going swimming tomorrow thanks to a friend managing to book us a slot and on Wednesday we’re going for lunch to take advantage of the last of the 50% off thing. I’ll get my much craved pint then.

Heygirlheyboy · 23/08/2020 22:38

Lovely!

Octopus37 · 24/08/2020 07:26

Weighed 9st this morning, had an okish day yesterday, not great ate some biscuits, but had some healthy bits as well. Think it might be a glitch though.

Well done octopus! I am 9st2.25 this AM. That's back to my low in March. Off out and about today but have brought lentil/bulgar wheat salad and fruit so should be fine. Won't get my 11k steps in but it can't be helped.

Heygirlheyboy · 24/08/2020 07:55

That works out as exactly 9lbs down in 8 weeks for me.

TheHoneyBadger · 24/08/2020 09:17

Well done octopus and heygirl.

I’m 14st1.8 today despite a full fast yesterday. I suspect a good bm would make all the difference Grin

Trying to stay chilled and not stress about going back to work next week. I’ve no timetable or much clue what I’m going to be doing so I can’t even plan really so best to just put it out of mind.

Have taken the dog for a little walk and climbed back into bed with a coffee. Not sure of food plans. Doubt I’ll be hungry till this afternoon.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 24/08/2020 09:25

Baby shower went well. Tiny plates and I made an effort to stay in my chair catching up with friends, and not hover by the buffet table. I'm also about 6 stone lighter than when I last saw most guests so the compliments stopped me going back for more food.

Did weigh this morning showing a maintain for this week but (tmi) no BM before or breastfeeding so I find it tends to be higher. Will weigh tomorrow and take that as my weeks progress.

B sausage omelette
L roasted sweetcorn, butternut squash, plums
D something from "much more veg", need to use up some sad looking veg that my husband and kids didn't eat whilst I was away.

SistemaAddict · 24/08/2020 17:51

Storm over for now thankfully. Teenagers are bloody hard at times.
9st 9lb today.

Lalanbaba · 24/08/2020 18:51

Evening,
67.5 kg today that is another half kilo this week. I'm expecting to plateau any time now as this will be the 5th week in a diet.
B: ham and cheese croissant from pret with a black coffee
L: carrot soup with bread roll
D: mushroom omelette and salad
I will need a snack later as I just have 1000 calories so far

TheHoneyBadger · 24/08/2020 19:05

Just been for a swim-quick 50 laps conscious we were on the clock before getting kicked out. Going again on Wednesday. Quite pleased I managed 50 laps in the limited time. Think I may feel it later.

My lunch out has been changed to tomorrow. Looking forward to it.

Ds is demanding food the second I walk in the door. This is part of the takeaway temptation-usually it’s getting in from work knackered with ds demanding food and me being too knackered to think what to cook let alone cook. Pre ds (going back a way) I just ate when I was hungry or felt inspired to cook. As a working single mum food and meals just became a hell of a chore.

Guess I need to make more use of the slow cooker

TheHoneyBadger · 24/08/2020 19:08

Hating myself for saying, ‘as a working single mum’. Sounds like an advertising campaign for some kind of magic supplement or cleaning product
