Here's our new thread.. 9st0.75 this morning, had some pub tapas last night and a couple of pints, was truly delicious. Will be having a couple of days when I'm away, going to my Sister's for a couple of days either today or tomorrow. I'm sure nobody can guess what my aim is for this month lol

Ah @Octopus37 you're allowed to feel it when you're having a rough time. There's always someone worse off it's true but it's not a competition thankfully. Life is fucking hard sometimes and there are more important things than calories/scales/you name it. Be gentle on yourself.

TGIF.

SistemaAddict · 21/08/2020 18:12

I had yogurt, muesli, and a Fab Grin I've felt unwell all day so I'm not very hungry anyway. Good job as I haven't done any walking except around the house. I've still managed 15 floors so far so that's something I guess.

We were discussing breakfast once dc are back at school and we are planning porridge. Dds will be having homemade soup and a homemade roll for lunch so I'll probably have the same.

TheHoneyBadger · 21/08/2020 18:53

Yeah adulting is not much fun and you have a lot on your plate. Hope things look up. Hoping 45 is not harder than 44. I’m struggling enough this year!

I’ve had a bowl of veg stew with a couple of skinny sausages that my son likes. Have a hankering for something sweet and may go to the coop for some of their low cal ice cream. Wasn’t impressed with the salted caramel one but a friend has recommended the cookie dough one.

Lalanbaba · 21/08/2020 19:22

@Octopus37 @Bercows @TheHoneyBadger sorry to hear that you are having a rough time.
Be kind to yourselves FlowersFlowersFlowers
Very wet here today
B: half a banana and some blackberries (toddler leftovers)
L: falafel and salad
D : egg fried rice with lots of veggies
Breakfast left me very hungry after 2h so lots of tea was made today.
Maybe will make some popcorn later.
(what I really want is a glass of red wine but none in the house and not looking to go out)

Lalanbaba · 21/08/2020 19:23

Missed the cornflakes with milk with the breakfast. Only fruit and I would have been a black hole come lunch time

Heygirlheyboy · 21/08/2020 21:33

Egg fried rice a great idea! Octopus you know what, this is such a draining and seemingly never ending time, we're all probably suffering compassion fatigue and it's exhausting. The time to myself today was such a gift, I would recommend if you can. I walked, ran, enjoyed good food and had a peppermint tea and a chat with my Dad at the end of it all. Feel great but again, so tired! Off to bed with me and out for an early walk in the AM. Sleep well all.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 21/08/2020 21:47

Had a hell of a snaccident today and went 800 over maintenance. We did walk 6 miles but that doesn't compensate. Oh wells, shit happens. It was proper emotional eating.

SistemaAddict · 21/08/2020 23:49

I was so tempted to get a bedtime snack tonight. I almost had a fuck it moment. But I've discovered my hip bones again and that kept me away from the kitchen. So that's my face, knees and hips that are slimmer 🤣

Heygirlheyboy · 22/08/2020 07:18

Haha! My face is definitely thinner! Well done. Woke too early, must go weigh and walk.

Heygirlheyboy · 22/08/2020 08:06

Just shy of 8lbs down in just shy of 8 weeks! I'm very happy with fhág, I've had a few blips but overall upping the activity has made it seem not a big deal. I have a sports blitz with my ds later, a potential sea swim after that and other than that not too much on. Enjoy your Saturdays!

Octopus37 · 22/08/2020 09:17

Well done Bercows. Monstera love the word snaccident, may have to adopt it. Hope everyone (including those who are struggling for various reasons) is feeling a bit better today. Ended up having Dominos last night, was so tired,, excuses I know, so 9st2.75 this morning, but know that pound is Dominos weight. Happy Saturday.

Morning!

B bacon sandwich
L skipping it
D baby shower buffet so... Crudités hopefully!

Went over yesterday, by a few hundred I imagine, aiming for maintain this week.

SistemaAddict · 22/08/2020 10:07

9st 11lb this morning which isn't bad for day 2 of my period I suppose. We are stuck in awaiting Covid tests so no walks for a few days. School starts in less than 2 weeks now and then there'll be 5 miles of walking a day which will help. I'll be able to go out on my bike too! Well, if schools open in greater Manchester 😩

Lalanbaba · 22/08/2020 10:17

Morning,
Everyone is having their snack here and I have retreated with my tea till they finish. No consideration with their peanut butter and bacon. Blush
B: Greek yogurt and blueberries
L: chicken tacos, I will have a bowl with no tortillas
D: pork katsu curry

Heygirlheyboy · 22/08/2020 10:29

Bercows you're where I was 8 weeks ago!

Honeysuckle completely unsolicited advice but learned from two recent get togethers. Take a plate and fill rather than what I did which was the constant picking and going back for more! Enjoy the lovely food and make a meal of it. Obviously completely ignore me if you'd prefer Grin

SistemaAddict · 22/08/2020 10:39

I'm down from about 11 stone or at least 10st 10lb so it's all good I guess and I want things to be sustainable long term. Slow and steady is good right? And my stomach is definitely a lot flatter, my clothes are baggy, my bras are no longer tight, my face is thinner, as are my knees and I can feel my hip bones more easily.

TheHoneyBadger · 22/08/2020 10:47

Morning. Scales steady at 14st1. I didn’t go out and get ice cream.

I ate a whole tin of pineapple chunks in juice and half a tin of apricots with a whole tub of fat free yoghurt and some pumpkin and chia seeds. Likely more calories than ice cream but tmi again I haven’t had a bm in a while and am hoping all that fruit might get things moving.

Only had veggie stew and sausage otherwise so calories wise it shouldn’t have been too awful.

I would really like to lose 2lbs before the end of the month.

Heygirlheyboy · 22/08/2020 10:52

Love your snack Honeybadger.

Bercows that's fantastic. I didn't mean it in a bad way just saying where I've come from and you'll be the same, apologies if that came across badly, wasnt meant that way.

Heygirlheyboy · 22/08/2020 10:53

PS Honeybadger yes I would loovve to kick 2 more lbs to the kerb by end of month... I'm on my usual 2 week of high activity, decent loss now so could happen. I'll be happy with one tho also.

SistemaAddict · 22/08/2020 11:28

@Heygirlheyboy don't worry, I didn't take what you said in any way. I only struggle with slow and steady because at my worst I could lose a pound a day and part of me thinks I still should which of course is silly.
I think 2lbs off by the end of August is a good goal to have. That's what I'll aim for too.

I am
Still extremely tired today. Film day I think. No idea what to do for dinner. Maybe basic pasta. I made a loaf of bread yesterday and because we've all had toast this morning it's nearly all gone! Toast is a great comfort food.

Heygirlheyboy · 22/08/2020 11:34

Definitely slow and steady bercows, that's the only way for longterm change I think. I have just bought some lovely treats in our local independent store, my bean and chickpea salads and they've added a new lentil one, plus some goat's cheese and parmesan. Some nice dishes planned.

TheHoneyBadger · 22/08/2020 12:01

I want to lose 2lbs because it will bring me to 13st13 and my goal for August was to get securely under 14st. Hoping it’s still achievable. No doubt my fruit and yoghurt binge didn’t help but I’m comforting myself with the knowledge of what I might have had instead 6 months ago. At least it was real food.

No idea about today. Ds had 4 crumpets for brunch and has headed out on his bike now.

I’ve had 2 coffees.

Cupboards are pretty bare so I need to do a shop. I need a hiding place for food so ds doesn’t scoff all of the easy stuff within 2 days of delivery.

Might just have fish and lots of veg tonight and maybe soak a small portion of oats and trimmings in case I get munchy again. I think it’s the more autumnal weather making me hungry.

SistemaAddict · 22/08/2020 12:01

Please share your recipes. I have loads of red lentils to use but no idea what to do with them apart from my soup.

Heygirlheyboy · 22/08/2020 12:29

Here is my delicious lunch. I will tot up and log later but I think I got a lot of bang for my buck!
