Here's our new thread.. 9st0.75 this morning, had some pub tapas last night and a couple of pints, was truly delicious. Will be having a couple of days when I'm away, going to my Sister's for a couple of days either today or tomorrow. I'm sure nobody can guess what my aim is for this month lol

Morning. Rainy morning here, first time this week. Guess which day we're having kids over to play? Wink

B bacon and eggs
L salad with beetroot, plum and tomato.
D enchiladas, but without the wraps and cheese. So, chicken, peppers, onions, served with rice and refried beans. It's DH's favourite dinner, but he'll have it in wraps and drenched in cheese of course.

TheHoneyBadger · 19/08/2020 08:46

Morning. According to the scales I’m 5lbs more than I was 3 days ago despite fasting yesterday. Logically that’s madness but still gutting.

Ankle is definitely better than yesterday

Annoyed about weight. I’d not been making great progress this month but was fluctuating around a steadyish point. 5lb up is ridiculous.

SistemaAddict · 19/08/2020 08:55

That has to be fluid as don't forget one pound is equal to 3500 calories so you can't ha r gained fat or muscle in that time equal to 5lbs.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 19/08/2020 09:23

God that's frustrating @TheHoneyBadger

It is raining here too. We managed to go for our evening walk yesterday without getting soaked which was an improvement to Monday. I do enjoy the thundery weather but it can make it hard to enjoy a walk.

I feel like I'm doing ok, consistency wise with my calorie count. I hope. I've been baking more as it really helps my mood but I've run out of freezer space now and my neighbours and relatives are putting on weight...I love freezing brownies that I can defrost one at a time, I know the calorie count of and can fit them into my day though. Probably not great for my sugar in take but feels realistic and like I'm not on a diet at all.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 19/08/2020 09:31

I'd agree with Bercows, just fluid. Although I know it's still gutting either way.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 19/08/2020 09:33

Monstera I'm the same with rocky road. It's quick and easy, the kids can help and I know it's 117 cals a piece so can easily fit it in to my day. Just have a tupperware in the fridge ready and it's an easy snack for the whole family Smile

TheHoneyBadger · 19/08/2020 09:51

Sorry for way tmi but a few massive wees later and 2lb of it is gone Confused I checked on 2 scales.

Can only think injured ankle equals fluid retention and inflammation. I’ve literally passed urine 5 times already this morning.

Sorry I’m always on about bm and now urine too Blush

SistemaAddict · 19/08/2020 10:23

Told you! Grin in the spirit of tmi my bowels have not adjusted to eating less and I no longer go daily. I think it would be weekly if left to it. Once I go the scales shift 2lbs down Blush stupid digestive system.

TheHoneyBadger · 19/08/2020 12:08

Yeah I’m not going regularly anymore which is really weird as I had half my colon removed last year and had very much the opposite problem till recently. Blumming body!

Oh well I’m hoping I can still see 13 stone something this month.

Heygirlheyboy · 19/08/2020 19:36

Hi guys logged for the day about 120 under so 1343. It's two weeks since my lowest low this time round which was a one off weigh of 9st 3.75, 9st 4 again this AM. I had 5 days off last week which clearly has thrown me. Lack of exercise unavoidable this week but overall feeling good.

So... I have finished the Allen Carr book, it has been really worthwhile and ties in completely with how I've been feeling about sugar/comfort eating so I have kicked it now and he's right that I've been a slave to sugar and it has caused lack of energy, weight gain, dependence etc so it's gone now and I am free. I know it sounds a bit mad but I was nodding the whole way through, I know this is the only choice for me as it has been a weight to carry (on top of the actual weight) which has got me down over and over. Hopefully weight loss will go hand in hand with this decision.

Lalanbaba · 19/08/2020 20:38

Evening all,
@Heygirlheyboy hope you do well ditching the sugar.
Today feels properly autumnal around here.
B: porridge with blueberries. Tea
L: veggie lentil stew. Scone
D: braised chicken and salad. Mini chocolate chip cookies

Heygirlheyboy · 19/08/2020 21:29

Thanks Lalanbaba I'd love your lentil stew recipe!

Lalanbaba · 19/08/2020 23:10

Easy!
1 onion
3 sticks of celery
4 small carrots
1 Romano pepper
1 big tomato
150 g dry lentils
4 garlic cloves
2 handfuls of spinach
Smoked paprika
Bay leaf
Diced all the veggies and grate the tomato
In a little bit of olive oil soften all veggies except the spinach. Add dry lentils, paprika and bay leaf. Cover with water and season.
Bring to boil and simmer for 20 min until lentils get soft.
When the lentils are ready add spinach and take off heat. Should be enough to wilt them.
If you want to make it fancy/picky waters. Put everything raw in a pot (except garlic paprika, oil and spinach) cover it with water and cook it till lentils are soft. Remove all the veggies and blitz them with a little bit of the broth. Put it back in the pot with the lentils and season add chopped spinach and off heat. In a separate small pan heat a little bit of oil add garlic sliced thinly till golden color. You can keep the garlic or discard it if you are serving to picky eaters. In the hot garlicky oil add paprika and off heat. Serve the stew with the oil drizzled on top.

Managing to stick to 16:8 but not being very motivated apart from that. Ugh

TheHoneyBadger · 20/08/2020 07:55

Spam reported already.

Staying off the scales till I’ve had at least one more wee after yesterday.

Ankle much better. Good luck to anyone with children getting results today

Octopus37 · 20/08/2020 08:17

Glad your ankle's better HoneyBadger. Nothing to report here, stsill 9st1.75, too much going on. Hope its sunny today. Lalabana that stew sounds amazing, may give it a go

Thanks octopus it’s a lot better.

Apparently I’m 14st1.4 again but who knows what tomorrow will bring.

The trend line is pretty much levelled off with my weight just bouncing above and below it. Need to push through to a new low really.

Great maintenance octopus

HoneysuckIejasmine · 20/08/2020 10:31

Glad your ankle is feeling better Badger.

Didn't weigh this morning but 13,13.5 yesterday so hooray for new stone bracket.

B bacon and eggs
L roasted beetroot and cous cous
D roast butternut squash, plum and sweetcorn with sausages

Heygirlheyboy · 20/08/2020 11:07

Glad it's better Honeybadger!
Brilliant Honeysuckle! That's a massive boost! I am down to my most recent low again, 9st 3.75. I would love to hit 9 by mid-end Sept. I will be delighted to hit my March low or 9st 2.75 and it's within touching distance now. I'm headachey this week which is painful, but it's the weather and probably lack of exercise doesn't help. Calling to a friend later which is a boost, assuming well behaved dc!

HoneysuckIejasmine · 20/08/2020 11:56

My lunch was absolutely delicious so have to share. It was....
Beetroot, plums be tomatoes roasted in garlic, rosemary and thyme. (Did it a few days ago). Mixed with cous cous (plain, no stock) and flaked smoked mackerel. The textures, the sweetness of plums with the earthy beetroot and oily mackerel... Delicious!

HoneysuckIejasmine · 20/08/2020 12:00

*plums and tomato

Heygirlheyboy · 20/08/2020 12:07

Yum! I actually was going to comment on your menu today earlier, all looks lovely.

TheHoneyBadger · 20/08/2020 12:07

You beat me into the 13 stone zone honey lol

Lunch sounds interesting. Not a tomato fan so would probably replace them with olives then yum

SistemaAddict · 20/08/2020 12:18

I seem to have plateaued. I need to do more exercise to boost things but then AF is impending so maybe it's bloat weight. As I e got older PMT seems to last for about 10 days 😩
