Here's our new thread.. 9st0.75 this morning, had some pub tapas last night and a couple of pints, was truly delicious. Will be having a couple of days when I'm away, going to my Sister's for a couple of days either today or tomorrow. I'm sure nobody can guess what my aim is for this month lol

Please come sort my house when you’re done drM. You will have used tons of energy doing all that especially in the heat.

Had jacket potato with mackerel and cheddar and was actually satisfied. Lazy day because of heat and hormones but long fasting window and no snacks.

Hopefully the scales don’t swing up randomly tomorrow

MonsteraCheeseplant · 10/08/2020 07:11

Wow @DrMadelineMaxwell that's amazing!

Octopus37 · 10/08/2020 08:49

Welcome to the newbies, haven't been around that much this week so have been loosing track a bit. Honeybadger you are doing really well. Dr Madelaine, I'm really impressed by all our DIY. Knackered this morning, like nearly everyone else I suspect, I didn't sleep massively well due to the heat. Aiming for a goodish week this week. Went to the Harvesters last night, didn't overdo it though so quite pleased. Weighed 9st1.75 this morning.

Weighed in 4.25lbs down on last week, but the first 2lbs of that were bloat IMO. Still, I'm very pleased and I'm also really happy with Nutracheck, it's so smooth and easy compared to MFP.

B smoked salmon omelette
L salad and soup
D beef and lentil stew, green beans

roundtwotooto · 10/08/2020 09:18

Morning all!
I’ve joined Team RH this morning because I just need something to kickstart me and make me feel a little bit accountable. I’m annoyed with myself because I proved at the beginning of lockdown that I can do it on my own but I’m going to see how I get on.

I’ve lost 2lbs this morning.

Would love to hear how much you’ve all lost since you started this :)

roundtwotooto · 10/08/2020 09:19

@HoneysuckIejasmine I’m with you on Nutracheck! It’s brilliant. I’ve had to go back to MFP because it links with the Team RH app but I hate it Hmm

TheHoneyBadger · 10/08/2020 09:20

Morning. Scales steady despite ending up insomnia snacking. Managed to limit it to a small portion of nuts and some yoghurt and honey but hate that I’m slipping back into that habit.

Had phone consult with dr just now just to do a meds’ review and to remind me I need a thyroid blood test to check my levels. Was impressed I’ve managed to lose weight in lockdown and has been doing the same himself.

We’re all doing great really tackling this at this time. Keep up the good work everyone x

HoneysuckIejasmine · 10/08/2020 09:30

roundtwo in total, from when I was at my highest weight and first started this dieting lark, 5 stone 5lbs. I did get down to 7 stone lost which is frustrating, but I'll get there again.

Lalanbaba · 10/08/2020 10:44

Morning everyone,
68.5 kg this morning which is 1.5 kg down in two weeks. Very pleased.
Today is going to still be very hot so light food as well
B: 2 soft boiled eggs on toast. Tea
L: big salad with apple, cheese and avocado
D: grilled prawns, basmati rice and something green (broccoli probably)
S: watermelon (I chopped a whole one yesterday and have a big container in the fridge) maybe a bit of ice-cream later on

Does anyone know a recipe for chicken wings that doesn't have like a million of calories? I really need to defrost my freezer so eating my way through it.

SistemaAddict · 10/08/2020 11:40

Hello, thank you for the welcome Smile
I started off at about 11 stone but didn't have scales then so I'm not sure exactly. After 3 weeks of doing 18:6 and 1250 calories a day I bought scales and was 10st 5lb. That was a month ago. I'm now 9st 10.5lb. 5'3", 44 years old and Peri-menopausal. I had an eating disorder for about 20 years so I find it difficult to weigh myself. I do it in kg and then convert because the kg don't really mean much to me and help ease my anxiety. My BMI is now 24.4 and I'm losing weight steadily. My goal is 9st 4lb.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 10/08/2020 12:16

Wow that's great progress @Bercows. Congratulations for being in recovery from your eating disorder.

@Lalanbaba your dinner sounds great, I love prawns. And well done for your amazing loss!

What is Team RH?? I wish I could move over to Nutracheck but I would hate to lose all my progress history that is on MFP. It's such a bind.

Saraban · 10/08/2020 12:40

Weigh in day! I’m down to 10st 10lbs, so a total loss of 7lb from when I started 2.5 weeks ago. I can’t wrap my head around the fact that I’ve lost half a stone! I don’t feel I look any different (where has it gone?) but the impact on my confidence has been huge, and I feel so good about the fact that I’m only barely ‘overweight’ per BMI now. I’m confident that by this time next week, I will be firmly in the ‘healthy’ range. Eating more healthily is really all about taking better care of myself and I feel great that for the first time in my life, I’m framing this diet not in terms of restriction or punishment, but in having more self-compassion and care for my body.

KatherineParr4 · 10/08/2020 12:55

Wow! Great success stories. I have fallen off the wagon in the past week. Feel bloated and horrible. Back to it today.

alwaysinpjs · 10/08/2020 13:08

Well done on all of the weight loss and exercise!
I've completed D8 30DS and weighed in at 9st 5.6lb - 25.4lb lost.
I don't ever remember being this weight even as a teenager so I'm buzzing! Starting to think about maintenance rather than losing now. I'm enjoying the exercise which is positive because I still need to tone.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 10/08/2020 14:35

I want to eat because i'm bored. I'm not in the least bit hungry, in fact i'm full from lunch. I have work that I am doing on and off. I'm drinking water. I've had a mini Reese's piece. What else can I do? Why does boredom = eating for me? The association doesn't seem to be budging either, i've been trying to train it out of my system since March at least.

SistemaAddict · 10/08/2020 15:09

I have learnt to say no to myself very firmly by drawing on my old anorexic mentality if I made the rules and god help me if I break them without very good reason. So my rule is no eating after 6pm. We eat around 5 so are done by 6 at the latest. I used to snack when reading in bed or on the sofa watching tv. That is no longer permitted so I've not done it bar once due to pmt. I still get hungry in the evenings. Proper grumbling, growling stomach hungry but I say no and ignore it and it goes away. Then I'm just normal hungry for breakfast. I could give in and eat something but then I'd hate myself so I don't. Harsh perhaps but it's the only way I can do it. I'm an all or nothing person.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 10/08/2020 15:12

It sounds like you have iron will @Bercows!

TheHoneyBadger · 10/08/2020 15:34

Don’t know. It’s insomnia for me. I need to train myself out of it but it becomes an obsessive thought that I want to eat something which then feeds into the insomnia and so on until I give in and get up and have something to eat.

I’m going to try and start cleaning up my sleep routines. What I need to do is fairly straightforward but I don’t want to. I love my time in bed watching stuff on my phone or playing games even though I know it must effect my sleep which then in turn effects my diet.

TheHoneyBadger · 10/08/2020 15:39

Be careful Bercows. I’m sure you know that and don’t want to hear it. Quite a lot to lose in a short time and very strict rules you’ve given yourself and are sticking too.

Do you have an exit plan from calorie deficit?

SistemaAddict · 10/08/2020 18:00

Not a bloody clue! Under normal circumstances I walk 5 miles a day up and down big hills and burn a lot of energy so I'm hoping that will even out the extra calories and help me midbrain my goal weight. I will probably get to 9st to allow for weight gain when out of the deficit. I will keep to my rule of not eating after 6pm though unless movie night or whatever.

TheHoneyBadger · 10/08/2020 18:56

I’d say set a limit like I will not go below 9st for example. A clear limit might prevent slippery slope stuff.

Huffing up and down hills sounds a good maintenance plan Grin

I’m melting today. Not very active but the jobs I’ve done have felt like a 2 hour session of hot yoga

MonsteraCheeseplant · 10/08/2020 21:24

What @TheHoneyBadger said, it seems that you respond very well to lines in the sand! Set healthy ones to be safe. I know how tempting it can be to keep going beyond your original goal.

Octopus37 · 11/08/2020 08:33

As the others have said Bercows, make sure you take care of yourself. Weighed in at 9st1.5 today. Counted calories yesterday for the first time in ages, which came in at 1660. Think that may have given me a bit of a kick start again.

SistemaAddict · 11/08/2020 08:47

Thank you, I'll be fine. I gave up my ED when I had the children. The thought patterns remain but they don't control me any more. I have my moments but I'm ok. I think 9st gives me a bmi of 23 so that's still plenty for my short arse height. I'll see how I go. The school run used to have me very hungry. That hill is a bitch on the way back home! I'd eat breakfast at 7 then be ravenous by 9.30/10 when I got back. Not that I'm anticipating the dc being at school very often with things as they are 🙄

TheHoneyBadger · 11/08/2020 09:51

Allegedly down again. 14st1.4. Another new low that I hope will stick.

However I’m off out to do my bit for the economy today going out for lunch with my bubble friend and will no doubt have the beer that I’m not allowed at home anymore with delight.

No sign of overdue af and the fact that I’m at this part of the cycle makes me a little less sceptical of the scales recent downward trend. Also feeling pretty confident about this months goal of getting securely under 14st.

Will try to order vaguely healthy food at lunch
