Here's our new thread.. 9st0.75 this morning, had some pub tapas last night and a couple of pints, was truly delicious. Will be having a couple of days when I'm away, going to my Sister's for a couple of days either today or tomorrow. I'm sure nobody can guess what my aim is for this month lol

I'm out for dinner tonight, prob to a local Italian, so have been super careful today.

Didn't eat until 12pm, then had a plate of salad, some feta cheese and 3 oatcakes with a little hummus.

Just had a homemade berry smoothie.

Really want to see 11.8 something on Monday, currently 11.9.6.

IJumpedAboardAPirateShip · 08/08/2020 15:17

Loving all the walks - we live abroad and I miss this time of year in the U.K. so much especially as I’m usually there but thanks so covid I’m not

Last WI before we head out camping for a week, am 141.5lbs down from 146lbs last weekend but pretty sure most of that is water rentention. My main aim to get back into my favourite pair of shorts and not to feel like all my clothes are tight again. Have been doing daily lunges, squats and press ups and crunches so will at least make sure I do those this week

zebrarobot · 08/08/2020 15:44

Its such lovely weather today! I've had all the new school uniform washed and out drying (i wash new stuff and dry on the hangers as i dont like to iron haha) ... back to school on Thurs here. Not sure how we are feeling about it.

Does anyone else feel more motivated for weight loss/fitness when the suns out? I managed fine until 3pm today despite struggling a little yesterday. Tomorrow is one week of IF and 1200 cals. Not sure what to expect on the scales but fingers crossed 🤞🏻

HoneysuckIejasmine · 08/08/2020 18:46

I find it easier in the summer as it's more attractive to eat salads in the warm.

Spent most of the afternoon chilling on neighbours patio, heading out for a walk later when it cools off.

Off to Forest of Dean tomorrow so I need to decide what to pack of picnic.

TheHoneyBadger · 08/08/2020 19:59

As I’ve said before on these threads it’s just so much easier to get out for walks when the weather is nice.

Fasted till late lunch/dinner in my mums garden. Some kind of baked in juice chicken with roast potatoes and veg and a small slice of warm lemon meringue pie plus one beer and several small glasses of wine

Walked there and back with the benefit of it being so hot that most of the walking time was in cardio rather than the usual fat burn zone for that walk.

Finally got to see my niece and nephews which was lovely and the dog has worn himself out running and yapping at anyone who walked along the public footpath at the end of their land.

Hopefully we will sleep well tonight if it’s not too hot 🥵

TheHoneyBadger · 08/08/2020 21:22

Last waffle of the night. When I have the shock of catching myself in a mirror naked these days I see all the fat but feel quietly confident that it’s less than it was and it’s only going to get better.

Measured my waist today and it’s more than 2” down from when I last measured in June. Comments I’ve had have been about my face looking slimmer which is nice. Best feature of my face is probably high cheek bones and prominent eyes both of which get lost under puffiness. In some ways I dislike the change to my face as much if not more than my body. You only wear swim wear occasionally but your face is always on show.

Long waffle but remember to take measures and markers other than just the scales.

MonsteraCheeseplant · 08/08/2020 21:27

I walked 20 miles today. It was a great day. I ate about 2000 calories but think that's fine given my activity levels.

HoneysuckIejasmine · 08/08/2020 22:23

20 miles! Shock goodness me! Do you take lunch with you? How long does that take?

MonsteraCheeseplant · 09/08/2020 06:39

Yeah we took sandwiches and water, walking in suburban areas so ice cream and water refills along the way. It took 5 and 3/4 hours in total. My legs hurt now unsurprisingly.

keiratwiceknightly · 09/08/2020 09:56

Delicious meal last night - worth all the cals! Ended up waking about 4 miles after 11pm as walked to pick my dd up from where she had been babysitting for friends and then we walked home together. Net result : no weight gain this morning Smile.

I think Honeybadger has the right idea to focus on stuff as well as the scales. 2" off waist and reappearing cheekbones is great! I'm aware that the regular HIIT workouts and yoga I've been doing has really sculpted my arms and legs, and that I can hold poses I couldn't a few weeks ago.

Heygirlheyboy · 09/08/2020 09:58

Sounds lovely monster. I had a 99 yesterday and some biscuits but I'm delighted to feel it was no big deal. I hit my target of 11k average daily steps over last weeks plus 2k cal burn. Have to up the water. Period has arrived so will wait until Weds to weigh again. We have stay at home 'holidays' this week so we'll be eating out etc but will just keep an eye on good choices and watch other meals, what can you do. Off to the sea later. Sleep definitely being aided by the sea air.

Heygirlheyboy · 09/08/2020 10:01

You're right Honeybadger and Keira my face definitely has changed plus stomach - I had a flat stomach until two years ago so it's a fright to see rolls and I'm glad that's changing slowly.

SistemaAddict · 09/08/2020 10:19

Hello, please could I join you? This looks like a thread that gets traffic and I won't t be talking to myself!

MonsteraCheeseplant · 09/08/2020 10:44

You're very welcome @Bercows

I'm having a meal in an actual restaurant today, for the first time in 5 months! It's pretty exciting.

TheHoneyBadger · 09/08/2020 11:05

Enjoy monster.

Ok scales are down again today and for some reason I don’t trust it. Both yesterday and today I weighed twice to check and took the slightly heavier one as real.

Today I’m 14st2.4 which is a new low. It surprises me because whilst I have been more active I’ve also been eating more and having alcohol however tmi but I’ve been having bm every day so maybe it’s that.

Goal for this month was to consolidate July’s good loss (with my fluctuations I don’t take seeing a low as really owning that low itms) and then getting securely under 14st.

Not sure of the plan today. Could do with a good long fasting window after recent excesses. Don’t like to bank on anything but at the minute at least mixing things up seems to be working for me

Heygirlheyboy · 09/08/2020 11:08

Brilliant Honeybadger!

roundtwotooto · 09/08/2020 11:51

Morning all!

Had a good day yesterday - did a four mile walk with the kids then went and climbed a hill (418m so not a biggie) in the evening. Then ... I ate 1400 calories worth of McDonald’s Blush

We were starving after the hill and ordered so much.

Lalanbaba · 09/08/2020 12:27

Hey amazing job @TheHoneyBadger!
Yesterday started great and end up with some cookies 😂
The cookies were great though.
Was so nice outside we end up having more barbecue when the little one went to bed.
Today plan is simple as can't be bothered to cook a lot so no toast.
B: fat free Greek yoghurt and banana. Tea
L: pork loin with honey mustard, salad and roasted red peppers
D: jacket potato with beans and a sprinkle of cheese

Lalanbaba · 09/08/2020 12:28

*no roast that should read

TheHoneyBadger · 09/08/2020 13:36

I did think that even with my kitchen aversion toast isn’t too much of a chore Grin

MonsteraCheeseplant · 09/08/2020 16:18

Well done @TheHoneyBadger

TheHoneyBadger · 09/08/2020 17:27

Thanks but not sure what for Grin still convinced my scales are just playing up.

Think I’m just going to bake some potatoes. I’ll have one with mackerel or cottage cheese and will let the other go cold ready to make tortilla for ds when he shows up knackered from playing out in a hoody in this temperature.

Too hot to do much today. Off to stick my luminously white legs in the sun and finish my book Wine

zebrarobot · 09/08/2020 17:55

Hey all. This morning i weighed in at 14st 5 which is a loss of 4lbs on the fasting/1200 calorie thing. Really chuffed with this and its spurred me on to keep going! First goal is to get back into 13st something then from there my goal is back to where I was in Dec last year 13st 4lbs.

Its roasting here today but we had meal planned for lentil curry which I did end up making and it was lovely. Lunch was a couple of bagel thins with some cheese spread and some fruit and hazelnuts on the side.

Not sure what snacks will be tonight.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 09/08/2020 22:04

No idea what tomorrow's WI will bring. I've tried to stay off the scales this week.
Food has been a disaster - I have eaten as and when I can around all my decorating. Today I've had a bowl of cereal and milk for breakfast, a tuna and mayo sandwich with a handful of sweet chilli crisps for lunch and for dinner I've had.... grapes and a few more crisps. And a couple of glasses of bucks fizz.

I haven't really stopped the last few days, though. No official exercise but I've stripped wallpaper, painted 2 ceilings 3 times and sanded then glossed all the skirting boards, picture rails and door frames.

Tomorrow I'm going to touch up the gloss. Touch up one area of ceiling that still looks patchy. And sand and undercoat the firesurround. AND put a layer of lining paper up.

And go round cleaning wherever I've made a mess today!

HoneysuckIejasmine · 09/08/2020 23:22

Hi Bercows, welcome.

Today been a busy day visiting the Forest.

B bacon sandwich
L salad and fruit
D fajitas and strawberry pavlova
S rocky road

Input tomorrow's food already - I like to have it planned so I feel more in control.
