I've done ok today - started the 16:8, so had Nature Valley bar at 10am, lunch of Slimfast shake and snack of Walkers Baked. However dinner was homemade burger and chips so not great. But I do want this to be a realistic plan and I love comfort food, so I'm not planning to deny myself completely, otherwise I won't succeed.

@morningtoncrescent62 I'm planning to weigh once a week on a Sunday. I've never weighed every day as it's too much pressure and I lose hope!

I know what you mean about opening a packet. My DH has started decanting a larger bag into a small bowl. Just eating the bowl contents and putting the bag back in the cupboard. I'm sticking to bags on Walkers Baked.

Hope everyone had a good day today😊 I'm in a week workplace hustle on Fitbit so that's focusing my mind on the steps, done 21,000 today which is the most I've done during the lockdown period. Eaten just under 1500cals today and according to Fitbit burnt 1300 cals so chilling for the rest of the day. Good luck to everyone for the rest of the day! We can do it!!

Grimauldface · 27/07/2020 20:16

well done to all those that have lost weight and/or had a good day today.

I was about to talk myself out of a post-dinner walk as I'm almost at 10,000 steps, did a 30 min walk at lunchtime and it's raining still but then I read @monkeytennis97's post - 21,000 steps Shock that's amazing. I am totally getting my trainers on and going out now!

@pourmeanotherglass I have a Fitbit charge 2 which tracks cycling but it uses the GPS on my phone, doesn't have it built in. I think newer/other models have built in GPS. I also have an android phone.

@MintyCedric I'm sorry you had such a stressful day. I hope your mum is okay and that you find somewhere suitable for your dad.

monkeytennis97 · 27/07/2020 20:22

@Grimauldface good for you!😊

LimeJ · 27/07/2020 20:33

@monkeytennis97 21,000 steps. Amazing. ⭐️

@LimeJ thank you 😊 It's the blooming competitive streak in me when someone asked if I wanted to do the work hustle thing on Fitbit... will aim for 15,000 tomorrow (legs are aching!).

LimeJ · 27/07/2020 20:49

@monkeytennis97 I've done 15,364 steps and my legs are definitely feeling it.

@LimeJ that's brilliant!! Before I started this again (the walking) I was doing about 3,000 a day. When I did 7,000 the first time that felt great. How people do 50 or 100,000 in a day (other than tying the Fitbit to a dog collar) ?!

Grimauldface · 27/07/2020 21:34

@LimeJ that's great, well done!

I added another 3,500 steps to my count with that extra walk so happy with a count of 13,377 for today. Plus 91 active minutes which I'm really happy about as I think getting more active generally, given my sedentary job, is going to really help towards shifting the fat.

Grimauldface · 27/07/2020 21:36

50 to 100,000 Shock who manages that?!

morningtoncrescent62 · 27/07/2020 21:43

In awe of the amount of walking going on in this group. We've probably walked about six marathons between us today! I don't measure steps myself, that's another thing I've learnt it's best not to let my addictive personality get hold of, but I do try to walk for at least an hour each day.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 27/07/2020 22:31

To add my step count... 15,201. My evening walk was only 30 mins today between downpours. The rest comes from dancing to the radio and walking around while watching TV on my phone or reading today.

monkeytennis97 · 28/07/2020 02:15

@Aroundtheworldin80moves brilliant!!!

Grimmauldface · 28/07/2020 08:00

Beautiful morning here. C25k week 1 run 2 - done Grin

LimeJ · 28/07/2020 08:02

Well done @Grimmauldface, it is a beautiful day here too. Much better than yesterday's rain.

Here's to a good day for us all.

Morning all! Just weighed myself and now another 1lb down to 14 stone dead on (started at 17 stone 9lbs). Coffee, yogurt and fruit for breakfast then a long walk with DH I think 😊 Have a great day everyone!

Twilbury · 28/07/2020 08:37

Morning!

I had a good day yesterday and my plan today is to have another one .
Will go out soon and do my jog/plod couch to 5k as well @Grimmauldface

OU work needs to be caught up on today, and I am going to take advantage of my teen being away this week to sort his tip of a room out.
Have a good day all !

RosieposiePuddingandPi · 28/07/2020 09:36

Morning 😊
I can't get over how many steps people are able to do in a day, it's kicking me up the butt to walk more!
That's a fab loss @monkeytennis97!!

I managed week 2, day 2 of c25k yesterday and it felt surprisingly easy so I'm pleased with that.
I also stuck to my calories for the day and have had a good weight loss this morning so just need to stick to it today.

I'm deep cleaning the kitchen this morning and popping to the shops later before heading out for a run. Have a great day all!

MintyCedric · 28/07/2020 09:42

Better start to the day so far. Just did my first practice walk for my charity challenge in August and did just over a mile 22 minutes without collapsing.

I need to walk two miles a day and it feels manageable now both in terms of times and fitness which I'm really relieved about.

morningtoncrescent62 · 28/07/2020 12:24

Well done monkeytennis, sounds like you're going strong. Next stop, into the 13s. How long has that taken you?

MintyCedric what's your charity challenge? You might have talked about it before but I missed it, sorry. I love hearing about the walking and C25K stuff people are doing, it's motivating me to get out there, which I'm now about to do. The sun is (nearly) shining) and I'm going for a walk.

monkeytennis97 · 28/07/2020 12:57

@morningtoncrescent62 thank you 😊 I started on March 16th. Using Nutracheck app to help count calories.

Just come back from a 7 mile walk with DH. Shattered! Can't believe I walked for 7 miles (16,000 steps) up and down hill. A few months ago I couldn't have done 1 mile.

And... time for lunch!👍😋

monkeytennis97 · 28/07/2020 12:58

@RosieposiePuddingandPi thank you 😊 Good luck everyone today!

LimeJ · 28/07/2020 13:07

@monkeytennis97 you are doing so well. Well done.

@morningtoncrescent62

It's walking 62 miles (100km) during August to raise awareness/funds for Refuge.

I've not made it public that I'm doing it yet as wasn't sure I'd be able to manage 2 miles a day but feel much more confident after this morning.

JamRolyPolyAnyone · 28/07/2020 13:14

Well Done to everyone who are staying on track and are upping their exercise.

I didn’t have a very good day yesterday exercise wise. I tried the c25k first work out. It nearly killed me! I’m no runner but trying to jog in the rain with a coat on wasn’t the best idea. I only managed 6,000 steps yesterday (and couldn’t move off the sofa after my “jog”).

I had porridge this morning and done a 6,000 step walk with the dog. I’m just going to have veg soup for lunch and do another walk before dinner.
