Totally with the draw a line under it and move on.... that really is one of the hardest things to do for me, so I’m sending you “you got this vibes”fitbee I’m deffo finding the hard way that preparation is a big part of the game in the beginning isn’t it. No processed food again today and water and herbal tea again today so that’s good. My brain is doing A version of “are we there yet” with regards to eating habits, I know I have to just crack on with not eating junk till it’s out of my system. I feel more energetic which is good. sansa a loss on holiday is awesome, especially since it sounds like you had a great time!

Captainladder · 19/08/2020 14:58

Hopping on to post because I slept really badly, I’m soooo tired and I want to eat ALL THE SNACKS!!!! I’m going to go and hve a cup of tea instead.... I can’t actually be hungry because I only had lunch about 2 hours ago!

FatCatThinCat · 19/08/2020 15:19

Captainladder It's not hunger, it's tiredness, but the survival part of your brain gets the message that you're going to starve if you don't find a food source to meet you energy needs.

Captainladder · 19/08/2020 15:35

Absolutely. Well, the survival part of my brain can go do one because I’m not eating all the snacks today! ❤️

Weigh in day for me. 1lb off this week which considering I had a big Dominoes during the week I’m really happy with!

Total weight loss - 5lb

FatCatThinCat · 21/08/2020 08:43

Well done fitbee

Blackbear19 · 21/08/2020 09:36

Well done Fitbee. Another 1lbs is great.

I'm getting to the stage I normally fall off the wagon but taking the comment someone made about learning from where you failed in the past.

However new scales are definitely keeping the motivation going, good to see the fractions of pounds drop. I feel less bloated but still got along way to go.

morningtoncrescent62 · 21/08/2020 15:28

Hello again, everyone! I'm back from my holidays. Well done to everyone who's kept the momentum up and has losses, no matter how small, to report. And well done anyone who's clambering back on the wagon after a fall.

I'm going to resist the temptation to get on the scales to find out the damage done in the last two weeks. I was always going to put on weight, but I'll also have a lot of water retention because of all the carby snacks so I won't depress myself. I'll stick with the plan to weigh at the end of the month, which gives me 10 days to get rid of the holiday gains. My August target takes account of my holiday - my aim is to be the same weight at the end of August as the end of July. I don't think I went too mad while I was away, so hopefully I'm on course for that.

I'm thinking about getting new scales. Mine are from the 1980s and maybe I'd find more accurate ones motivating. Could you post a link to yours, @Blackbear19?

Blackbear19 · 21/08/2020 15:46

Hope you had a good time on holiday.

My new scales are the Withing Body+, the price is fluctuating between £90 and £60 I've just checked what I paid for mine £60.30 from Amazon.

The app is synced with MFP and then to Samsung.

Chocarocker · 22/08/2020 13:48

So I started Slimming world last Saturday and had my first weigh in today and have lost 5lb so very happy with that. Although I do go to Slimming World I don’t actually follow the plan as such (I calorie count using MFP) but use the weigh in for accountability as someone else weighing me makes me stick to it.

fibeee · 22/08/2020 14:22

Congrats @Chocarocker that’s a great result!

MushMonster · 22/08/2020 20:38

Congratulations on the losts! It is always grest to see the numbers going down.
I am weighting tomorrow. Quite sure that I did not loose anything, for some reason I do not feel any thinner this week. Though my husband says he can tell I lost weight.
I had two extra snacks this week, not huge in calories. Otherwise stuck to the diet plan. Also I have been more active as been in the gym, cycling, and tennis this week. But I have not walked as much due to the random weather. I think I am indeed missing the walks. I hope I can do some next week.

MushMonster · 22/08/2020 20:39

Grest= great!

Motiv8meplease · 23/08/2020 09:13

My weigh in 😿 I knew the scales would reflect badly on the past couple of days bread fest and wine drinking whilst camping in gale force winds!
I’m now 12.1, which means I’ve gained a 1lb.

@MushMonster - agreed the weather doesn’t help, I didn’t get the long hikes in over camping as planned.

I’d weighed myself on Tuesday and I was down to 11st 11lb 🙄😭 and got so excited about seeing 11 something on the scales.

Hey ho - need to pull myself together and get back on it

Motiv8meplease · 23/08/2020 09:19

@morningtoncrescent62 - I think a good set of digital scales certainly helps.

I’ve bought a Fitbit to monitor my steps and activity and aria scales that are linked to my Fitbit. I usually weigh myself every other day - the Fitbit gives me my weeks avg weight for the week and my weight on the day - it certainly helps motivate me seeing the line in the graph going down.

Previously I’ve joined Sliming World just for the weekly weigh in but I love seeing all the stats on Fitbit>

MushMonster · 23/08/2020 09:33

I weighted today at just under the 90, 89.9 kg. Minus 0.9 kg which is 1.98 lb. So I am rather happy! At least I made it under the 90s. Now I have another 10 kg to go! And I know they will go slower than the first stone, but I am much bought into the healthy eating and activity. I actually miss the walks, enjoying the gym now that is open. My target is no snacks or treats till I loose the first two stones. Then another two stones at a slower rate, with some allowances added. I deviated a bit from the plan, but back in now.
I was worried of getting a gain actually.
@Motiv8meplease I have lost only because I am rather heavy, so we loose weight faster. I know when I get down to your weight it will be slower. But we are all in the right path, healthier live.
Good luck to all the Sunday weightings. And well done on carrying on!

FatCatThinCat · 23/08/2020 09:36

I've lost 1.2 kg again this week. Now weighing 131.6 kg, from a 140 kg starting weight. I'm well chuffed.

I asked DH if he could see the loss yet and he said no. At first I felt sad but then realised this was a good thing as he also couldn't see the weight gain, and that's why he still thinks I'm gorgeous despite putting on loads since I met him.

MushMonster · 23/08/2020 10:09

Well done FatCatThinCat! You are doing great!

YeetYeet · 23/08/2020 10:15

Well done Mush and FatCat great results

I'm weighing tomorrow, not looking forward to it as we had a bit of a blow out on Thursday (gcse results - stressful!) and I haven't got back on track properly. Yet. I had gained 3 lbs on Friday morning and haven't weighed since so we'll see 😬

I am also a bit stressed out to be working again having taken voluntary redundancy during lockdown. Finding it very difficult to motivate myself and panicking a bit! I did get some decent steps in yesterday which made me feel better so will try to do that again today. Now just need to get off my frickin phone and get on with some work!

SansaClegane · 23/08/2020 11:51

Sunday weigh-in!

Start weight (29/6): 14st 7lbs Blush
Last weigh-in pre holidays (2/8): 13st 6.2lbs
Today (23/8): 13st 2lbs

So that's a loss of 4.2 lbs over 3 weeks, which I'm surprised and very happy about, given that I was away for 2 weeks stuffing my face with cake and ice-creams!
I'm almost halfway to my intermediate goal of 3st down. I'm hoping by the end of next week I'm on the halfway mark, so 1 1/2 st down in total!
It still feels like a long slog ahead though. My intermediate goal will put me in healthy BMI territory (just), but really I want to get down to 10st eventually.

Great work FatCat and Mush! And keep going everyone... summer hols are always a tricky time.

WobbleWhenIRun · 23/08/2020 13:23

Felt like a slow week this week but am 3.3lbs since last Sunday, so clearly the process is working. Very happy with progress - I just am feeling so much better and have noticed other improvements, such as a lower resting heart rate.

Well done everyone who's stuck with it. Results, or not, the effort is the most importnant bit Smile

morningtoncrescent62 · 23/08/2020 13:33

Some great losses posted, well done @WobbleWhenIRun, @SansaClegane, @MushMonster, @FatCatThinCat, @Chocarocker and anyone else I've overlooked!

I looked up your scales, @Blackbear19, thank you for posting them. I should have realised it's all very technical and complicated! I'm sure if I really tried I could get my head round the tech, but I do wonder whether it might be counter-productive for me, with my history of getting obsessed with weight and diets.

I'm not weighing in until next Monday, end of the month, but meantime I spent a very motivating afternoon yesterday getting my size 16 clothes out of the crate where they've been packed away. A lifetime of yo-yo dieting means I have clothes in every size from 10 to 24!! I've been wearing size 20/22 trousers and 22/24 up top for the last few years but they're now getting ridiculously baggy on me. I have some nice clothes in a 16, most of which now fit, though some of the tops are still a bit on the tight side. I'm very happy with what feels like my new wardrobe.

notevenamum1 · 24/08/2020 09:02

Wow that’s some seriously impressive losses! Especially @SansaClegane as you were on holiday!!

It’s a maintain for me on today’s weigh in. I wasn’t strict on my fasting window mid week and I over indulged at the weekend. This week is back to basics and strict counting.

I am 5lbs away from losing my first stone so really focussing I’m getting there.

notevenamum1 · 24/08/2020 09:31

TMI but after sorting out my constipation issue, I am now 1lbs down Grin
