Great result @FatCatThinCat and everyone seeing those numbers go down 💪

Anyone not getting what they hoped for - 2 weeks ago I put on 0.5, last week lost 5.2 so just keep going

Good luck to our other Sunday weighers. I'm hoping for 2lbs this week, will see tomorrow 🤞

MushMonster · 16/08/2020 12:14

Just weighted now. 90.8 kg, minus 1.8 kg which is 3.9 pounds!
Almost below 90. I hope next week I do get in the 80s.
And hopefully this week will be back in the gym to get a bit of toning.

YeetYeet · 16/08/2020 16:02

Great result Mush

Hello all you amazing weight loss champions! I’ve been having a read through the thread and please may I join in? I weighed myself a week ago and was 218 ish lbs. I don’t want to go on scales though as I get completely obsessed with numbers and can’t think of anything else. I’m
Spending this evening working on a plan for how I was to proceed - something along the lines Of increase water, 16:8, no processed food or booze and move more! I might get the tape measure out and measure my waist and use that as my loss guide along with pics. I have to lose weight as it’s making my hips painful (I have labral tears). I’m going to make it my goal to do my hip exercises too every day like I should be!!!

YeetYeet · 16/08/2020 21:03

Hey @Captainladder 👋

218 is the weight I started at Smile

Captainladder · 16/08/2020 23:16

Right have managed to read the whole thread and am so impressed with everyone and love the support and variety of methods here! ❤️

Blackbear19 · 17/08/2020 08:15

Apparently I'm down a pound this week. I'm happy enough at that given we were away for a few days and eaten out.

Need to get some serious effort into it and looking at exercise as well as diet.

MushMonster · 17/08/2020 08:43

218 is around my starting weight too! I could feel it in my knees mainly, but my hips did complain sometimes.
So far I am minus 15 pounds and already feel much better. I need to lose some more for my knees.
Good luck with your journey @Captainladder
You will soon see how rewarding it is

MushMonster · 17/08/2020 08:44

@YeetYeet thanks a lot! I hope to be in the 80s by next Sunday!

WobbleWhenIRun · 17/08/2020 10:46

Well done everyone still hanging in with this thread and with trying to be a healtier version of themselves.

The end of week weigh in here had me down 1.9lbs - slow, steady and consistent so I'm happy. I also repeated a long hike I did with the dog a few weeks back. Last time I came back knackered but this time I was fine and went on to spend the day busy with other things afterwards - so I can see noticeable fitness improvements. Happy days.

I've also spent a bit of time thinking about why I used to over eat and the emotions I had around food which I viewed as non-judgemental company when I was alone. I am determined to bring my mindset back to a more balanced and healthier place. Something I heard stuck out for me: you cannot self-loathe yourself into being happier.

Self love is what's needed. Not self-hate. Flowers

Sforsh49 · 17/08/2020 11:04

Sunday weigh wasn't working for me so I've changed to Thursday. Will update then!!!

notevenamum1 · 17/08/2020 11:55

Welcome @Captainladder always good to have a new person with new enthusiasm join!!

I was aiming for 2lbs loss this week but I got 1.5lbs which I will definitely take. Those mid week cocktails got me.

I do think I have come a bit slacker with my eating window so want to nail it back this week. Think it’ll be 12.30 - 8.30 most days.

A loooot of effort goes into losing the smallest bit of weight. Really I hope I have it in me to see it through to the end this time.

YeetYeet · 17/08/2020 12:52

Same @notevenamum1
I was aiming for 2lbs and lost 1.4. Oh well, it's still good. I seem to be in a cycle of small loss and then a bigger loss the following week, so keeping fingers crossed for next Monday.

you cannot self-loathe yourself into being happier

Love this, @WobbleWhenIRun Smile

Blackbear19 · 17/08/2020 13:09

Given we'd been away my eating window went out the window so back in the door today and back to 12 - 8 although I've not actually touched food today.

Went out did the shopping avoided buying too much junk. I guess it's time for lunch.

Captainladder · 17/08/2020 21:55

Thank you for all your welcomes! It’s very encouraging to know that I’m not alone and that other people have been where I am now and aren’t there any more!! I managed a good day of no processed food, no snacking and lots of water which I’m pleased with. Didn’t manage my hip exercises as they are in a bit of a flare up today after too long a walk tomorrow. Will do my glute strengthening wall sit while brushing teeth though. Feeling positive Smile

MushMonster · 17/08/2020 22:16

Going back to the gym on wednesday and cycling indoors in the gym friday!
Not sure yet what to do at the weekend but it would be nice to fit something in

SansaClegane · 18/08/2020 09:32

Hi, fellow fatties!
Just a quick hello from me. Our 2 weeks holidays with my parents are almost over, and I braved the scales again this morning - pleased to report I've lost a pound!
Now I know 1lb in 2 weeks isn't great, but I had thought I'd gained some, as I've not restricted food / eaten what my mum cooks and had ice creams / cakes almost daily.
That said I did continue to do 16:8 so that's definitely helped! We've also been fairly active going swimming and walking/hiking every day. My Fitbit-lookalike-device sadly died last week (kept running out of battery after a couple of hours) so I've not kept track of how much I've moved, but I do think it's been similar levels or more than at home.
Hope everyone else is staying motivated too!

WobbleWhenIRun · 18/08/2020 11:20

1lb loss over a two week holiday is a great achievement. Don't do yourself down and - most importantly - you enjoyed your break and have (hopefully) recharged your batteries to keep on at it now you're home. Well done!

Sforsh49 · 18/08/2020 11:51

Well done @SansaClegane 1lb on in two weeks holiday is a real result!! I once went for a fortnight gourmet all inclusive to Mexico and only put 2lb on, was gutted as I felt i didn't get my monies worth 😂

FatCatThinCat · 18/08/2020 11:59

If I went anywhere for a fortnight gourmet all inclusive I'd have to be rolled back.

notevenamum1 · 18/08/2020 13:26

Hahaha me too @FatCatThinCat

Sforsh49 · 18/08/2020 14:49

Oh don't worry, been back since my disappointing gain in 2014 and in 2018 I put 10lb on 🤣🤣🤣

Blackbear19 · 18/08/2020 14:55

1lb of in 2 weeks on holiday sounds ace to me. Holidays aren't for loosing weight, stuff being a miserable sod while everyone else eats ice cream.

Managed to get DH to come onboard with a version of Couch to 5k, using the one on the Samsung app.
I looked at my old running leggings size 14 and thought FFS at what point in history, did my ass fit in them?
Apparently they are the same size as my M&S jeans -hmmm vanity sizing and all that what size are my jeans really?

fibeee · 18/08/2020 19:35

Disappointed in myself this evening for falling into my usual “eating my feelings” trap.

It’s just been one of those days. And I decided to deal with it by ordering a big dominos for dinner instead of cooking.

Hopefully I can draw a line under it tomorrow and move on.

FatCatThinCat · 18/08/2020 20:37

Don't beat yourself up fitbee I did similar last week and ordered a massive burger and chips because I was too tired. I still managed to lose weight (although it might catch me out this week)
