Well done to all the losers and good luck with tomorrow's weigh-in, @Sforsh49.

I'm pleased with today. Out of nowhere the thought of curly wurlies popped into my addled, chocolate-addicted brain. I managed to distract myself until after the shops were shut and temptation was over - goes without saying that had I given in, I'd've bought not just one curly wurly but a multipack, and I'd have wolfed the lot.

I haven't actually had a curly wurly in years, though! My chocolate preferences are Mars bars, Galaxy and Maltesers. Why on earth I should find myself craving curly wurlies is beyond me. Anyone else have random cravings?

Sforsh49 · 02/08/2020 07:16

I've weighed. It's good, 5lb off!!! I'm really pleased but now realistic to know that it'll come off at 1-2lb a week now. That's fine, I'd like to loose another 1.5 stone but to be honest a stone would do.

Must remember that weigh day is not treat day and stay on it!!!

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 02/08/2020 07:31

15st2. So down 2lb. Surprised as I've struggled this week. Total 16lb off in July.
10 days until we go on our anniversary break (if we can... DDs supposed to be staying with grandparents in West Yorkshire!) And would love to be below 15st by then.

I say myself in a full length mirror yesterday. Really made me look at myself. Also came to the conclusion that I can't change how I look today... But I can for next week, next month, Christmas etc. And I want to be smaller, and healthier. I want to run around with the children and keep up. I want to dance with them. I want to cycle up the hill outside bthe housem I don't want to get ill.

MushMonster · 02/08/2020 08:18

94.7 kg for the first week. So that is 7 pound of useless liquid mainly that I do not have to carry around! I feel a bit more agile too.

MushMonster · 02/08/2020 08:21

I had to google those balances that can differenciate between muscle and body fat! It sounds like a really good investment indeed. I did not even know that thay existed! Do you feel anything when you weight on them? Any tingling?

monkeytennis97 · 02/08/2020 08:23

Wow, brilliant all the losers, well done! I put on 1lb at my PILs house but it's gone again now after doing 1400 cals of exercise yesterday and eating 1400 too. So still on 51lbs loss since March 16th. Good luck to everyone for the coming week!

monkeytennis97 · 02/08/2020 08:24

@MushMonster @Sforsh49 @Aroundtheworldin80moves Well done!!!SmileSmile

ilovespinach · 02/08/2020 08:48

Would love to join.....

Started mid May at 84kg and 162 cm. I knew I had gained a lot of weight in the last few years but was really shocked to see that this put me in the obese category...

I started with 16/8 / 18/6 whatever fits best into my day and yesterday I weighed in at 75.5kg. Happy with the progress but still a bit to loose. Ideally I'd like to get down to 58kg, which I was before I had the kids.

Just about to fire up the Fit it and do 40 mins on the crosstrainer. I'm not so fit so I'm building it up slowly and not putting it at too high a level. I hope this time next week the scales will read 74 something kg....

Food planned: will break my fast with a salad with chickpeas and feta. Tea is veg omelette and salad. I'll make up at least 10k steps..

Good luck to everyone this week....

YeetYeet · 02/08/2020 09:08

Well done all the losers
@Aroundtheworldin80moves you are so right, all we can do is make the right choices now. Next week / next month / Christmas will be here whatever those choices are..

morningtoncrescent62 · 02/08/2020 09:15

@Aroundtheworldin80moves that's an amazing loss for July. Congratulations, and it looks like you'll be safely into the 14s for your anniversary break.

Welcome, @ilovespinach.

Franticbutterfly · 02/08/2020 09:19

2lb down overall this week. Not as much as I'd hoped but I can't complain.

Well done to everyone else of their losses.

SansaClegane · 02/08/2020 09:21

Good morning everyone!
So, Sunday weigh in...

Start weight: 14st 7 (29 June)
Last week: 13st 8.4
Today: 13st 6.2

That's another 2.2lbs down. I was almost a bit disappointed as the speed of weight loss has slowed - but then reminded myself that it's normal, and 2lbs a week is still good progress.
Hope everyone else had a good weigh-in too!

popgoesperfection · 02/08/2020 09:33

I have around 2st (maybe more if I dared to weigh myself 😬) to lose after having ds2 8 months ago.
Need a kick up the arse ...
Can I join please?

avocadoze · 02/08/2020 10:11

Sunday weigh in 79.5kg (starting 90kg).

Oddly I’m deliberately avoiding knowing what it means in stones and pounds as that’s always been a benchmark before and I’m doing it differently this time. I have been stuck around the 80kg mark for a while and seem to be plateauing a bit, but at least I’m below rather than above this week.

Apolloanddaphne · 02/08/2020 10:18

I really need to lose about 3 stones and it is really getting me down. I haven't weighed myself yet. I will do it tomorrow morning. I may go and charge up my Fitbit to help me. Then I will go back and read how you are all planning to lose the weight to see if I can get inspiration. I would really like to not have to count and track things as I end up getting fed up and just giving up.

JamRolyPolyAnyone · 02/08/2020 10:43

Weigh in day today. I’ve lost 3lb! I’ll take that 😁

It’s probably water loss but I’m now 12st something 💪

What is everyone up to today? Two 45 min walks for me. I find it easier than getting 10,000 steps in in one go.

Motiv8meplease · 02/08/2020 11:07

Hi - can I join you please?
I’ve gained over lockdown (already overweight) and efforts to track my calorie intake and exercise more are hit and miss. I’m constantly stuck at my computer and preparing big meals for the family.

I’m 12st 3 and aiming to lose 10% as my first target to take me to 11stone. It would be brilliant if I could lose 1 to 2 lbs a week

I’ve read your posts and thinking of limiting my calorie intake to 1200 and trying the 16:8 - so from what I’ve read I’d be limiting my eating to between 12-8pm? Correct me if I’m wrong?

New start today! Need to stop beating myself up about my weight 😫and take control.

Motiv8meplease · 02/08/2020 11:09

@JamRolyPolyAnyoneI’ve got my Fitbit ready too - get my 10,000 in - I’m sure it’ll make me feel better to getting out for some fresh air!

Blackbear19 · 02/08/2020 11:10

New scales arrived yesterday so jumped on them 12st 7.4, so half pound less than the old set, hey ho I'm grabbing that half pound and including it in my total as it could be a rounding thing on the old set.

This morning they are saying 12st 6.1.
So a 4lb drop from last week - yee-haa!

This week will be tougher thought I know I won't drop weight so quickly this week.

Blackbear19 · 02/08/2020 11:11

Yeetyeet - hows the new hoover?

Motiv8meplease · 02/08/2020 11:15

@Blackbear19 - that’s amazing weight loss!

So impressed with everyone’s impressive losses in a week!

Blackbear19 · 02/08/2020 11:59

Aroundtheworld thinking towards Christmas and other events is a driver for me too.
While Covid has bopped events (work dos, weddings, parties) on head for a bit. I always hate the feeling of looking for an outfit for a do and struggling to find something that will disguise my belly or make me feel good. Then I always get sat beside a skinny malinky.

Motiv8 yes that's the way to do 8:16 8 hour eating period and 16 hour fast. During the week I've done 12-8pm but yesterday and today it seems to be 11.30 - 7.30 I can't imagine the 30 mins difference will cause any issues.

New scales and DH seems to be joining me. Hes a little over weight but nowhere near obese. Embarrassingly I'm heavier than he isBlush

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 02/08/2020 12:18

To put you all off your lunch and keep weight loss on track... This is what I WON'T look like at Christmas.

SansaClegane · 02/08/2020 12:47

Aroundtheworld you have done incredibly well so far. I'm sure you'll achieve your Christmas goal! Do you notice a difference in how your clothes fit already?
Here's me after 1 stone loss... really want to get rid of that back/ underarm fat Sad and ideally for my legs/arse to be half the size they are now!! Grin

FatCatThinCat · 02/08/2020 13:05

I lost 0.5 kg this week. So that's 1 lb. I know I should be happy as a loss is a loss and 1 lb is more realistic than the earlier big losses, but I'm gutted.

They do say that lack of sleep affects badly the appetite and it makes us put weight on, and I think it is quite true. I tend to eat more when sleep deprived and less when actually tired due to physical activity

My apnea count was 35 per hour. So I was being roused from sleep around every 2 minutes, all night, for years. Shock
