Morning all! How is it July!

Welcome to the July lose 7lbs thread. All are welcome to join whether you are a regular, lurker, oldie, newbie, or a proper old timer like me 😂

All we ask for is the amazing support and positivity that I've seen in every single one of these threads so far. Last months thread is here June thread - lose 7lbs/3kg per month http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/weightlosss_chat/3925539-June-thread-lose-7lbs-3kg-per-month

Stats for me are:
Start weight (Dec 2018) 25 st 2lbs
Current weight: 17st 6lbs
Loss for June : 3lbs (boo 😳)
Total loss so far: 7st 10lbs

Would love to get into the 16s this month! I'm following WW green plan, I eat mainly plant based with a little dairy/cheese/gin thrown in. My aim this month is more plants and less gin 😂

Plan for today is OMAD - grapefruit segments to snack on throughout the morning and then a pea and mint risotto for dinner with side salad.

Have a fabulous 1st July everyone!

@NerrSnerr it's so hard being a tiny bit away from the next stone bracket!

recklessgran · 11/07/2020 10:01

Morning all. Not much going on here - I'm just about maintaining. Looking back in my journal I'm on a definite stall but at least not gaining. In my head I've set 12 stone as the absolute ceiling for me in the long term but so annoyed with myself that I can't seem to get to the elusive 11st 10lbs. That is the very top end of healthy weight for my height on the BMI chart. I simply must do it this month - only a pound and a half to go so can't work out why it's not happening.
DD4 is coming for the day today so I've promised her the big roast beef dinner which is our family's ultimate mummy comfort meal. We will probably go and do a bit of shopping this afternoon. I need to get some storage for DD1's not inconsiderable craft supplies. That will be
the final phase of the clear out/tidy up we've been doing at her bungalow. Hoping her [and her supply of hot cross buns] will be going home next weekend!
Well done on all the losses and hope everyone has a good weekend.

GetTheStartyParted · 11/07/2020 13:33

Afternoon all!
@NerrSnerr it always seems to slow when you approach a new stone bracket, so frustrating. KOKO and the results will soon show I'm sure.

Well done @Howmanysleepsnow @MonicaBingaling @JessJonesJumps and @peanutbutterdog Star

@recklessgran enjoy your weekend. I'm waiting to hit 11st9 to become "only" overweight but, of course, I have been stuck at 11st11 for what feels like ages! Grin

I'm suffering a bit this week, I have endometriosis, which for the main part is not too bad. This week has been terrible though, so painful. It means that I've been so tired and lazy.

A relaxing weekend is on the cards here.

cricketmum84 · 11/07/2020 14:25

Happy weekend all! Feeling a little delicate today as I was at my sisters yesterday for birthday drinks. We were quite bad and ordered Chinese food but I only ate half of mine and didn't order any sides so feeling relatively virtuous today.

That said kids have asked for pizza tonight so I'm going to allow myself 2 slices but have plenty of salad to fill myself up. Still haven't Wright but probably will do Tuesday when I have finished the antibiotics and steroids although god knows what the result will be as I know steroids aren't great for weight loss.

@GetTheStartyParted can totally empathise with the feeling ill and tired thing. I'll admit I'm still in my pyjamas.

In other news cricketcat and cricketkitten have finally decided to be friends. This apparently means I will leave less cuddles from both as they are far too busy wrestling or cuddling each other! Pics below for the cat lovers x

Awe they are beautiful @Cricketmum84 and I'm glad they're comfortable and happy with each other.
Still in the 11s here but joining the posters with the lurgy- headache and nausea here. I've slept most of the day.

MonicaBingaling · 11/07/2020 21:40

Thank you @GetTheStartyParted

Hope you feel better soon and have a nice relaxed weekend xx

WhatALearningCurve · 11/07/2020 22:54

Hello! Tonight I've been to my friends and then the pub for the first time in months. My friend at one point went "oh my god you're tiny" which was highly appreciated. I'm now home tipsy (son is at his dads) and I'm sat here eating a takeaway.

Hoping it doesn't have too much of a bad effect on my weight loss this week but I'm about 2lb from being in a "healthy" bmi band and I feel like I'm at a point where I need to merge my weight loss with actually living my life.

It was also INCREDIBLE to be in a pub 4 months after I was last in one. It was basically empty, everyone was socially distant but it felt so lovely and normal!

Howmanysleepsnow · 12/07/2020 08:10

@Cricketmum84 Beautiful pictures!

I’ve regained 3 of the 4lb loss this week overnight. DH reckons it’s just period bloating, but I’m on the pill so not convinced I have the same hormonal fluctuations as with a normal period.
Does anyone here gain/ lose weight in their pill free week? The loss was a day after my first missed pill, the gain 2 days later when AF arrived (TMI sorry).

GetTheStartyParted · 12/07/2020 08:55

@Howmanysleepsnow I'm not on the pill but around that time of the month things can go haywire! Sometimes I drop weight and regain, sometimes it increases then drops, sometimes it just slows. Hormones and water retention can make a big difference.

@WhatALearningCurve sounds like you had a great night Smile

Bella444 · 12/07/2020 09:00

@Howmanysleepsnow I've done the same, 2lbs on for the last two days when I'd just happily hit 12 stone Confused.

I take my pill continuously so no break but this is the point in the month where I would be taking a break - if that makes sense! I still get fluctuations in weight and mood.

Just keep plugging away at it and will hopefully see a loss next week.

NerrSnerr · 12/07/2020 10:18

Morning all. Managed to stay on track so far this weekend (apart from my usual Saturday drinks). It's my husband's birthday tomorrow so we'll get a takeaway but I will try to choose wisely.

Today I'm taking my children out to a local park and maybe a walk in the woods. Enjoying the sunshine.

Still 12st 1 but hoping to see the 11s soon.

Shedtheload · 12/07/2020 11:37

Glad everyone is doing well. I am also staying on track. My next goal is the 11s too. Am still around 7 lbs away though so won’t be for a while yet.
Been for a 5k run this morning and am planning to have some grilled salmon, potatoes and salad for dinner later.

WhatALearningCurve · 12/07/2020 12:56

Morning all

Weight this morning is roughly the same as it was yesterday. Taking this as a good sign because usually the morning after drinking I have massive loss because I'm so dehydrated so it skews things. But hoping because I stayed the same my body has processed it all as normal which means tomorrow I won't have my usual bloat 2 days after having takeaway.

If I do have the bloat though I'll probably just move my official weigh in to Tuesday. Just come out for a walk and my headphones ran out of battery 2 minutes in. Furious!

Took a progress photo this morning. Fully paid up member of the MySpace generation and I still don't know what to do in a mirror selfie.

One of the left is this morning. The right is the 22nd June. Definitely getting happier with what I see in the mirror but definitely feel like I want to be closer to 9 stone then originally planned.

The one place where I really feel like Ive lost weight that was in no way expected was my shoulders. Didn't even realise you could have far shoulders but apparently I did!

WhatALearningCurve · 12/07/2020 13:02

*Fat shoulders. Not far!

Also. For comparison. Found this gem on my phone. This was at my heaviest (not including pregnancy)

Shedtheload · 12/07/2020 14:58

Wow whataoearningcurve you’ve done really well. I can tell a real difference in your face as well and your body looks more toned in the second photo.

Howmanysleepsnow · 12/07/2020 15:18

@WhatALearningCurve that’s amazing! Well done!

MonicaBingaling · 12/07/2020 15:19

Well done @WhatALearningCurve I can see a big difference, you have done amazing !!!

GetTheStartyParted · 12/07/2020 17:42

Well done @WhatALearningCurve 👏 amazing Star give yourself a pat on the back Smile

peanutbutterdog · 12/07/2020 17:50

You look fantastic, whatalearningcurve - can see how toned you are and the big difference in your face. Well done!

WhatALearningCurve · 12/07/2020 19:08

Thank you guys!!!

cricketmum84 · 12/07/2020 23:18

Evening all! Been knees deep in a horrendous spreadsheet all day and then had a scary flying ant invasion!!!

Still haven't weighed, still feeling a bit rubbish to be honest but definitely in less pain now. Had a portion of leftover quorn chilli for dinner today with a small sprinkle of vegan cheese, haven't really fancied anything else today. Hoping to get back to a more normal eating pattern from tomorrow.

@WhatALearningCurve you look amazing, and such a difference. You must be feeling so proud of yourself!

@Bella444 are you on mini-pill? I take it continuously too but don't seem to notice any hormonal fluctuation with my mood etc. Just moody every day lol!

Bella444 · 13/07/2020 06:36

@WhatALearningCurve that's brilliant progress!

@cricketmum84 glad you're feeling a bit better. No, I'm on rigevidon (combined).

Not sure if I want to weigh myself today after the last three days of holding on to a surprise 2lbs Confused.

Have managed to increase my IF times to 17 hours usually with an odd 20:4 thrown in. Let's see if it makes any difference next week!

GetTheStartyParted · 13/07/2020 09:25

Morning, weigh in day today. STS this week but after how I've been feeling, I'm just relieved it isn't a gain!

I've now done 24 weeks keto and the results look alright Smile

I've bought a new recipe book and I am enjoying trying some new dishes. I made seafood pie yesterday and will be making a stroganoff tonight.

Happy Monday everyone.

Shedtheload · 13/07/2020 09:30

Wow pretty impressive results there GetThePartyStarted! If my maths are correct, you’ve lost 50 lbs which is amazing.
I have lost another 0.6 kg so I am now down a total of 13.4kg or 29 lbs. 30 lbs is a milestone I’m looking forward to and I’m nearly there now.

GetTheStartyParted · 13/07/2020 09:44

Yes, @Shedtheload that's right, 50lbs. Thank you Smile

Well done on your loss, thats great Star I love hitting a milestone along the way, you'll be there in no time.
