oh dear, I think I tip the scales for everyone Blush I'm 5'2 and the scales are at 14st 5lb. I've no mojo but I know I need to do something. I've been looking at Noom and Second Nature the past few weeks but tell myself if I've not managed to succeed before, why will I succeed now when the challenge is literally bigger than ever?!

MoonBaby1 · 28/06/2020 23:14

sandstone you’re in very good company Grin. We can do this!!

Aside from weight loss, where does everyone but their petite clothes?

Next is my go to and Gap bit everywhere else seems super pricey!

Next and second hand boden on ebay. Sainsbury’s are surprisingly good - especially jeans if you are curvy at the bum and slim at the waist!

Feckmesideways · 28/06/2020 23:25

I had one dark chocolate digestive biscuit. Saved calories by not having a cup of tea! Grin @MoonBaby1 I agree, next do good jeans, the 360 degree stretchy ones. Other than that I usually live in black vest tops and some over flowy shirts from the likes of religion (usually when in sale).

prolefeed · 28/06/2020 23:27

Sand, I’m not that far behind at 13.10. 😊 We got this.
I’m not in the UK so not much help on clothes shopping.

Chocolateteabag · 29/06/2020 07:07

@Feckmesideways I have been having 1 scoop (50g / 200cals) in 200ml of water for breakfast and lunch during the week.
I do try to see how long I can last on tea/coffee most mornings though and if I'm not that hungry I skip breakfast (doesn't often happen though)

Weekends - just once a day as either we've had a late afternoon Sunday lunch so I've only eaten twice anyway or I have treat breakfast

I'm trying to stick to 1200-1400 cals - plain whole meal rice cakes (Aldi) are my biscuit alternative - sometimes with a smear of peanut butter on
Also a spoonful of bovril in hot water is only 20 cals or something like that and is really good to distract hunger pangs

littleninja · 29/06/2020 07:16

Hi ladies, can I join in too please?
I need to lose about a stone which doesn't sound much but it's so hard!
I run 3 times a week and walk a lot but I also reward myself with food. I eat the wrong things at the wrong times and want to try and change my mindset towards eating to provide my body and mind with nourishment rather than constantly giving in to cravings.
I feel old and frumpy and really need a kick up the backside!
I have done a quick all over body workout and an abs workout on you tube this morning. It's a 2 week shred so I'm going to try and stick at it.
I have just stepped on the scales and have photographed myself (urgh) so hopefully in a couple of weeks I can look back and see some improvement.
I am already obsessing about breakfast which I can't eat for another 3 hours!!! Good luck today everyone!

sevendevils · 29/06/2020 07:29

Morning @littleninja I am envious that you only have one stone to lose, you are doing the right thing dealing with it before it becomes two stones. Good luck.

Jannyapple66 · 29/06/2020 07:45

Morning everyone @littleninja I'm envious that you have the energy to do that workout ... I'm WFH today so have managed to get to the kettle and that's it
@sevendevils just had a sneaky look on the scales .... Smile I'm on track but determined not to get back on until Friday morning
Have a great day all of us shorties !

MoonBaby1 · 29/06/2020 08:43

Welcome litteninja I also reward myself with food. I also comfort eat.

I really messed up last night and had crisps, two glasses of wine and an ice cream. I still feel positive though as I’m conscious of what I ate IYSWIM.

Hello, can I join in please? I’m 5’3” and 11 stone 3. I’ve lost a dress size throughout lockdown, but no actual weight Confused. I signed up for Walk 1000 miles, and I’ve started cycling to work. It’s much easier to do all that when it’s sunny though...
Intermittent fasting (16:8) helped me last year, and so did giving up alcohol, so I need to do both of those again. I want to join you all for accountability!

MoonBaby1 · 29/06/2020 09:09

imissmoominmama welcome!

I’ll have to look up walk 1000miles .

Flippinfurloughed · 29/06/2020 09:26

Right, I’m starting today - I weighed myself and I’m 162.8 lbs and 37% body fat Shock

I’m going to try and be sensible and keep my calories about the 1000 mark and do 30 mins exercise a day with intermittent Fasting keeping my eating window between 9-5 (works for kids meals which are my danger points!)

I’m 5ft 2 and would love to be 130lbs so I’m going to aim to lose 32lbs at 2lbs a week. That pretty much takes me to being in the shape I want to be in for schools going back in September. I’m going to make myself a tracker / calendar to hold myself accountable!

Come on fellow shorties - lets doooo this!

sevendevils · 29/06/2020 09:29

Morning @Jannyapple66 I was going to weigh myself this morning but I forgot before I got in the shower. Didn't want to do it after the shower as my hair was wet and figured it would make me weigh more 😄 I'm going to try and hold out until Fat Friday weigh in.

Just about to walk the dogs to get some steps in.

@MoonBaby1 which day will you weigh in every week?

sevendevils · 29/06/2020 09:38

@Flippinfurloughed well done deciding to start today. It sounds like you have a plan. Good luck.

monkeyonthetable · 29/06/2020 09:44

I need to join you. I'm similar. 5'4 and 11 st 10 Shock. I feel so down about it. I was even up for three hours last night with insomnia despairing at myself (this among other things) I'd love to be 9st 7lb by September. It is possible. DS has lost a stack of weight during lockdown just by skipping breakfast, halving lunch and never having seconds at dinner. He still eats whatever he wants (though makes much healthier choices, generally) just far less of it. He's now only 2lb away from his target weight.

sevendevils · 29/06/2020 10:19

@monkeyonthetable hello and welcome. I was spending so much time and losing sleep as I was so upset about my size. It's crazy really as we are all capable of not eating so much and moving a little bit more. I feel happier now that I have made the decision to sort myself out. I guess half of the battle is actually starting. This thread is also helping me stay on track. Good luck to you.

Lyricallie · 29/06/2020 10:23

Hi everyone!
5ft3 checking in and I have put on all the weight I had lost for my wedding over lockdown and now I'm scared I won't fit into my wedding dress for our rescheduled wedding in October!

I'm giving myself a midway goal by July which is when I might be able to visit my family which gets me back to pre lockdown weight which is another 5lb. Then hopefully keep going down towards October. I'd love to lose 2 stone!

I've started alternate day fasting. So 36 hour fasts then in between eating to my TDEE which is about 1300 kcal a day. Been so awful last two weeks though and lost my good work. But I guess draw a line under. I blame my fiance's 30th birthday over compensated for lock down with loooots of cake!

My downfall is definitely cheese and crackers not too fussed about alcohol or sweet things.

Hopefully jumping on board!

sevendevils · 29/06/2020 10:26

@Lyricallie fitting into your wedding dress is a massive motivation. You have no choice but to do this.

I pretty much have just one pair of jeans and a couple of tops that still fit me. I have a wardrobe full of lovely clothes and I will be so happy just to be able to fit into them again. Good luck.

Flippinfurloughed · 29/06/2020 10:27

I’m a sucker for a visual aid - I’ve printed off 2 of these (one for the kitchen and one for the bathroom by the scales)

If I lose 2lbs a week then it’s slow but steady and I will feel amazing for start of term, and then kick ass for half term. I’m going to colour in each of the dots as I lose a lb Grin

It’s come to my attention that I’m fat. Pre obese in fact.
sevendevils · 29/06/2020 10:29

@Flippinfurloughed love that idea. I'm logging my weight into my Fitbit app. My first weigh day is on Friday

Thestral · 29/06/2020 10:45

Hi everyone. This is the thread I need.

I'm 5'4" (is that quadruplets now?) and 11st 1lb. I saw a photo of myself his weekend and I've got about 4 more chins than at the start of lockdown.

Trouble is, I have no willpower and finish all the kids leftovers every night. I also think I'm developing a bit of an unhealthy drinking habit, so that needs knocking on the head too.

I just love carbs so much...potato waffles are my downfall. Sad

Lyricallie · 29/06/2020 10:47

Totally! Worst bit is my dress is with the dressmaker (got stuck there a week before lockdown) so I can't even try it on to check!

I might try and up my steps going by what people are saying on here!

sevendevils · 29/06/2020 10:55

@Lyricallie well I hate any form of exercise so it's pointless kidding myself that I will do it. I have started walking my dogs a couple of times a day, my dh usually does the dog walking. It enables me to do at least 10,000 steps a day and walking is really easy. I'm quite enjoying it to be honest. I hated it the first day but look forward to it now. I never thought that I would say those words!
