I've hit peak fatness

Anyone up for sorting their lard body out? I've peaked with my fatness and I need to sort it. I can no longer hide. Tomorrow will be the day. Are you up for it too?

@lou967 that's such a good way to look at it. Tomorrow is the last time I will see 12st 7lbs.

I'm going to use MFP to count calories and my Fitbit to try and force me to get my steps up. I haven't been going for a walk at all and I really need to start.

TrenchTown · 17/05/2020 19:03

@lou967 I'm thinking calorie counting with low carb chucked in and not eating after 6pm. I'm a terrible muncher all evening and consume a huge amount of calories after 6pm so I will have a cut off point now.

@Macca84 good luck. You can do it Grin

onemouseplace · 17/05/2020 19:04

@Macca84 I really fancied doing the 90 day plan as well, but I’m not sure it’s practical at the moment for us (especially as DH is doing 80% of the cooking) - I may give it a go when life is a little bit back to normal.

lou967 · 17/05/2020 19:04

@MillieMoodle glad it's helped you. :) I wish I was 10st. Haha. I'm terrible at maintaining.

lou967 · 17/05/2020 19:06

@TrenchTown good luck. Probably best to start by shrinking one meal and then as you get used to it, start shrinking the others. That way you don't get as hungry. Portion control is difficult at first. But after a while you'll get used to eating smaller meals and you'll get fuller quicker. Well I seemed to when I lost 6st.

Low carb is something I've never tried. I find that I lose weight as long as I eat around 1200. Not everyone is the same though.

Macca84 · 17/05/2020 19:07

@onemouseplace - I actually thing I've signed up at the wrong time - I'm a single parent to a 10yo fussy eater, working from home in a crazy busy job. But I'm just going to exercise early morning before the laptop goes on and prep as many meals as I can Sunday night. Here's hoping anyway Grin

MaggieTheFrog · 17/05/2020 19:09

Thank you. I've downloaded Nutra check app to calorie count. I'm going to do a weigh in and take my measurements tomorrow morning Confused

Apolloanddaphne · 17/05/2020 19:16

I am literally rotund. I look the same from the front and the side. You could roll me down a hill. It needs to change. I will weigh tomorrow too and report in. Meanwhile I will eat meatballs and pasta and drink wine.

MillieMoodle · 17/05/2020 19:27

@lou967 I get disheartened if I don't see instant results. I need to adjust my expectations quite dramatically!

@Apolloanddaphne me too! I'm on my second glass of wine and just had a chocolate biscuit. Tomorrow is when it starts, I just need to try not to eat my body weight in chocolate between now and then 😂

lou967 · 17/05/2020 19:29

@MillieMoodle I'm the same. If I'm not seeing results and I know that I haven't been eating the naughty stuff (biscuits, cakes etc) then I do get disheartened. I must fit back into all my old clothes. They're in my wardrobe waiting for me. Smile

Naiceandaslice · 17/05/2020 19:35

Do you mind if I join you all? Will weigh in tomorrow but think I have 3 stone to lose Sad not the best week to start as DP’s birthday on Wednesday but will have to make do. Must not make excuses!

Sparkesy · 17/05/2020 19:41

Oh please can I join too? This is perfect timing for me, I'm the biggest I've been, and it's only getting worse. I have 3 stone to lose and started a lowish carb 16:8 today. I HAVE to do this!!

Anotherdayanothernight · 17/05/2020 19:41

@Apolloanddaphne I've had a lovely roast, and dessert, but tomorrow is a new day!

TrenchTown · 17/05/2020 19:46

@Sparkesy
@Naiceandaslice

Welcome, thanks so much for joining. Strength in numbers, as they say.

Is anyone else having a mini freak out about finding out how much they weigh tomorrow morning? I have been in denial, complete denial.

Anotherdayanothernight · 17/05/2020 20:12

Trenchtown, I've been in complete denial, but hoping for a bit of inspiration tomorrow

justanotherneighinparadise · 17/05/2020 20:21

I’m happy to weigh in in the morning. I need to face it 🤦🏻‍♀️

lou967 · 17/05/2020 20:22

I didn't like it when I weighed in on Thursday. But it's got to be done. You all need to see where you are at. Then you can start to make the number smaller Grin

DollyPartons · 17/05/2020 20:23

I got lumps n bumps in all the wrong places, so I'll willingly join you Trenchtown

Are you going to log weekly weight loss and note food log?

Initial aim of 2 some I think for me.

StartingGrid · 17/05/2020 20:39

Lying on the sofa like a beached whale after a huge plate on Indian and some icecream, I have apparently found my people.
I'm the fattest I've ever been and I HATE it. Still have to work each day but will go for only eating between 12 and 8 each day and when my treadmill is delivered at the weekend I'll be on it till I'm bandy. 3 stone loss is my aim - might lose a small bit soon if the cat keeps marching on my stomach, making me queasy Hmm

Hobbes8 · 17/05/2020 21:05

I need to join....I’m just so round

I’m going to do 12:8 and try and keep the calories and carbs down as well. I’ve been exercising and I’ve got one of those wobbly plates so I’ll get back on that.

I’ll go for a 2 stone target, although that puts me at some of your starting weights...

KeepWashingThoseHands · 17/05/2020 21:19

Lockdown has not been kind and following an injury before Christmas I'm the largest I've ever been and weighed less at 9 months pregnant.

I've been good today, started 1200 with MFP and did day 1 of 30 day shred. I need to get back to tracking on MFP.

I can't decide whether to do Exante for a couple of weeks as a kick start.

Witchgonebad · 17/05/2020 21:35

Me too please!
Need to lose 2st! I successfully lost it a few yrs ago, the. A traumatic year followed by home working and I’m back where I started and struggling to lose anything.

I’m going to aim for 15k steps a day and low carb. Also only eating between 12 & 8 and use MFP to tack calories.

Weigh in tomorrow.
