Anyone up for sorting their lard body out? I've peaked with my fatness and I need to sort it. I can no longer hide. Tomorrow will be the day. Are you up for it too?

And tonight is pizza and wine night because my friend is in the final of the Great British sewing bee 😀😀😀😀

DollyPartons · 24/06/2020 23:27

@MillieMoodle ive been on 1250 Cal's to loose 1-2lb a week as advised by mfp.ive tracked and feel very healthy from upping water, greek zero yoghurt with fruit in morn, salad with lean Protein at lunch and dinner, fruit for snacks or babybell, eggs or the like.

So frustrating, this has never happened before. I've always lost, easily! Clearly not atm though.

wizzler · 28/06/2020 23:16

Eyebrows plucked, legs shaved ... might make all the difference for weigh in tomorrow! Good luck everyone!

😂😂😂

Morning everyone. I had a bit of a crap week and too much to drink on Friday so I wasn't looking forward to the scales this morning. But I've lost 600g. A loss is a loss!

Good luck everybody!

wizzler · 29/06/2020 07:07

@Trandafire it worked!. Another lb off this week, 8 in total since we started

Pippinlily · 29/06/2020 07:16

@wizzler 😂 yes but I don’t think it’s worked for me

Nice one @Trandafire

Booze has been my massive downfall this week. I got invited to a few socially distanced drinks gatherings in the sunshine & got overexcited. Related booze-snacking & hangover snacking followed.
Normal days eating were ok though & exercise.
Anyway logging another stay-the-same for me (Though it’s hovering just below the full stone but definitely not on 1lb below).

25/5 12st 7lb
1/6 12st 4lb
8/6 12st 2lb
15/6 12st 0lb
22/6 12st 0lb
29/6 12st 0lb

This week I’m going to try to be (at least mostly) booze-free.

Straysocks · 29/06/2020 13:40

@wizzler I'm considering taking your suggestion one step further and leaving one foot on the floor. Only way I'm getting under 11st - still at 11st 1.5. This even though my beloved football team won the league - I celebrated with a sparkling water. On that effort alone can I have all the medals please. I'm going to live it up on Thursday when we're crowned, bugger it.

DollyPartons · 01/07/2020 15:41

I'm 1lb up at 14 stone zzzzz. I'm amazed at me not giving up tbh albeit taken to not rigid in last week as fed up , a girl can only take so much! ..

Back to the grinding stone tomorrow. I'm not sure if I sound desperate? I wonder if after years of a slimming world consistent loss, but now not working I should have a stab at blood sugar diet 🤔

Straysocks · 01/07/2020 16:24

Are you weighing every day @DollyPartons? I find that it fluctuates quite a bit. It seems to me like you see a lower number appear once and then it fluctuates for a few days& eventually the lower number becomes the new norm. What is your goal/target/motivation? I needed a complete change of attitude to food and though I am creeeeping down I'm definitely doing well with control. Keep going,

Trandafire · 05/07/2020 13:17

Hope everyone has had a good week. I've been ill and sleep-deprived, not exercised for a few days and have been eating a bit more as well. So just hoping I won't have gained too much tomorrow morning. Good luck to the Monday weighers!

wizzler · 05/07/2020 18:44

Good luck to you @Trandafire . Im aware I've not been as strict with myself this week. In an attempt to salvage the situation I've done extra walking today, had a salad for dinner and turned my back on a glass of wine

Trandafire · 05/07/2020 19:58

Same to you @wizzler. I've been surviving on snacks today and didn't say no to a glass of wine but will be back on the straight and narrow tomorrow, no matter what the scales say in the morning!

Trandafire · 06/07/2020 06:36

Lost 1.2kg Shock

wizzler · 06/07/2020 06:51

That's brilliant. Well done

wizzler · 06/07/2020 07:04

1.5 lb off for me.. about 9lbs in total.

Trandafire · 06/07/2020 09:30

Great, well done!

Pippinlily · 06/07/2020 11:10

Well done both. I felt like I’d had quite a good week but have only lost 0.5-1lb. Oh well, it takes me into the 11s by the skin of my teeth.

MillieMoodle · 12/07/2020 08:15

Hello all, I'm still here. Am currently 12st 2lbs which is down 8lbs in total. My weight seems to fluctuate as a PP said and then eventually settle on the lower weight about a week after I've first seen it on the scales.

I saw my aunt yesterday for the first time since Christmas and she asked if I'd lost weight, so hopefully it's starting to show!

I'm aiming for 12st by the end of next week and then hopefully into the 11s after that! Got just over a year til we go on holiday so I've got time to lose slowly and steadily.

Well done to everyone for sticking with it.

wizzler · 12/07/2020 12:28

Hi Millie was hoping someone would reappear on here. Well done on losing 8 lbs. I've done 10 and my clothes fit now ( although they are a size bigger than I would like!)
My top tip for confirming how well you've done.... fill a carrier bag with groceries weighing 8 lbs and carry that around for an hour.

Trandafire · 12/07/2020 13:03

@MillieMoodle well done and thanks for posting - it's getting very quiet in here lately.

Speaking of carrying around the weight you've lost, I've now lost a bit more than my toddler weighs (remember at the beginning of the thread when we were referring to newborns!?) and after 5 minutes of carrying her I am knackered... So it's strange to think I used to have that spread all over me Confused. Anyway we'll see what the scales say tomorrow. Now I've lost a toddler I've been allowing myself the odd treat - don't mind losing the last bit more slowly.

MillieMoodle · 12/07/2020 13:22

@wizzler that's such a good idea to carry a bag round for a bit that weighs 8lbs! I'm hoping if I lose a stone or more then my back ache and dodgy knees might improve too! Well done for losing 10lbs, that's a great achievement.

@Trandafire I've got a way to go until I've lost a toddler in weight, I'm not even at DS2's newborn weight yet - he was a big 'un! Well done for losing so much though. I'm aiming for 10st I think, so I've got a way to go. Aiming to get into the 11s first though.

wizzler · 12/07/2020 14:23

Me too... I'm 12st 4 ish now and would like to be 10.5... getting to 11 stone anything will be a big milestone for me.
I have officially moved from obese to overweight. Dh was very Hmmwhen I told him I was delighted to be overweight!

Pippinlily · 12/07/2020 19:11

Hi @MillieMoodle good to see you back here.

I’m plodding on. Slowly & steadily. I’ve been feeling a bit less positive since my initial losses tailed off (I feel like I should be 11st7 already 😂) but I’m not doing anything drastic.
Regular exercise (5k 3 x week + 1 or 2 yoga sessions), approx 12-16hr non-eating window skipping breakfast, Otherwise eating normally & avoiding mindless scoffing. I do drink a fair amount of booze though & have done less well cutting that down.
Not expecting great things from tomorrow’s weigh in really but hoping. It’s not been a bad week at all.

I might have to try the carrying round your loss tip for a positivity boost.

Good luck for those weighing tomorrow.

InTheNorth123 · 12/07/2020 21:18

Hi all,
I lost 7lb but I've put two back on this week thanks to snacking and not tracking my calories properly. I've learnt that I can't have chocolate and crisps etc in the house as I can't ration them. So I've decided to go cold turkey for now (although I'll need to address this at some point).

I'm going to make a salad to take to work tomorrow and I've got some home made soup in the fridge for tea tomorrow and Tuesday. I'm going to stick to 1200 cals rigidly this week and hope to undo the damage Sad
