Anyone up for sorting their lard body out? I've peaked with my fatness and I need to sort it. I can no longer hide. Tomorrow will be the day. Are you up for it too?

Hello everyone, you are doing really well. I lost another couple of lbs and have been really strictly with diet, I’ve been up really early every morning for a week to you either A YouTube Kettlebell workout or yoga and..... I’ve put on 3lbs 😩😢

Straysocks · 16/06/2020 18:39

Ah, @Hippofrog That will definitely be you turning into pure muscle, definitely!

@TrenchTown everything all right with you? Not seen you round these parts for a while

Trandafire · 18/06/2020 10:08

Just coming on to once again recommend doing photos every couple of weeks as another way to track progress. I've just done my third set and while the difference isn't as visible as the first two sets there are little signs - collarbone more obvious, clothes clearly looser (and I'd just put on the leggings clean from the wash so they hadn't gone baggy from wear). It's a good way of staying motivated Smile
Hope everyone is having a good week.

UnicornAndSparkles · 18/06/2020 11:43

That's a good idea about the photos. Haven't braved that, or measuring yet! I'm only on day 10. I'm down 2.2lb through a combination of logging on MFP and sticking to under 1500 cal and eating in a rough 9h window. I need to lose 2stone really, but it's a v gradual process as I hate exercise and am not prepared to starve myself!

wizzler · 18/06/2020 16:46

Last week I was super motivated. Walked miles and ate healthily. Lost nothing. This week ate fish and chips ( wedding anniversary treat) and hardly moved from the chair because of the rain and I am 2 lbs down. I guess it all means that we should keep going even if we think we've messed up!

Sunshineeeee · 19/06/2020 17:36

@wizzler that's me right now! Walking daily, eating less and healthy, breastfeeding.. lost nada! Frustration! I haven't got a choice to give up as I've got so much to lose but it just feels like an impossible task right now.

wizzler · 21/06/2020 22:52

Good luck for tomorrow's weigh in everyone

wizzler · 22/06/2020 07:20

2lbs off for me this morning. That's half a stone since we started . Pleased with that.

Trandafire · 22/06/2020 07:28

Morning! 1.3kg down and into the 60s (just! 69.2 this morning) which was my initial goal. Smile
Next goal is 61 which is healthy BMI. I'll be pretty happy with mid-60s to be honest.
Good luck to all Monday weighers!

Trandafire · 22/06/2020 07:29

Congratulations @wizzler

wizzler · 22/06/2020 08:47

Well done @Trandafire that's amazing progress

Innitogether · 22/06/2020 08:54

Morning everyone. I weighed in last Monday at 12st 13.4lb and weighed in this morning at 12st 8.2lb, so a 5.2lb loss which I’m thrilled with. I’ve been doing 16:8, sometimes stretching the fast to 17 or 18hrs. I’ve also stuck to 1200cals a day, but eating whatever I want, so cake, cheese on toast and bacon butties have been on the menu this week. I know my weight loss will slow down so I’m finally going to start adding exercise to my routine from today (only walking to start with). I’m not sure exactly why I’ve had such a big loss, I think not eating in the evening (kitchen closes around 7pm) and sticking to clean fasts may be 2 of the reasons why. Whatever it is, I’m sticking to IF and 1200cals for now.

Straysocks · 22/06/2020 10:13

Congratulations to @Innitogether, @wizzler and @Trandafire So proud! Some very satisfying losses there. I'm struggling, I'm doing 18:6 for 6 days per week and like @Innitogether I am eating some atypical diet food and still under the 1280 MFP recommended because of portion size. I'm much happier with my relationship with food than ever as an adult and feel good but the scales ... I've seen 11st 1.5 this week, scales say 11st 2.75 this morning. I feel like I'm stuck. Any pointers gratefully received

Innitogether · 22/06/2020 10:26

@Straysocks, is this your first week? My big loss is due to water loss, as well as some fat loss, during the first week. I'm weighing every day so I can see the fluctuations. My week looks like the attached, so ups and downs. Also I do think stopping eating fairly early in the evening helps me. I have gone to bed with a rumbling tummy a couple of times but knowing I could eat whatever I fancied when I got up kept me going. Could it be ToM? I'm lucky I dont have periods anymore so dont have to deal with those hormonal fluctuations.

Straysocks · 22/06/2020 10:34

@Innitogether Love your fancy graph! It's week 4 or May 5. Starting weight 11 8. I could eat less calories and have on occasion but don't think that's the way forward. I really like this new way of eating, it's not stressful, but maybe it's not the way I'll shift my huge arse.

Pippinlily · 22/06/2020 10:59

Well done on all the losses!

It was ToM for me & I’ve basically had a week of self-sabotage. Low on exercise & far too much booze & evening snacking (crisps/choc/ice cream). But I’m getting back on it & feel lucky for a stay-the-same weigh in this week.

25/5 12st 7lb
1/6 12st 4lb
8/6 12st 2lb
15/6 12st 0lb
22/6 12st 0lb

Hoping the ☀️ this week will help with motivation & lead me to more salads & not ice creams.

Innitogether · 22/06/2020 11:58

a 1/2 stone weight loss is great @Straysocks! I'm hoping to lose 2 stone by September (taking me to 10st 13lb) then I want to get to under 10st by Christmas. My ultimate aim is 9st 9lb, as someone else pointed out it's single digits. For my 5'4" height (and going by my 20's - 30's weight) a healthy weight for me would be between 8st 2lb - 9st 10lb

Innitogether · 22/06/2020 12:07

PS - the fancy graph is from my Nutracheck app. It used to be Boots Diets, which I liked a lot, then it became Nutracheck. I think you can see weekly loss in MFP too - community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10627120/for-those-tracking-calories-by-weekly-totals-where-do-you-find-these-numbers

Innitogether · 22/06/2020 12:11

Doh! that isn't the Nutracheck graph! I have fancy scales that link to an app on my phone. Scales are these - www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07HH6DJHH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21&ie=UTF8

and the app is Feelfit

Straysocks · 22/06/2020 16:41

@Innitogether Thanks for the info and I love the look of those scales too. I haven't really explored MFP too much, will check out my own fancy graph! Thanks for the interest though, I feel like I'm on the right track and the support helps you stay on it. See you back here next Monday. Good luck one & all.

DollyPartons · 22/06/2020 18:16

Splendid losses! For those struggling, hope you have fantastic week.

Mines awful in that I'm still 13.13! I'm tracking now on mfp. 1300 Cal's a day. I just don't know where I'm going wrong. I wouldn't mind if I was chomping away but I'm not 😭

MillieMoodle · 24/06/2020 07:47

Well done @wizzler @Trandafire @Innitogether @Straysocks great losses!

I've hung around the 12st 4lbs mark all last week, which is 1lb down from the week before. Yesterday and today I have weighed myself (I promised myself I wouldn't do it every day Blush) and have been 12st 2.6lbs both times. If that's accurate then that is 7.4lbs off since starting 5 weeks ago. Hoping to get to 12st by next Monday!

MillieMoodle · 24/06/2020 07:51

@DollyPartons I've had a couple of weeks like that where it's not really changed despite me eating much less. What are you eating? I think it only works for me if I don't eat any crisps at all, and only very occasionally have chocolate/cake. Even a little bit seems to affect my weight, even if it's within my calorie allowance.

Innitogether · 24/06/2020 07:58

Great news @MillieMoodle. I’m also weighing everyday and am up a pound since Monday. This is useful for me as I’m also tracking my food intake, and while I am sticking to 1200 cals, I have been eating carby, sugary foods this week and am aware that I need to sort that out.

I’ve read an article today about overweight people, particularly women, being more susceptible to dementia. The example of obesity was a 5’4” woman (me) being over 12st (also me) and being overweight between (10st - 12st). I‘m spurred on and off to do a long walk by the river now. Have a great day everyone 🙂

I’m so frustrated! I was working the other weekend so didn’t do a long run that weekend. I lost that week.
Did a long run and ate the same last week and gained!!
I’m on holiday this week for first time since February so have relaxed things it keeping active. Went for short run this morning and melted 🥵
Well done everyone
