Fuck, I've literally ate my way through the last four weeks.

I was already a couple of stone overweight and now I've done loads more damage. All I do is eat and then eat some more.

I'm going to sort my shit out starting tomorrow, anyone else want to join me?

@JonHammIsMyJamm I know what you mean about catching your face off guard. Even worse did was giving me a makeover and her mirror was at tummy height so I had to sit admiring my sack of potatoes for 30 mins

OwlinaTree · 22/04/2020 11:04

What a nightmare @diege! We had a similar event recently where my son left the taps running in the sink with the plug in - water pouring through the kitchen ceiling!! Luckily no plumber required. Hope you get it sorted.

Feeling a little more positive today. Scrambled egg and fruit and yoghurt for breakfast. Just about to have coffee number 3!

diege · 22/04/2020 11:36

Thanks for your sympathies! Bloody expensive business, but fingers crossed it won't reoccur. Generally I cope quite well with being the only adult in the house, but at 2am I could really have done with another grown up!
I've just finished a work zoom meeting - couldn't stop looking at my jowly face! Blush

ImperfectTents · 22/04/2020 11:51

All zoom meeting must be conducted lying on your back

diege · 22/04/2020 13:04

imperfect absolutely! Grin
Have a Skype one at 1.30....if it's not my jowls it's my roots!
Have managed quite well with lunch. Last night's leftover gnocchi with pasta sauce, one rich T, one shortcake biscuit. Still feel hungry though which doesn't bode well!
Hope everyone's ok!

helenb706 · 22/04/2020 13:27

Hi all... please may I join? I've been using the fact that I don't have to meet anyone as an excuse to let myself go. Had a zoom call yesterday and wouldn't turn the light on... needs sorting.

ImperfectTents · 22/04/2020 13:47

Hi @helenb706 welcome, do you have a strategy?

helenb706 · 22/04/2020 14:02

Fear of release from lockdown and facing the world! Being serious, I have used a pandemic as an excuse to drink far too much wine at a time I should be trying to be healthy. Always been slim although ballooned during pregnancy. Now hit the menopause and piling it on... I walk the dogs and have started cycling everyday and generally eat very healthily until the wine comes out, then all bets are off. Sort the wine out and I think it will all fall into place. So far had a handful of blueberries with a teaspoon of Greek yogurt and now having 4 Ryvita with cottage cheese and Branston, whilst I polish my halo!

goingtokickthisweight · 22/04/2020 15:06

I've been on self destruct with weight gain recently hoping this is the start of turning things around

ImperfectTents · 22/04/2020 15:18

@helenb706 the wine is a real killer. My weight stayed the same while I was off the booze but rocketed when I went back on

meow1989 · 22/04/2020 15:52

I'm not feeling optimistic for tomorrow: been snacking in chocolate, nachos, biscuits I've made 😔

AutumnNymph · 22/04/2020 18:29

Everyone stop scoffing - its Weighing day eve. As I am a late riser, here is your day before weigh in reminder and spread sheet link - docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1tt7Lk17S-nP8SS-G8Ue6_R2cF3dNI7aLZr0wgH90zgk/edit#gid=0

Please enter your weights in pounds tomorrow under the 23rd April column and you should see Week 1 in Loss section automatically update.

I am not wildly optimistic about tomorrow While I have been good yesterday and today, it's been hit and miss otherwise.

Day 1 of summer term homeschooling has been surprisingly good for breaking my snack habit. Long may it last.

goingtokickthisweight · 22/04/2020 19:34

I've just added myself to the spreadsheet I hope that's ok?
don't think ill of lost as only done 2 days Grin.
Good luck for tomorrow everybody.

diege · 22/04/2020 19:52

helen I know exactly what you mean about the menopause. I've always been slim too, even after 6 kids, but I'm 50 next month and have put on 2 stone in a year 😩
autumn thank you for the pep talk! (and the wonderful spreadsheet!) Think I've held it together today but the next few hours when I'm at my weakest will tell!

HairyMaclary · 22/04/2020 20:05

Mixed feelings about weigh in day tomorrow, I’ve been at my calorie goal all week, it’s quite generous, I’m starting slowly!

However DS made chocolate cookies today - not helpful, I had 4. Pulled it back with a sensible evening meal but I fear while my calories may be ok my food choices leave much to be desired!

Chinks123 · 22/04/2020 20:29

I’ve added myself to the spreadsheet (I think) I’m hopeful about the weigh in tomorrow. I’ve managed under 1100 calories every day but it has mostly been carbs, which isnt the right calories I suppose. A lot of bagels..rice..cereal but no snacks at all except fruit Sad
I’m about to do my online work out and ignore the Bakewell tarts in my cupboard. Why on earth did I buy them?

Minnie123456 · 22/04/2020 22:23

Not feeling hopeful for tomorrow, snacking has not been great this week. I've been feeling quite down this week thinking about my Nanny who passed away in February and when i'm feeling emotional I eat.
I did manage a small walk yesterday (trying to teach dd how to ride her bikeHmm ) went for a walk today and did dd's pe exercises with her ( I am so unfit Blush )
I set up MFP again, bit depressing seeing that i'd put on over a stone since I last logged inBlush I have uninstalled it again as I remembered I don't like the setup of mfp so i've set up Samsung Health on my phone.

redavocado · 22/04/2020 23:08

I'm also not too hopeful for tomorrow. My strategy so far has been hope for the best! We're out of creme eggs so I guess that's a start...

Vilt · 22/04/2020 23:24

Another one not hopeful for tomorrow. I'm pretty sure I've gained. Can't seem to stop eating Sad

diege · 23/04/2020 06:51

Morning everyone! Just stood on the scales and I've lost 3 pounds!!!! Very pleased, and it's spurred me on to keep going, especially with the exercise. May have a sneaky creme egg later to celebrate 😊😊😊

HairyMaclary · 23/04/2020 07:15

Woohoo! Well done diege! Smile

I’ve also lost 4.1lbs, am very pleased. I might carry this in for another week now!

TimeForChange123 · 23/04/2020 07:18

Yep. I think for me it's because there's nothing else to look forward to in a day apart from eating something lovely.

diege · 23/04/2020 07:18

High 5 Hairy!!!!!

MarkingTimeIm59 · 23/04/2020 07:22

Oh heck. Well at least it wasn’t a gain Blush - not quite 1lb here.
Must do better.

Onthebrink67 · 23/04/2020 07:32

Brilliant @diege and @HairyMaclaryy. Just over a pound for me which is probably fair. I’m doing quite well upping my activity a bit but food is still my comfort. Must go better
