Morning, thought I would start a new thread for March as it has been such a good thread again in February. I think the supportive atmosphere really helps us all. I'm hoping to be dead on 9stone by the end of March, currently 9st3.25 (total loss of 8 pounds).

Porpoises · 12/03/2020 22:56

Good day for me, traveled to an interesting client meeting. Not the healthiest food day but I enjoyed my croissant and cake, made some nutritious choices too. Feel pleased that my overall diet is better than last year, so that I'm having the sweet things in the context of an overall healthy week.

Porpoises · 12/03/2020 23:01

@Octopus37 can you plan some really tasty healthy meals and snacks? Seems like you want to shake things up a bit, might be good to have things to look forward to.

I love fruit with yoghurt, can have all sorts of variations.

Porpoises · 12/03/2020 23:05

That's a good amount of steps @Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket

Heygirlheyboy · 13/03/2020 07:43

So I havethink had a bad few days.... scales says 5lb weight gain since Mon?!?!? Horrified. Didn't go to town to that extent if that's even possible.

Heygirlheyboy · 13/03/2020 09:48

Onwards I go despite that land this morning!!
25g porridge on water with blueberries
2 scrambled eggs
Mushroom soup for lunch
Ratatouille with halloumi and salad
4 mile walk
Fruit/nuts/greek yoghurt if needed.

Porpoises · 13/03/2020 10:03

Good effort hey girl, that sounds a good day plan.

Porpoises · 13/03/2020 10:04

I'm still 72kg, pleased that I can maintain there and it wasn't just a fluke.

Heygirlheyboy · 13/03/2020 10:14

Well done. I'm freaked out by my gain. Will wait till Monday to weigh again and hope it sorts itself!!

TheHoundsofLove · 13/03/2020 10:26

Sorry for not posting all week - it's been hectic.
Hey You won't have put on the 5lbs - most of it will just be fluid retention. Hold your nerve!
I've stayed static - haven't put anything back on but haven't lost anything either. Which I guess is quite a positive thing really, especially as I haven't been particularly trying food wise at all. But, I am back on track now and still have another half a stone in my sights!
Happy Friday everyone! Smile

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 13/03/2020 14:39

@Heygirlheyboy don't freak out, think of your total loss since you started dieting rather than the weekly number and just go back to your plan. It could be water retention etc... too so just keep going!
I'm not feeling well today (sore throat - so much for all that hand washing!) But so far sticking with it. Tomorrow will be my first weigh in since I started.

Heygirlheyboy · 13/03/2020 14:46

Thanks guys. I'll be honest, I was close to slashing the tyres!-I got such a fright. I will make an extra effort in the hope of getting back on track quickly.

winterisstillcoming · 13/03/2020 17:25

@Heygirlheyboy hang in there. It sound like fluid retention. Are you stressed at all? My body won't let go of weight if I'm stressed or sleep deprived. Maybe some dandelion tea and an early night?

I weighed in at 9'7 today. Am so chuffed especially after self sabotaging by eating pizza last night.

I'm in healthy BMI and the lowest I've been for a few years.

I'm in the process of clearing out my wardrobes as well so I've been rediscovering some old faves so I'm inspired!

The next bit is going to be hard - the slog. Just got to keep going. I'm hungry right now as I've been eating as little as I can as I'm going out tonight for dinner. I've convinced my friend that we should just grab sushi so hopefully I'll come in my calorie target. I'll eat my exercise calories though.

We are eating out tomorrow too so planning to burn 500 calories while taking my son to his golf lesson so I can order something nice.

Hope you all have a great weekend planned

Heygirlheyboy · 13/03/2020 17:51

Well done winter! That's a great feeling. I had been sleeping great but not so good last few nights and yes a bit stressed. Apart from that thougg my stomach felt full still! I'm calling it a day at just over 1000cals and I'm not hungry so hopefully I'll repair the damage!

Heygirlheyboy · 13/03/2020 18:36

Jordan who ? Can't remember surname and want to swot up a bit!

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 13/03/2020 19:36

Well done @winterisstillcoming! I don't think I've been that weight since I was about 16 🙃 and it's great you are in the healthy BMI.
I'm calling it a day at just over 1600 calories (in my loose 1lb a week range according to mfp) and about 9000 steps. Fingers crossed that I've lost some weight when I get up tomorrow! First week I should at least have list some water!!

Octopus37 · 13/03/2020 19:52

Well done Winter. It gets difficult doesn't it, hang on in there Heygirl. Not doing that well myself at the moment, still not feeling 100% two weeks on so just want carby stuff:
Breakfast - 1 and a half cereal bars (300)
Galaxy bar (229)
2 oatcakes (266)
A few crisps
To the pub with my DH (happens rarely), shared 3 bags of crisps and had 1 pint of cider)
2 left over new potatos
Have just eaten some fruit crumble, wasn't that great.
Aiming to do better tomorrow, as I said earlier in the week I think this week is a maintenance week, but have lost just over 2 pounds in March so quite pleased.

Heygirlheyboy · 13/03/2020 20:21

You're managing to lose/maintain tho Octopus.. well done and thanks for the solidarity.

winterisstillcoming · 13/03/2020 22:49

Thank you @Octopus37 @Heygirlheyboy @Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket. Got to to take the highs with lows.

Octopus. Well done on mitigation. That's equally as difficult as losing so get back to it when you're ready.

I think the inevitable disruption to our routine over the next few weeks is going to be challenging but we have just got to look after ourselves.

I've lapsed in taking vitamins so need to get back to taking those. I've run out of berroca so need to grab some.

Keep going everyone x

Porpoises · 13/03/2020 23:11

Another bike ride this evening :) Really glad of the better weather.

Notsoleanbean · 13/03/2020 23:25

Hi everyone, well done on getting through another day.
I think my body is holding onto the weight because of stress too. Haven’t weighed myself again yet, trying to wait at least a week in between so I don’t becomes fixated on it.
Food today was:
B - Smoothie (100m almond milk, 1/3 protein pot yoghurt, 5 strawberries, 1level tbsp of almond butter & chia seeds)
L - Chicken salad (roasted chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, 1/3 medium Avo)
D - Thai curry with cauliflower rice

Slacked on water though today. I think I am now made out of tea.

Wishing you all look as we go into the weekend.

Igglepigglesgrubbyblanket · 14/03/2020 07:50

Just did my first weigh in - I've lost 6lbs! Whoop! Still a lot overweight and half of it is probably water, but I needed the encouragement. Today's plan is:
B bacon, egg and tomatoes
L apple and peanut butter
D going out for someone's birthday so a treat of some sort (probably over calories)
Good luck today everyone!

Porpoises · 14/03/2020 08:12

Well done iggle that's great
