Ha! @chrispenrallt1 I work from home too so in office sometimes until midnight but love my work even though some days I struggle to manage even 2000 steps. I'm excited to be making Floozy Flan and am having that for lunch. Probably pork chop with green veg for dinner but no actual plan yet.

Tryingtwo · 03/02/2020 13:23

Ecci I hope the operation worked and I wish you a speedy recovery Flowers. We'll celebrate when any of us reach the 12's however long it takes.

Tryingtwo · 03/02/2020 14:04

Just caught up with the recent posts. Somesortofzilla I was going to congratulate you on 8.5lbs loss and then realised it was kilos, which if I converted correctly is 18.7lbs! What a phenomenal start that is amazing so mega congratulations! Also I'm glad you had such an enjoyable weekend after the stress of court.
*JessJonesJumps hope mini JJJ feels better soon and that you don't catch it!
Hello to chrispenrallt1 and welcome back cobwebandcornices

Tryingtwo · 03/02/2020 14:07

Sorry I spelt your name wrong cobwebsoncornices - I was scrolling up to check and I caught the post button.

Tryingtwo · 03/02/2020 14:09

Also bold fail for JessJonesJumps - sorry.

Egghead68 · 03/02/2020 15:46

Some great losses.

Just documenting today's overeating which I put down to tiredness:

Choc marzipan (480 cals) Choc muffin (480) 2 choc biscuits (180) fruit salad (130), Cashew Curry (410 in the end), Bao bun (200). 1880 cals.

Really going to have to hit the exercise tonight.

Juliette20 · 03/02/2020 16:04

Down to 188 from 191 in January. A least one eighty something sounds better than one ninety something. Doing WW Purple now.

Juliette20 · 03/02/2020 16:17

Toast and peanut butter, coffee with oatmilk (216)

Prawn cocktail, crunchy veg, slices of mango, strawberries (406)

Dinner will be half a (big) sweet potato, baked beans, cheese and broccoli (390)

MotherOfDragonite · 03/02/2020 18:12

B: Half a bagel with a boiled egg on top (and loads of Tabasco sauce!)
L: Oat milk flat white, banana (I work straight through on some days)
D: Omelette with courgette, mushroom & red pepper, sweet potato

Looking at that list I can see I'm a bit short on my five a day! I probably need to have some kind of fruit or veg with my breakfast really, but for today I'll snack on some cucumber and tomatoes in the evening I think.

I'm doing really badly on drinking water. I basically forget all day at work because it gets so busy.

@Onesmallstep67 Thank you! This thread feels like a really nice place to be, very encouraging and supportive.

MotherOfDragonite · 03/02/2020 19:06

Ok, fixed it with a salad and then fruit salad for pudding!

SunsetBoulevard3 · 03/02/2020 19:10

Any good sources for low calorie main meals? I am on day three of diet but need some inspiration for meals!

Onesmallstep67 · 03/02/2020 20:15

Just a quick check in. I was 15st 4lbs again this morning but I have had an odd couple of days food wise. No TOTM for 7 weeks now and not been feeling particularly premenstrual. But now it seems to have kicked in. So eating rubbish even though I am not actually hungry. Too much snacking and not enough proper food/meals. Hopefully damage will be minimal tomorrow and /or TOTM comes and I can begin to feel less bloated.

Ihatesundays · 03/02/2020 20:28

Late update. Weight jumped back up. Hopefully a temporary blip!

Egghead68 · 03/02/2020 20:37

Counteracted some of my caloriefest in the gym. Now I ache but bizarrely feel less knackered than I have done all day.

ValentineFizz · 03/02/2020 21:15

Hi all, some great progress being made here ladies!

So after starting at 10st 11lb on 6th January I made the 7lb target by end of the month reaching 10st 4lb, with an inch off my waist.

I think it might be ambitious to achieve that again in February but will certainly give it a shot, so aiming for 9st 11lb be end of the month. Ultimate goal is to get back under 9 and half stone so will be happy if I can hit that by end of March. I'm calorie counting - everything on MFP, doing some 16:8, cut down on takeaways and just started exercising a couple of times per week again too.

So much support on here, you guys really keep me accountable and I love seeing how everyone is doing Star

JessJonesJumps · 03/02/2020 22:21

@Tryingtwo thanks for the well wishes. Mini JJJ disappeared after dinner and I found him curled up fast asleep in my bed. He's still sleeping now so either his illness has exhausted him or he's going to be up all night Confused

I didn't eat too much today.
B: plum
L: homemade chicken noodle soup
D: sausage roll and salad
Snacks: rice cake, mini mars bar

Eating window was bigger than I'd have liked but I'll see if that impacts my weight. I put a new battery into my scales today either the error messages will disappear or I definitely need new scales.

DandyAF · 04/02/2020 00:15

Hello all! I’m joining you properly today (well, technically lasted at now). I started by joining WW using @cricketmum84’s code - cheers for that Smile

I started trying to lose weight on 1st Jan. My NY resolution goal was to keep up a diet & fitness plan throughout 2020.

I saw the January thread when it started I love that the concept of these thread is so simple, realistically achievable and welcoming. such a simple and reasonable goal -7l s per month, any way, excellent.I kept meaning to sign up to this thread but never got around to it Blush I did have flu for much of January though. As always happens when I’m run down and tired, my sweet tooth was raging.

So when I weighed myself today I was pleasantly surprised to see I’d lost 2lbs in January. Bit much but I’ll take it!

I’m counting my losses from the 1st Jan. I feel I was on the Jan version of this thread in spirit if not in practise 😉

DandyAF · 04/02/2020 00:46

Accidentally posted too soon. And posted something rather incomprehensible Hmm

So down to the nitty gritty.

Start Date: 01/01/20
Goal: To lose 35kg (77 pounds)
Jan loss: 0.9kg (2lbs)

I really love the new WW plan and app! ! Im on Blue plan and having the no point good seems so much easier than the WW plan 18 years ago, The app has nicked quite a few of the same features of MFP and seems like the best of both worlds.

The one thing I’m quite despondent about however, the thing that I didn’t like about WW 18 years ago, is the reliance of low calorie food with sweeteners. Yuck. I found some great recipes but they use sweetener Angry I can’t stand the taste. And I will never be interested in buying WW versions of anything. I’d rather eat less of the ‘proper’ version. So it’s going to be harder than if I gave in and submitted to artificial yuckeners sweeteners BUT I NEVER WILL. (This is a bugbear, can you tell?)

DownUdderer · 04/02/2020 05:19

I’m up 2lbs and my dress today felt tight! Argh! The cupcakes from my weekend have caught up with me. I’m trying to be strict today. I’m trying to drink heaps of water. I’m trying to get focused, but honestly after Christmas I just have been so half hearted.

Juliette20 · 04/02/2020 05:25

I never buy actual WW foods, @DandyAF. What is the Blue plan like?

lboogy · 04/02/2020 05:56

Sadly it's period week and I've already binged. I did get in 16k steps on Monday but I've got all the holiday weight to loose. This week lots of work stuff so many many temptations in my path 😔 I must resist

chrispenrallt1 · 04/02/2020 06:20

Just back from walking the dog, in the dark with my head torch on. So that’s 2000 steps towards my 10000. All a bit of a shock to the system after 2 weeks holiday. Loads of office work today !
I’ve got my food planned out and I’m just sipping a coffee with a teaspoon of cream. I think I am going to use. Friday as my weigh in day although I started on Monday 3 rd, after not bothering with the scales for so long I hope I can stick to weighing weekly as daily weighing for me can make me very depressed if the scales go the wrong way!
Hi tryingtwo, love the name!
Reckless gran, yes getting stuck in the office certainly stuffs up the steps, but I do get out with the dog so that helps.
Today’s meals
Breakfast scrambled egg 2 plus bacon
Lunch tuna and avocado wrap using lettuce leaf
Dinner salmon with salad
I hope to drink more water today too.

looloo247 · 04/02/2020 07:03

Just read back through the post, some of your January losses were amazing!
I've just weighed after 2 days on slim fast, 0.4kg down which is good for me, I'm notoriously slow at losing weight even when I diet. My hunger levels seem to have gone down already too so hopefully I'm getting the kick start I need!

cricketmum84 · 04/02/2020 07:23

Morning all.

I must admit I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by all the positive comments about how helpful this thread is. You are all amazing and it just wouldn't be what it is without you bunch of losers 😂

Anyway enough of the mushy stuff. Haven't weighed this morning as I am (ahem) a bit bunged up again and I know it always affects the scales. Must up fibre intake today and not weigh for a couple of days.

Plan for today is:
B - watermelon and peppermint tea
L - small leftover portion of veggie chilli and quinoa with a sprinkle of chia seeds
D - veggie Thai red curry and jasmine rice - DD (15) is cooking. She is an aspiring future chef and her Thai curries are legendary so I can't wait!!

Have a great Tuesday everyone. Off for a day full of meetings including a nerve wracking one where I need to report a teams multiple failings to their team manager which I'm feeling a little nervous about!!

Will catch up with the thread properly before I go into work :)

Morning. 64.7kg. Feeling good after a decent night’s sleep. Only stumbling block today is that the office is full of chocolate biscuits.

Plan
B: Bao buns 400 cals
S: 2 chocolate biscuits 180
L: Cashew curry 410
D: stir fry 200 fruit 130
Circuits class
