15st 5 lbs this morning so not too horrendous. But having seen 15st 3lbs for a day last week I want to get back to there asap. Last week's drop and lack of appetite was partly down to horrible anxiety and realising that new man and I are probably over.
But onwards and downwards.

Tryingtwo · 04/02/2020 09:39

Good morning all, I weighed this morning and pre-shower I was up 0.8lbs but post shower that 0.8 had gone plus a further 0.8lbs - I wasn't that dirty, promise!
I'll count today as sts.

DownUdderer · 04/02/2020 09:51

I’ve been out for an evening walk, I managed 10k steps. I’ve been super good today. No cheese, low carbs, lots of veggies and lots of water.

JessJonesJumps · 04/02/2020 09:51

I'm 1.2lbs down since yesterday which may be a blip, or may be because I put a new battery in the scales or may be because it's TOTM. I don't have much of an appetite today so I'll try to focus on drinking lots of water.

Vebrithien · 04/02/2020 10:47

Morning all! I found you again!

I'm still maintaining at 92kg, and am currently sitting and waiting for my 15 week reassurance scan. Have a recognisable pregnancy bump, rather than the tummy I had this time last year.
Also, all of the 12 week screening results came back as low risk, so fingers crossed that the scan is good today.
Lovely to catch up on how you are all doing. It's sunny here (and the groundhog predicted that spring will be coming early), so hoping that the improved weather will help everyone's spirits.
Take care all!

KedsAndTubeSocks · 04/02/2020 11:01

Morning Veb. I was wondering how you were getting on. Hope all is good with the scan.

Egghead68 · 04/02/2020 11:21

Thanks for the lovely update @vebrithien!

JessJonesJumps · 04/02/2020 11:29

great news about the screening results. Good luck for the scan.

Tryingtwo · 04/02/2020 14:20

Hello Vebrithien glad everything came back as low risk and wishing you good luck with the scan.

Egghead68 · 04/02/2020 17:31

Another bad day. Was doing fine till 3pm then felt overwhelming tiredness and reached for the sugar (choc biscuit, eclair, hot cross bun). Need to get more protein and slow release carbs in me I think.

Onesmallstep67 · 04/02/2020 18:00

@Vebrithien lovely to hear your update. Hope that the scan went well. Flowers

Vebrithien · 04/02/2020 18:49

Evening all!
Scan went really well, but has been a marathon of a day, as the clinic was running 2 and a half hours late! Quite tricky to judge how full to let my bladder get Confused

But, everything is looking good, the consultant had a really good look (Mini-V kept their legs hidden for almost the entire time!), could see so many features. Also saw Mini-V waving and holding the side of their head (DD did this in utero, and has one sticky out ear, that we think she would hold onto!). Given how long the consultant spent having a look, and she was happy, I hope this bodes well for the anomaly scan.

Still a long way to go, but 9 weeks until potential viability! Taking each day as it comes.

Vebrithien · 04/02/2020 18:50

Can post a pic, if anyone would like?

recklessgran · 04/02/2020 19:09

@Vebrithien that's great news - thanks for updating us and well done on your weight maintenance. Bless mini-v hiding it's bits and pieces.
I am drowning in work and it's looking like another 16 hour day for me today. I've been snacking at my desk this afternoon. I ate a slice of ham, a small handful of pecans and 2 squares of dark chocolate. Oh well, better than toast which would be my usual desk snack before I joined this thread. I've just had bacon and eggs so although not a very healthy choice at least I've stayed off the carbs.[I did eye up the biscuit tin but didn't cave in.] A distinct lack of salad/veg/anything remotely healthy today but will try harder tomorrow. Have at least been getting the water down. I am definitely noticing a bigger drop weight wise the more water I drink.
@Onesmallstep67 sorry about your man but well done on keeping on with the weight loss. It will pay off in the end.

KedsAndTubeSocks · 04/02/2020 19:51

I'd love to see a pic @Vebrithien!

I walked round a supermarket this afternoon, feeling quite peckish, but managed not to buy & scoff a family sized bar of chocolate, as I would have done a couple of months ago! Well done me!

Egghead68 · 04/02/2020 20:29

Excellent news @Vebrithien! Yes picture please!

DandyAF · 04/02/2020 22:03

Day 2 on WW.

Is it okay to spend half your daily points allowance on mojitos? Asking for a friend.

cricketmum84 · 04/02/2020 22:29

@Vebrithien pic please!!!! So so happy to hear the positive update a it you and mini V!

@DandyAF that's what points are there for 😂

Good going @KedsAndTubeSocks

I have a bit of a moral dilemma this evening if anyone wants to give their opinion!

A. Stay in temp role on a project with salary of £36k, love the company and the people but pissed right off that it's bonus month and the person I'm covering who is on May leave gets huge bonus for performance yet I'm the one doing her job for last 6 months. (No bonus for contractors) temp role is to end in June.

B. New permanent role on 40k. Step up but I'm more than qualified and experienced. Local to home. Means leaving the team
In current temp role mid project and up shoe creek.

DH says I should prioritise myself. I feel guilty!

Pics would be lovely Verb !

cricket go for option B. You can't sacrifice a permanent role for a temporary one and no-one would expect you to. Depending on whether B needs an immediate start or will allow a notice period, you might be able to do a handover of A to a new temp. B sounds like a fab opportunity- exciting times!

JessJonesJumps · 04/02/2020 22:41

Also having been in a similar position once (but with two permanent roles) I chose my equivalent of A and it was the wrong choice. With hindsight, it was obvious I should have chosen B. Work is such an important part of life. Don't leave yourself with what-ifs.

DownUdderer · 04/02/2020 22:45

Cricket take the permanent role!

Congrats @Vebrithien! I had been thinking of u!

I’m down a couple of pounds, I must have wee’d it away after drinking loads of water!!

ploughingthrough · 04/02/2020 22:54

Hello lovelies. I'm at exactly 69 kg this morning so a small loss since Feb began. I haven't managed any exercise other than walking as DH away so I can't get away from the kids in the evening . He's back Thursday so will pick it up then. I also had a birthday brunch on Sunday for a friend which was amazing but I def overate so at least I didn't gain from that!
Well done everyone so many impressive stories.

Egghead68 · 04/02/2020 22:59

I’d go for option B @cricketmum84. Your current team will understand that you can’t pass up the permanent role and will find a way to cope.

DandyAF · 04/02/2020 23:09

cricket take B. It’s the best thing for you for several reasons, including that the rules around using contractors effectively as employers are getting really tight in April. Possibly not applicable to you but a lot of companies are starting to cut back on the number of contractors they use. So as a perm position (better money AND the right to paid holiday!) has come up, Is jump at it.

Tryingtwo · 05/02/2020 00:48

cricketmum84, my view would definitely be B even if the salaries were the same. Permanent is better than temporary and who can say what opportunities will be available by the end of your contract - bird in the hand and all that.
