baguette I have a snack at 11 as that's when my break is , lunch at 1.15 and then dinner about 6. The only time I feel hungry is when I get in about 4.30 so I just keep myself busy or have an exciting apple until dinner.

@7Worfs Fingers crossed for the next interview, I am in the angsty bit of wondering wether to apply for a new job with a lot more responsibility . Today is decision day !

cricketmum84 · 12/11/2019 08:33

@Baguetteaboutit up until my hangry day yesterday I would say I've got used to just 2 meals or sometimes just 1 and a snack per day but I was starving by 9 yesterday! Maybe hormones? Or just feeling like I should feel hungry as I've changed up the diet? I'm back in the office today so the routine should help.

@Baguetteaboutit, I've been doing largely 16:8 for months now and part of it is accepting being hungry for a while IME. I'm not usually starving though and I was really really bad at not allowing myself to ever feel hungry before! It's only a couple of hours. I Try to eat high fat, high protein foods when I do eat - carbs definitely make me hungrier. Part of the point of 16:8 is to switch between feast and famine to avoid the slowdown of your metabolism which happens with low fat, low calorie diets. I read an article by Michael Mosley explaining how it all works early on, I'll see if I can find it later. I still drink tea with milk in my fasted window so technically not a 'clean' fast but still works for me.

On that note, I had a much better day yesterday and dropped back down to 12.1 this morning so onwards and upwards/downwards!
Hope you are ok and safe @DownUdderer, must be very scary.

7Worfs · 12/11/2019 09:01

Thank you for the support, all 🤗

@DownUdderer I hope all will be well in your area. Is it the eucalyptus trees? They are so highly flammable.

@Baguetteaboutit my eating window is 8am to 5pm and I fit in three meals and fruit snacks, so I don’t feel hungry. Two meals wouldn’t be enough for me.

@Howlongtillbedtime you absolutely should apply! It’s s cliche now, but it’s true that women apply for jobs if they meet 100% of the criteria and have done it all before. Men apply if they meet about 50% and think they’ll learn how to do the rest.
Plus job ads describe some imaginary perfect candidate, that if found, will ask for too much money anyway!

Egghead68 · 12/11/2019 09:36

Just blown all my calories on a 220g bag of nuts. Now have to try to fast the rest of the day ...

MilesJuppIsMyBitch · 12/11/2019 12:21

Afternoon all!

I'm not managing to post every day atm, but I am reading along & cheering you all from the sidelines.

Finally shifted my cold (TWO WEEKS!), so I'm back on my 18:6.

The weekend is where I typically fall down, so I'm going to focus on a thirteen hour overnight fast Fri/Sat/Sun.

Good luck with the mince pie resistance!

Baguetteaboutit · 12/11/2019 13:52

Wait, I have a loophole for you Egghead

Egghead68 · 12/11/2019 14:37

Oh amazing!!! Thanks @Baguetteaboutit !!

On a slightly related topic, on one of those "the truth about" BBC programmes, they said that foods like bread and pasta have many fewer calories if you freeze and reheat them before eating, due to changes in the digestibility of the starch or something.

WoollyFoolly · 12/11/2019 19:06

Oh I heard that too egg, I haven't tried it out yet though.
Had a good day today, I've had pea & ham soup for lunch and teriyaki chicken for tea.

I bought some dairy free chai latte powder from our local health foodie type shop (was pondering turmeric latte as well) and tried some but it made me feel quite queasy. Weird as I quite liked the taste but it was very coconutty (made with coconut milk).
Humph, it was expensive too!

DownUdderer · 12/11/2019 20:57

Thank you kind friends for thinking of us! That’s warmed my heart. We’re safe, my area is safe. It was a bit nerve wracking! I’ll be back again later. X

cricketmum84 · 12/11/2019 22:02

Ah that's a relief @DownUdderer has the threat passed now then?

I'm 10 points under today! Weigh in in the morning...

Really really enjoyed my tea tonight, veggie sausage, fakon, scrambled egg and roasted cherry tomatoes (my mushrooms had gone a bit off). Absolutely delicious!

Ihatesundays · 12/11/2019 22:33

Back on 16:8 today. Ate a scone though...

HollyTheHarrier · 12/11/2019 22:34

That sounds delicious @cricketmum84

Pretty good day. Had to go to the shop to get salmon and I accidentally bought some chocolate while I was there. But all in all am within calories and had a pretty healthy balanced day. And I don’t feel hungry!

DownUdderer · 12/11/2019 22:43

I think for our area, the fire threat has reduced massively today. What a relief!
I had lost two pounds this morning! I think I must have sweated it off yesterday!

But I tried on some jean shorts today and they fit (with a bit of a muffin top) I’m so happy I can’t begin to describe it! Honestly a week or ten days ago I was nowhere near being able to get them to do up! I’ll add a photo if I can figure it out.

DownUdderer · 12/11/2019 22:44

Really not the best photo because it was too bright in my bedroom this morning! But I’m literally jumping with joy!

Egghead68 · 12/11/2019 22:54

Excellent result @Downudderer! I am glad your area is safe.

cricketmum84 · 13/11/2019 07:13

Day 13!

Unlucky for some as I'm back up to 19 this morning WTAF??? God knows how that has happened. The only thing I didn't track in the last 2 days was ONE wispa bite. ONE! I'm pretty fed up today.

Plan for today is:

Am - Nescafé gingerbread latte
L - carrot and ginger soup
D - quorn chilli with rocket salad and a little violife cheese

Off to stomp around a little and be grumpy.

Hope everyone has a more successful day than me!

Howlongtillbedtime · 13/11/2019 07:54

Morning all
@cricketmum84 fingers crossed you get a whoosh soon.
@DownUdderer Congrats on the shorts and hurrah for the fires buggering off .
@7Worfs There is so much truth in that , I work with a man who has told me he is going to apply and he is definitely not ready. I am going to speak to someone today and make my decision but I do think I am going to go for it.

Another good day planned today and I am pleased with myself for not caving in to the rubbish while it's my TOTM. Normally I would use it as an excuse .

Good luck to all for today.

FashionFoodLaughs · 13/11/2019 08:33

Well I bit the bullet and weighed after an extended half term of indulgence and am 10.13 so I’ll take that. My happy weight is 10.10 so hoping to get to that by the end of November as I have a ridiculous amount of Christmas events!
Plan for today:
Pre breakfast run (already in my kit)
B - porridge with mashed banana and protein powder
L - unknown maybe poached eggs on toast
D - pasta bake with lots of veg

DownUdderer · 13/11/2019 08:36

I’ve been out for my walk around the block, just under 10,000 steps, so I’m happy with that.

The next item of clothing I’d love to fit into is my shirt dress. I’ve worn it once before and then never been able to fit into it again!

Result I have now lost a stone since Oct 8th! I am officially normal weight not overweight as per my health check on Oct 8 but want to lose half a stone more to get to my target.

Egghead68 · 13/11/2019 09:08

70.1kg today which is up Sad.

Having another mainly nut day.

Seems this thread is a magnet for spammers at the moment!

Egghead68 · 13/11/2019 09:10

Excellent work @MsTSwift!

Tryingtwo · 13/11/2019 09:32

Congratulations on getting in your jeans downudderer.
Today is my weigh in day and I have lost another 2.2lbs which brings my loss since 18th Sept to (just) over 1.5 stones so I'm motivated today.
