Morning everyone and welcome to 🥗 Day 8 🥗

Down to 19.0 this morning so another pound off ;) so far this month is going a lot better than October! Fingers crossed it continues!

Welcome @orangina it's never too late to join!

German Market day today! Whoop! So excited for Christmas food and a couple of beers. I was going to indulge in a mulled wine but then remembered just how high in sugar it is! Just need to decide whether I'm going for a hot slice of garlic bread, potato pancakes with garlic sauce or an onion Rose!

Will be some plain fish and salad tonight if I'm still hungry.

Hope everyone has a lovely Friday!

@Vebrithien oh gosh I can't believe you are still ill! You must be so fed up of it now,

Have you tried any supplements to give your immune system a bit of a boost? Vitamin C and Zinc are particularly good x

Egghead68 · 08/11/2019 07:24

70.8kg. Congratulations @cricketmum84 and enjoy the Christmas market!

WoollyFoolly · 08/11/2019 07:53

Well done @cricketmum84! I'm also down to 12.0 (and a bit!) this morning but am off out for curry and drinks tonight so I'm sure you will beat me to the next stone down!
Sorry to hear you are still unwell @Vebrithien, that really sucks.

7Worfs · 08/11/2019 09:22

Morningggg ☕️
cricket that’s great, it’s the de-stressing during the weekend away I think!

Veb 5 weeks! I hope it clears very soon, as cricket suggested, vitamin C boost🍊 🍋

No exercise today, but prolonged the fast to 16h this morning, and scales moved again.

I have norovirus on my work away weekend. I’d better lose some weight from it...

cricketmum84 · 09/11/2019 07:53

Good morning all and welcome to the weekend!!

18.12 this morning, that's another 2lbs off so 4lbs for November so far. I seem to have my whoosh on!

Had a lovely time at the German market yesterday. Avoided the garlic bread and just shared a portion of potato pancakes with my friend so only had 1 instead of the big portion of 3! I had a few mulled wines as the beer was sitting very heavy on my stomach after 1. Then had a seeded flatbread in the evening with a couple of gosh saag aloo bites and lots of salad and a raita made with alpro yoghurt and mint. Very tasty :)

Littlest DD has asked for a party type buffet tonight so I need to think of some low fat vegan things to put on there. I've got some gosh sweet potato bhajis in and could do some veggie sticks and another portion of the yoghurt and mint for dipping?

Hope everyone has a fab Saturday!

Fab stats, cricket
eggy are you travelling while ill? Shock

Exercised this morning, somehow 0.3kg heavier than yesterday, but it’s hopefully a blip.
Hoping for a chill day - doing laundry and preparing for next week’s job interviews.

Howlongtillbedtime · 09/11/2019 09:05

Morning all

Still behaving myself here , going to get to the gym today and do some meal planning for the week. I need to do boring housework today which I hate doing but hopefully it will keep me busy and away from the snacks.

Well done on all the losses and sorry to hear about the illnesses

WoollyFoolly · 09/11/2019 09:12

Yay @cricketmum84 you did it! Congrats on breaking another stone barrier! I have yet to drag myself onto the scales this morning, had a lovely night out with mucho wine (I very rarely drink so any more than 1 glass is a LOT for me!) and curry so am expecting to go up. Wore my new outfit and DH told me I looked amazing 🥰

WoollyFoolly · 09/11/2019 09:24

As suspected, slight increase back up to 12.1
And the babysitter from last night brought mince pies for the kids and there are 3 left....mince pies are my nemesis....

Baguetteaboutit · 09/11/2019 10:03

Morning. I fell off the radar a bit. I'm still doing yoga once a day and remained a similar weight which just kind of oscillates up and down marginally around 10 stone 11.

I don't know if it's the weather or what but I've hit the wall with motivation. I definitely won't get into the dress that I wanted for an event next week and already bought a, actually tbh much nicer, back-up outfit.

Anyway, will have porridge for breakfast, bean wraps and salad for lunch and a maybe a proper meat chilli for dinner.

cricketmum84 · 09/11/2019 10:04

@WoollyFoolly god I love mince pies. I've resisted so far this year as I'm the only one in the house who likes them which means I would have to eat all 6 before they go stale Blush

OP posts:
Baguetteaboutit · 09/11/2019 10:08

Oh Jesus, mince pies. I love mince pies. I'm going to try and hold out till the Christmas holidays before they cross the threshold. I can't operate in the house with mince pies in without thinking only of mince pies.

Egghead68 · 09/11/2019 10:31

Yes - am travelling while ill but stopped vomiting thank goodness.

Hope you are feeling better @Vebrithien.

Hang in there everyone with plateaux or slight gains.

7Worfs · 09/11/2019 12:09

Yep, mince pies are my kryptonite.

Every year my rule is I can eat one a day between 20-31Dec. I’m yet to comply with it Blush

Also Sainsbury’s put a discount voucher for a pack in my online wallet mid-October! No, I will not claim it before mid-December.

Egghead68 · 09/11/2019 13:44

Very restrained @7Worfs!

70.0kg - thanks norovirus (kind of).

DownUdderer · 10/11/2019 05:24

Sorry to hear about gastro and other illnesses hanging around.

My scales won’t shift. Well done to everyone who’s loosing.

I think I’m doing ok with food, I’m certainly not eating big portions. I could eat more veg, and perhaps I’ll focus on a veggie dinner.

I’ll have a hike tomorrow.

Egghead68 · 10/11/2019 07:35

Enjoy your hike @DownUdderer.

69.5kg today (70 barrier broken!)

Happy Sunday everyone.

Howlongtillbedtime · 10/11/2019 08:29

Morning everyone
I have weighed this morning and I am 4.5 pounds down. I love the first week loss it is always a good one Grin
It is the next weeks when it is only a pound or so down at a time that I find really tricky.

Another good day planned for today.
I made tomato soup yesterday for my lunch and I think tonight will be scandi salmon.

Good luck to everyone for today , weekends are always harder.
Well done egghead getting under the next barrier is always a good feeling.

7Worfs · 10/11/2019 08:45

eggy silver linings and all. Hope you feel better today.

I had my lowest (64.1kg) two days ago, today I’m 0.5 kg heavier. Odd but I’ve had this before, hope it’s just a random fluctuation.
A 1/3 of the month gone, lost about 1kg, so hopefully on track for 3kg end of November.

Going to London tomorrow, job interview.

makingmiracles · 10/11/2019 10:20

I had the biggest fall off the wagon since starting back on it in sept. We had planned to go to coast yesterday as there were fireworks planned for evening, we were going to take kids into town, spend some time in the arcades then have a fish and chip supper. Instead it was torrential rain and youngest dc was ill after bf so dp suggested McDonalds as a treat and then just go round local shops. HAD McDonald’s fully intending to have salad for tea but pizzas and a bottle of Asti fell in my trolley at Sainsbury’s Blush.

Safe to say I hugely regretted my choices when I awoke in the early hours with the worst acid reflux I’ve ever experienced Sad. IVe ignored my normal 16:8 this morning and had a bowl of Greek yog, berries and nuts to try help the burning feeling I’ve still got in my throat, I chucked the rest of the Asti down the sink, was not worth it at all.

Hope everyone whose been I’ll is feeling better

Can I ask what everyone’s food/diet plans are for over Xmas? Can’t make up my mind how to organise it, was thinking Xmas eve, day and Boxing Day off plan and back on it the day after Boxing Day.

Onesmallstep67 · 10/11/2019 10:56

Morning. My dip under 16 st didn't last and I have had a strange and hormonal week. I guess I am technically still perimenopausal as I get (mostly) regular periods. But at 52 it can't be much longer surely ?? So TOTM still not arrived, feel marginally better than I did mid week. Having lost 3 stone and having been pretty committed to it so far I did wonder whether a few days ' off plan' might be better for my well being. Next week is also the anniversary of my DH passing away. Several years now but still naturally a difficult time for all of us.
Hovering just over 16 st this morning. I am definitely not on target for 7lbs loss in November so I may just shift my expectations and spread out the target, 15st 7lbs until the end of the year. That would be what I weighed at the millennium. Have a great Sunday everyone
