Fab stuff Life and two holidays to look forward to is wonderful. We are going to PP again but more towards the pine walk end

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/01/2020 11:04

Lovely. Anything to look forward to is great

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/01/2020 11:06

We've stayed near there but I didn't realise that's what it was called

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/01/2020 12:19

Eaten to macros today as smashed them. Steps not so

Happierwithouthim · 13/01/2020 12:54

Winner on the steps life

Wolfcub · 13/01/2020 19:24

Steps ok. Food not so much. It's raining so hard that I can't venture out of the hotel so rather than healthyish noodle dishes it's hotel beige food.

WreckTangled · 13/01/2020 20:00

Just yoga today as a jinn a bit from yesterday. Plus it's Monday and I cba Grin

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 13/01/2020 20:24

Hi all, today it has been cold and miserable so I have eaten alllll the food!

B- croissant and coffee
L- soup, apple, satsuma and yogurt, water.
Snacks- apple pie, 2 bags of Nik-nacs, 4 lotus biscuits, 2 handfuls of popcorn
D- vegan pizza from Iceland, glass of apple juice.
I could still eat!
Steps today 12254

My youngest dd started her period today, she is only 9, so hence the junk food (not that I really need an excuse to eat junk!)

WreckTangled · 13/01/2020 20:28

Oh no curvy! Our dd's are the same age and I've been worrying dd might start soon (she's fully developed in other areas) and started developing at 8. Hope she's ok about it? It seems so young

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 13/01/2020 20:34

Yes Wreck she seems ok. She started developing a year ago, we have had lots of talks about it, but I still thought she had more time!
I haven't got round to doing her a pack of stuff for her bag, but she figured it out whilst at school today!
Proud mama!
If you haven't already Wreck can I suggest you do her a pack for her school bag, I just felt so bad that I didn't do one for my dd.
They grow up soo quickly!
My other dd was 11, so I thought she still had time!

WreckTangled · 13/01/2020 20:39

Argh ok. I haven't even had the chat really. Obviously she knows what they are because I have them but I'm not sure she's expecting it any time soon. Best get on it. Pleased she seems to be taking it so well!

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 13/01/2020 20:45

Wreck my dd will be 10 in May, when is yours 10?
I think it helps that she has a big sister that she can talk to, and I've always tried to be open and honest with them.
Dd2 asked me lots of questions, so I just took her lead on it.
There's like a general rule of thumb, from when a girl starts to develop breast buds, their first period will be roughly 18 months to 2 years after that

WreckTangled · 13/01/2020 20:54

She's 10 in June breast buds came just after her 8th birthday. I'll have a chat with her tomorrow.

lifelongfrugaleer · 13/01/2020 20:59

Oh big day in the curvy house. My DD is 12 and it really could not any time. I thought it would be about a year ago.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 13/01/2020 21:11

That's the thing isn't it life, you just don't know!
She was a bit emotional and stuff, but we had a really good chat about it all and she seems a bit more relaxed about it now.

Wreck they are really close in age then!
Sorry tmi, but my dd started to get discharge about 6 months ago too, another clue that the period could start.

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/01/2020 06:31

Down today. About 9500 steps but watch ran out of charge

Happierwithouthim · 14/01/2020 07:22

Big day curvy my dd will be 10 in April so we're all very close. She started developing breast buds about six months ago. I don't even have sanitary protection in the house because mine never returned after I had ds six years ago. I don't even get discharge so no need for anything. I haven't had the talk with her yet but they've had some form of talks at school alright.

Have input yesterday's weigh in of 164.9 into fitbit now because today's was 162.9 and that keeps my average at +0.1lbs which is fixable. I did say this year I wasn't going to leave any weight out but that one just annoyed me so much! Finished up with just 4500 steps yesterday (storm Brendan was only partly responsibleWink) 17cals to spare and just under protein by 3g and 23g fibre. This included a mini dessert of a meringue nest with berries and spray cream for 142cals, feel like i'm winning when I'm hitting macros and getting a little treat in Grin

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/01/2020 07:38

I know happier. I had one rich tea biscuit and was winning. Yes I'm of the strange breed that likes rich tea

WreckTangled · 14/01/2020 08:08

Curvy dd is the same. I already have a packet of sanitary towels and have ordered some samples from body form. When they come I can talk to her about it.

All bloated as I have a heavy period. Bleurgh.

Wolfcub · 14/01/2020 08:37

I like rich tea too.....but they are even better with Nutella on them

Happierwithouthim · 14/01/2020 08:40

I'm not a biscuit person but rich tea are nice, I think they're better than digestive anyhow but not as good as hobnobs Grin

Luckily I don't drink tea
No room for treat today, as lunch is a bit more calorific than usual - corn tortilla wraps with meatballs/tomato sauce and eat lean cheese. Sorry I bought eat lean, it's pretty tasteless and doesn't grate well either

lifelongfrugaleer · 14/01/2020 16:55

Nooo hobnobs noooo.

I might try with Nutella as I have 85 calorie left

WreckTangled · 14/01/2020 17:28

I've just had the Birdseye pea protein burgers for dinner. I don't know the cals but they've got 14g protein in them. I really liked them.

Happierwithouthim · 14/01/2020 19:30

86cals over - 8g short on protein but chicken sausage & bacon medallion sandwich for dinner hit the spot so I'm ok with that.

Steps low, I'm going to be playing serious catch up as week goes on Hmm

Not have you tried Dunnes brand chicken sausages? I think they're new, really nice 6g protein each.

Not2bObvious · 14/01/2020 20:44

I haven’t happier, must pop into Dunnes & give them a try. I’ve been heavily into the Linda McC sausages for ages, just tried the red onion & rosemary - can taste neither in them but v tasty.
Oh my curvy, 9 feels soo young, I’m watching my 11 year old closely, I’d say it’s not far off. Without being rude I’ve no idea where I’ll get st to fit her pants, she’s tiny. Had to buy the teenage pads for 15 year old, she’s around a size 6. Small one still fits age 7-8 knickers, so I might have a challenge I should address sooner rather than later.
