Down .4 today so back to Fridays weight. I deleted Monday’s artificially high weight (as I’ve said before have it on good authority 4-5 weigh ins enough😉) and I’m now .1 above last Sunday’s average.
Poached egg and tomato on wholemeal toast, bit of protein & fibre to start the day

Hi all
I've just been busy not MIA!

Weigh in so far this week 162.5 x 3, so 1lb gain on last week, but surely that'll drop again tomorrow and Friday, I'm home all week so will be weighing every day which'll help too.

I went to bed with 50 cals to spare on Monday night because I knew if I ate anything else I'd be well over, that's a first for me!
Yesterday I haven't put into mfp yet but should be fine and today's going fine too.

Exercise - 8km walk with friend Mon night, nothing yesterday, today will be circuits tonight and walked 1 mile in the rain after dropping off my car for service this morning, maybe need to repeat this this evening

Not2bObvious · 04/12/2019 12:17

Nice to hear from you happier, glad you’re not hiding away under a desk eating a tub of roses (this is what I’d like to do haha!)
3 weeks today and I’ll be slap bang in preparation for lunch. I actually tried entering what I think I’ll have on the day, thought it might be an interesting experiment. Even with a light breakfast and just a starter/main/dessert couple of glasses of wine & fizz I’m on around 2,000. Not a shred of chocolate in there, nothing incredibly excessive. I can see how people get 3,000-4,000 cals in easy!
Backs twingey today - don’t think I’ll do weights

No not yesterday I'd an options mint hot chocolate and a freddo bar with the dc and it was lush, and just enough to satisfy sweet tooth and I just bought the multipack with 5 in it and it was gone then yesterday so no temptation left for me. Ds made it with Dunnes Irish Whole Milk (his description Grin) instead of my alpro in error.

I did well last Christmas Day and have it in mfp will see can I get it for you!

Happierwithouthim · 04/12/2019 14:02

Literally breakfast dinner & two snacks Grin

Madness isn’t it? Especially when it’s really only a roast dinner, I only make prawn cocktail (and I make it so reasonable amount of Marie rose) to start, and the turkey/ham and plenty of veg, I do my own roast spuds that I measure the oil really carefully, I don’t think I could make it anymore mindfully. There was a video Richie did on how not lose all progress over Xmas and it involved a cut back for a few days before and allowing yourself maintenance for a few days, or at least I think that’s what it was.

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 04/12/2019 15:21

I followed that last year to a certain extent and I didn't put any weight on Christmas week as a result

Not2bObvious · 04/12/2019 15:33

Wow, that’s brilliant happier - I’ve never had a year where I haven’t gained and had to work it off in January (and Feb...and MarchBlush)

I'd a wedding on 30th Dec, my first as a separated woman and I wanted to look and feel good and I did!!!

Not2bObvious · 04/12/2019 15:43

Now that was a goal to keep you on track!

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 04/12/2019 16:45

Had another wedding since after dd's communion and I did similar but last one was about 3 weeks ago and I didn't have the same momentum for it at all

Happierwithouthim · 04/12/2019 16:46

I haven't bought chocolates or biscuits for our own house in years because then you have those as well as those you get as gifts and presents and that's definitely something I think really really helps.

lifelongfrugaleer · 04/12/2019 21:06

Bugger all steps. Eleventy million calories. Lots of driving. Christmas do 1 done

Not2bObvious · 04/12/2019 21:13

Just over 12,000 steps here, ground out through marching on the spot and shopping centre with kids. McDonald’s wrap for dinner, around 60 cals banked. Having a hot choc before bed with a hot water bottle. My first hint of chocolate since the start of the month (I know I know it’s only 4 days!)
You do right happier, those blooming tubs of sweets/biscuits are lethal. I often ate 6 roses one after another, they’d barely touch the side, and I’d go back for more! At 50-60 cals each was it any wonder I’d still have the evidence in the form of an extra tyre to see me into the new year.

lifelongfrugaleer · 05/12/2019 06:22

The damage from yesterday hasn't hit the scales yet. Steps and food today

Not2bObvious · 05/12/2019 07:09

Down .4 again so .1 down on last weeks average. Totm as well so feeling a bit bloated, making an effort to drink more water as well as my tea/coffee. And working on getting the fibre up. Got a walk in before work as back too sore for a run, nearly 4,500 steps, yah!

OP posts:
Happierwithouthim · 05/12/2019 08:35

Saw on the 1600 group that chow mein from iceland has 17g fibre per portion, unfortunately it has mushrooms in it so it's a non runner for me but might be handy to have in the freezer for some of ye.

Bacon medallion on high fibre brown bread this morning for breakfast

Not2bObvious · 05/12/2019 08:43

2 egg omelette with ham/Philadelphia style cheese and a slice of wheaten bread - 28gr of protein, 3gr fibre. Milk for coffee included and only 375 cals, should keep me going.
Have Greek yog and frozen raspberries for elevenses, despite popular belief have feck all fibre, only 2.5 gr per 100gr. But nearly 17gr protein.
Must check out that chow mien, love a decent chow

On track so far today - close to 12,000 steps through my early walk & general running about. Tried on a lovely pair of coated jeans & accepted I needed the size 14 (sadly not my usual vanity size store) and they didn’t have them, saved myself cash as with the shirt to go with them it was €€€ but still a bit sad - they really were cool, and I was pleased I wasn’t being emotional about the size. Hey ho

OP posts:
lifelongfrugaleer · 05/12/2019 20:52

Totally off track again today. Will be off tomorrow too. Start again Saturday but then have until 20 December with no excuses.
Not sure what to do about next year subscription. It's due for renewal on 1 Jan.

CurvyInAllTheWrongPlaces · 05/12/2019 21:05

D- falafel in panini with hummus and vimto.

So no water, fruit or veg, must do better!

Not2bObvious · 05/12/2019 22:07

I suppose it’s down to whether you feel like you’ve learned enough to do it yourself life, if you’re there for the banter that’s different. I don’t engage at all, never have. I always knew where I was falling down, it’d certainly work if I did all that was put out. I’ve learned loads from it but I’m not involved anymore. Still follow a couple of people I really liked, do some walkie talkies but don’t watch any content from the main pair anymore. I don’t know if you do?
You could save yourself the few quid and see can you go forward without them, you can always rejoin if you feel you can’t. They’re not fast to remove people by the way

You get a pass for totm curvy, nothing wrong with having what you need some days. I managed to get a couple more glasses of water in today so slowly getting better and feeling better for it. I’m 200 over, I have some in the bank to cover it though. Also trying not to be too tight with my calories, if I need to eat the whole allowance I do. Nigh on 13,500 steps - not bad
