Hi all... OK the sun is shining but the summer wardrobe just doesn't fit. I know that this is a temporary blip in the weather and it will rain next week but I would love to be a stone lighter by the time summer starts for real. I feel miserable - anyone want to join me. Starting tomorrow.

@twobambinos 2lb is BRILLIANT!!!!

helenb706 · 04/03/2019 10:01

We are 1 week old today... keep going and 2lbs down on a Monday morning rather than 2lbs up is a win!

Thanks i know 2lbs is a good start. I was hungry going to bed last night and could not sleep. Have had porridge with skim milk for breakfast it really wasn't good. Looking forward to my lunch already.

Only one week it feels longer. Keep up the good work everyone

rainydogday · 04/03/2019 11:47

Back on it today! Feeling positive, spinning first thing. Only just had my stewed fruit for breakfast. Feeling extra motivated as a friend at work has lost nearly two stone in 6 weeks!!! Doing the fast800......

notevenamum1 · 04/03/2019 12:17

Hi All

Just wanted to say thanks so much to everyone for the support I got after a bad Friday! It really helped me get right back on the bandwagon and have a good weekend. I am trying to weigh in once a week on a Tuesday morning as I know weight loss isn't linear and it is best to stick to a weekly weigh in on the same time and same day. However I am only human and had a sneak peak this morning and was DELIGHTED to see that I am another 2lbs down taking it to 3lbs down in 2 weeks. I am not going to log this until tomorrow though as I know it could change. This is going to be such a slow process as I need to lose a full 2 stone in total to get to a normal BMI Blush.

Had an awful night’s sleep last night. Wonder how sleep affects weight loss?

Thisimmortalcurl · 04/03/2019 13:04

Brilliant twobambino and noteven . Isn’t is weird how you see to pounds in as so much more than two pounds off .. I try to have an image that I once saw off five pounds off fat .. it was massive .
Go you rainy .. I’m not feeling much motivation to excercise .. I wish I was .
I’m back to what I was on Friday 8/12 .
Hopefully a good week ahead for us all.

Thisimmortalcurl · 04/03/2019 13:04

God my spelling “ two pounds on”

beela · 04/03/2019 13:24

I've been spinning this morning too rainydog, it was a different instructor to my normal one and a really tough class, but my fitbit said I burned 412 calories and I'm feeling good now.

I've had a Joe Wicks recipe for lunch - kale, fennel & butter bean stew. Delicious.

noteven my official weigh in day is Tuesday too (but unofficially, well done for those 2lb!). Tiredness is my nemisis when it comes to weight loss, I end up seeking out an energy boost via sugar, always a slippery slope. I was mainlining marshmallows in newborn days with my dc Blush

O4FS · 04/03/2019 13:43

Nice to hear the positivity this Monday morning? Also been spinning 😄

2 stone in 6 weeks?? Wow. Is that on the 800 as well rainydog? (Presume said colleague doesn’t eat fruit and nut on a Saturday night?)

I’ll have been doing it for a month at the end of this week and hoping I’ll hit a stone. Then I’ll only have one more to go.

Re sleeping: last night was the first night I didn’t wake up in years. Am sleeping so much better. (Belly fat doesn’t press into my bladder when I roll over). Joints have definitely improved. I’m at the ‘i’m doing well. I can see a difference’ stage. Usually at this point I will binge, fall off the wagon and before I know it I’m 12.7 again. Not this time.

BoundByBriars · 04/03/2019 17:09

Hello everyone, I started fast 800 on Friday 1 March after getting so fed up with myself and my sugar/carb addiction and feeling desperate for a reset.

I actually love this way of eating and I’m not really hungry or craving. My head even feels clearer and I’ve got much more awareness of my body, if that makes sense.

I’ve got about 1.5 stone to lose and I’m down 2 lbs already. It’d be great to see the results others mentioned upthread have but I’m setting my targets at losing 1.5 lb a week over 12 weeks. I’m doing an initial 2 weeks eating 800 and then will reassess. If I switch to doing 5:2, I will add in cardio but one step at a time!!! Grin

notevenamum1 · 04/03/2019 17:31

Controversial but I have decided not to skip the gym today. I slept so badly last night and i am exhausted. Poured a kettle of boiling water over my hand earlier (by accident of course!) and fear I would accidently kill myself if I did go to the gym. My aim is to go 3x per week so plenty of time to make up for it.

notevenamum1 · 04/03/2019 17:31

I mean I have skipped the gym!

rainydogday · 04/03/2019 18:15

Any recipe ideas for soup around 100-110 calories? I make the pea & mint one for fast800 and it really
Is nice but feel I may be over doing it by having it every lunch time! Any other nice ones? I prefer smooth.... 😁

O4FS · 04/03/2019 18:33

I just have shop bought Rainy so interested to see if anyone has any. Would be good to save 50 calories or so.

Left over roast Chicken and Mediterranean veg tonight. And a M&S chocolate mousse. 769 today. That’ll do. Smile

helenb706 · 04/03/2019 19:28

Norevenmum... I have skipped going too. I also slept really badly... about 2 hours. Felt guilty not going but cosy blanket is getting me over it. Look after your hand. X

I'm freshly energised from a wonderful spa break! Faced with three course lunches and dinners I made good choices but had room for indulgence.

The game changer was a body composition analysis I had done, it was fascinating. I have above average muscle mass and the bmi OFFICIALLY doesn't work for me. The bmi thinks I need to lose two stone but the fabulous and knowledgeable lady says hell no, I need to lose one stone.

She tippexed out the word obese and suggested I replace it with gorgeous! Lol.

So it's all doable. My visceral fat level is well within healthy range but we won't mention my metabolic age.

So as far as I'm concerned, it's challenge accepted. I want all those figures to be in healthy range this time next year, and preferably by this summer. It's a brilliant motivation.

Thisimmortalcurl · 04/03/2019 20:33

That sounds amazing Morris .. sounds a great day and a great confidence boost as well.
Food not bad so far today and all you lot and the spinning classes encouraged me to drag out my excercise bike and cycle away 200 cals while watching eastenders !
I think it’s been about a year since I did that but when I look at holiday pictures when I was using it a lot it really helped tone my thighs which are my most hated area.

JeezYouLoon · 04/03/2019 22:21

Disaster!

I've managed to put back on the half stone I lost, so am now back to square one, with a stone to lose.

Never mind, I'm on it again I've also decided I'm not going allow myself any alcohol until I've lost half a stone. Hopefully that may focus my mind Hmm

rainydogday · 04/03/2019 22:35

I have been very strict today with MyFitnessPal and even added the 4 glacier cherries I stole from the cupboard! 72 bloody calories! It really does go to show the little nibbles or pinching the kids left over tea all adds up! Blush I started cruising round the kitchen so have taken myself upstairs to bed to get away from temptation.

Novae · 05/03/2019 01:17

Could I join too? Have munched myself a stone heavier since December...

Eattothebeat · 05/03/2019 05:35

Well done to all the losers and those who've made good choices in the last few days. Also well done to everyone who continues to persevere in the face of gaining or staying the same - your day will come.
I was atrocious at the weekend as I knew I would be as I was staying with family and had very little choice over what I ate so just had to go with it and eat all the stuff that was bad for me in the name of politeness. Anyway back on it today although I slept badly which always makes me crave carbs. I will drink my water and eat my nuts and hope that I can squeeze in a bit of exercise. On a positive note my TOTM has now been and gone so I don't have that to contend with. I will weigh in on Friday when I've had chance to reverse some of the damage done over the weekend.

Whereareyouspot · 05/03/2019 06:49

Well done everyone- for posting and honesty. A mixed bag of results but that’s life isn’t it and we are all still engaged and keen and that’s the biggest battle!

I haven’t weighed in the end as I feel I just know it won’t be good.
I feel a bit bloated having felt I could really see and feel a change in my shape. Just feel blobby again and I’m not completely sure why as I’ve manintained decent effort.

Just not quite maximum effort i suppose as I’ve probably eaten too much after tea again last three days BUT I have stopped by 8pm and not crept back into the kitchen cupboard after the late dog walk.
No bread and no breakfast cereals or oats.

Have felt properlyhungry at least once everyday (usually more) so I’ve definitely been grazing less.

My exercise is suffering a bit- I feel a bit more achey and less energy but I wonder if it’s all hormones as I’m bang mid cycle ovulation which is never my best time

Maybe I should weigh today and see it as motivation whatever the scales say?

helenb706 · 05/03/2019 07:58

Whereareyouspot... we are all the same. I guess we are all trying and at the very least will put less weight on than if we weren't trying at all. Today is last day before lent... I'm not a believer but do know that many people use this time to give up something in the same way as all the 'stop months. Don't weigh yourself... see this week as a mini restart in the journey. I haven't been as good as I intended to be but definitely not as bad as I would have been without this forum.

Hi all. Today is my official weigh in day and I am still 3lbs down in total! (Over 2 weeks) I am so pleased :) got some big weekends coming up so the real challenge will not be undoing it all. Hope everyone has a wonderful day

beela · 05/03/2019 11:51

Morning! So today is my weigh in day and I am stuck on 60.3kg. But that's from last Friday, this time last week I was 60.9kg, so that's just over 1lb down in a week. I'll take that, and remind myself not to go too crazy with the pancakes later on Smile

This thread is really helping me, Flowers to you all
