Hi all,

Starting this thread as I’ve started the Blitz today. Will probably just be posting to keep myself accountable but would love to hear about any tips or advice so feel free to join in if you are also starting this or have done it before!

I’ll be doing this over Easter which will be tough but I can’t keep putting it off so on it from today! Smile

Just to say the plan is great! I did it in Jan and dropped a dress size, lost my baby weight! For the month of Jan and Feb I looked great... I'm now 8 weeks preg though so naturally piling it back on Grin But I'll def be digging it out again next year - good luck everyone!

MunchkinJess · 27/03/2018 20:59

Does anyone think tomorrow Exercise looks relatively gentle compared to like last week or the last few days 🤔

ChippyTea16 · 27/03/2018 21:54

Thanks @toasterstrudle glad to hear it went well for you and congrats on your pregnancy! Good to know it’s something that works that you can come back to!

@MunchkinJess I thought the same but I think last week was heavy cardio to kickstart the plan and this week is more resistance training so not as intense. If you follow people’s results on Instagram they tend to have smaller losses on the scales but still lose inches from week 2 onwards. I don’t think last week’s level of intensity is sustainable for 4 weeks, especially with the extra 5 mins. I’ve noticed I’m better at burpees and can do more this week tho which is something i guess!

Omg today's workout is so tough !

I couldn't do a full minute of jumping lunges to save my life lol

ChippyTea16 · 29/03/2018 07:43

Oh no don’t say that, I’ve woken up with a right stiff neck/back! Will have to loosen up before I attempt today’s workout. Eugh.

MunchkinJess · 29/03/2018 21:22

@ChippyTea16 how did you find today's workout ?

ChippyTea16 · 29/03/2018 21:38

Hard @MunchkinJess! I worked from home today and ended up doing it around 1pm when all id had was a breakfast shake. I didn’t feel very energetic. In fact I haven’t felt great all day, ended up having 5 fish fingers for tea and nothing else! First time I’ve cheated although calorie wise I guess not too bad! Eugh. Back on it properly tomorrow tho!

I'm having such a bad week. I've pretty much stuck to the plan but I feel so bloated and have put on 1lb so I'm now only 2lb down since starting. My neck/chin is fatter and my stomach feels massive. I'm probably not drinking enough so will try that next Confused

ChippyTea16 · 30/03/2018 08:39

@imnottoofussed oh no sorry to hear this! Have you taken pics and measurements as well as weighing yourself? Hopefully they will show progress even if you think you’re not making any. I’ve been slack with the water too this week. What is causing the bloating do u think? Time of the month or too much veg? Maybe have a couple of days off the broccoli/cauliflower etc if you’ve been having a lot of that and swap it for lettuce and stuff?

Don’t let it put you off tho, keep going. If we can get through this weekend we are halfway. Maybe stay off the scales for a few days too? You got this! X

imnottoofussed · 30/03/2018 08:42

Thanks @ChippyTea16 I just need a kick up the arse Grin I have been generally eating the same foods so I'll switch up the veg this week and see how that goes. I'll also take some measurements and use that to compare next week.

ChippyTea16 · 30/03/2018 10:22

Yeah, I know how u feel, it seems like because we are doing something quite extreme we should be seeing results but try and remember we still have 2 weeks to go so let’s just do the 4 weeks and see what happens then we can decide what to do going forward. Stay strong! Smile

So I find carb days quite difficult and I don't really look forward to them if I'm honest !

Having looked at the back of the book about what to do after the four week are up she suggests doing this plan for up to 12 weeks. I am not sure that is realistic for me lol however further down the book she says about doing high fat high protein everyday and having a cheat meal just one meal a week instead of doing a carb day every four days.

I am considering doing this as this would probably be more realistic for me to keep to.

I also haven't been able to eat my snacks the last couple of days as in the high fat days my appetite has seriously dropped . Is that bad do you think ?

ChippyTea16 · 30/03/2018 20:36

@MunchkinJess I don’t think so! I’ve only had one snack today (although did have my mums fish pie and mash which was amazing and not on plan!) but ultimately although Chloe says it’s only 4 weeks hence no cheat days, 4 weeks is a bloody long time and I think sometimes you have to modify slightly to fit into your lifestyle. It might not get the same results but ultimately you need to find what works for you so if that means changing the menu every now and again I say go for it!

I know for a fact I can’t do this for longer than 4 weeks as the food is just too restrictive for me. But I have learned that high fat fills me up more and I don’t actually need carbs. I mean I miss pasta and bread but I don’t need to have it every day. That’s what I need to tell myself when 4 weeks are up at least!

Im feeling good today tho as I resisted wine, Doritos and dips and cherry crumble and custard today at my mums so i don’t feel too bad about the fish pie! Hehe

Hi Everyone, I am new here. I am going to start the 4 week Body Blitz next week. I got Chloe's book yesterday and have been shopping today. I just wondered if anyone else on here is trying it as a vegetarian and specifically that doesn't eat eggs and you might be able to suggest an alternative. (Have quorn and tofu but not sure what to do to replace the eggs) I use Ackee a fair bit and wondered about using that instead?

MunchkinJess · 31/03/2018 21:58

Well and Truly fell off the wagon today 🙈😩🙄

I did say I would take Easter one day at a time and day 2 I fell over badly lol

Ainzreg · 31/03/2018 23:38

Hi everyone im currently on day 6 and finding it tough but have stuck to it so far. Love reading your experiences and thoughts on it....exercises are so hard but I'm modifying.

MunchkinJess · 01/04/2018 10:42

@PiccoloRosso I am sure there must be others who have the dietary restrictions as you . Have you had a look on her fitness page or her YouTube ? She goes through a lot of questions people ask etc .

@Ainzreg welcome . For me the exercise is hard and I consider myself quite active and fit compared to others BUT this has shown me how wrong I was working out before . The food is boring but it's also shown me that high fat high protein actually makes me feel better . I fell off the wagon yesterday and this morning I'm paying for it . Having had two weeks of no sugar , chocolate , alcohol or processed carbs my body was just getting used to it and I was actually feeling really good . After falling off the wagon yesterday at a baby shower that I couldn't really avoid ( or didn't want to lol) my stomach hurts so much this morning . Shows how much artificial stuff is in all that process stuff etc x

ChippyTea16 · 01/04/2018 17:49

Hi everyone, hope you’re all having a good Easter!

Welcome @PiccoloRosso I’m not doing eh vegetarian version but there is a section in the book about what food swaps you can do and there seems to be a few vegetarians on Instagram doing the blitz so you should be fine.

@Ainzreg the exercises are so tough br week 2 is easier in the sense that there’s not as much hardcore cardio (it’s still tough though).

@MunchkinJess how are you feeling today? Il not looking forward to tomorrow’s weigh in at all. I’ve been at my mums and although I haven’t drank any alcohol or had any chocolate, I’ve had cheese, a bit of garlic bread and some white choc mousse over the last 2 days. Today I had a lamb roast minus the potatoes (so basically just lamb, veggies and gravy) but portion wise bigger than is allowed on the plan. So I consider myself to have cheated this weekend but it be been with my family and had a lovely time and sometimes for me at least that’s better than being sat there miserable. I’ve resisted toast, sandwiches, Doritos and dips, cake and Easter eggs so for me, I’m actually quite pleased with that so whatever happens tomorrow I’m not going to worry and just get back on it tomorrow.

Good luck to those weighing in or starting tomorrow! X

Weight in day well I gained a 1lb from last week but my measurements are the same. I am annoyed at myself for falling off the wagon on Saturday as by Saturday I had actually lost 2lbs further .

Today's workout I found very little motivation to do just goes to show how all the junk affects you mentally also.

I was back on track yesterday so back on it .

ChippyTea16 · 02/04/2018 10:22

Well done for carrying on @MunchkinJess just draw a line under this weekend, you had fun (I hope!) but now you know what happens you can use that as your motivation for this week!

Today’s workout was ok but not enjoying the 40mins. Weighed in, lost just under a pound so just under 8 in total. I’m down 5cm on my waist, 5cm on my hips and 3cms down on each thigh (in total not this week just gone!). Fairly happy with that after this weekend.

This week I need to reset my mind - getting quite bored of the food now but I’m nowhere near done so need to keep going. We are halfway now so if I can have a good week this week I think psychologically il few so much better going into the last week.

I also need to make sure I drink my 4 litres of water every day this week as I didn’t hit anywhere near that last week!

Here’s to a good week for us all! X

This week isn’t going well at all! Only managed half the workout today and have been eating chocolate Sad not sure why I am sabotaging myself!

MunchkinJess · 03/04/2018 21:32

Oh no 😱... tomorrow is a new day and I always say just take one day at a time @ChippyTea16

I've been doing ok since my blip on Saturday however I think I am due on soon which would explain my chocolate binge explosion on Saturday 😂...

I am on the injection so it's hard to tell what's going on 😬😩

ChippyTea16 · 04/04/2018 09:00

Thanks @MunchkinJess I’m going to try and be on plan for the rest of the week as I realised if I lose another 1.7lbs il be back to the weight I was at the beginning of the year before I started gorging on shit!

So will try for that although out for lunch on sat for my mums bday - will try and make a good choice! Then onto the last week.

Still confused about what to do after this has finished. Don’t want to go back to having carbs with every meal but I’m struggling so much to find a non carb meal I like!

OP posts:
MunchkinJess · 04/04/2018 18:02

@ChippyTea16 I've decided after these four weeks I'm gonna keep doing the exercise plan but do 40 mins a day and I am going to follow high fat high protein and have just one cheat meal a week . I am not gonna do carb days as I don't enjoy them at all . Having something to look forward to once a week but not go too crazy I think is a lot more realistic for me x

MunchkinJess · 05/04/2018 21:40

How is everyone getting on ?

How did you find today's work out?
