Hello Ladies! I know its early but Id like to see the interest for starting a weight loss group beginning of January. I find it so hard to stay on track when the results are very slow, it would be awesome to have someone to run to to say remind me why I shouldn't eat this delicious sausage roll thats already pressed to my lips! Id like to post meals and recipes with some people that are in the same boat as myself! Life is busy and sometimes convenience food is quicker and easier and it makes you feel good until its eaten. So who else out there would like that little bit more motivation! We can do this together! Smile

It's not just me with the flu then Plumber! It has really hit me for six; I seem to be past the freezing/ burning up stage now but am left with a horribly sore throats and general tiredness. On the bright side I've eaten a lot less than usual, will see how Saturday's weigh in goes!

Does anyone else have an unsupportive DP? Mine makes constant digs and snidey comments about me being large, eating too much cake etc - ironically he is over 20 stone!! I would never say anything similar to him as I know he doesn't like being overweight, but if I asked him to help me out - for example looking after the DC whilst I went to the gym - he would refuse to get up until it was too late. I really miss the gym and my aerobics class, but can't go due to lack of childcare and now also lack of money since being made redundant Sad

In the meantime I'm looking for a yoga challenge I can do at home, never done yoga but heard it's great for you. Plus if I can find a free one I have nothing to lose!

I had one small lapse and ate a bit of chocolate. It wasn't even nice! And it was small. Apart from that and still consuming too much coffee with milk and sugar(!) I'm getting into better eating patterns. Recording everything honestly on MFP and I've sorted out my FitBit.

Starting today. Not because it’s a new year, but because I have no clothes that fit. I’m down to a moo moo dress Homer Simpson would be proud of, and nothing else. I live in Australia. It’s hot at the moment. I have our on a lot of weight in the last 6 months (10 kg) but I’m loathe to buy to size as I (should) be able to get back into the clothes I have once 5kg is gone. But I have nothing to wear now. Should I break and buy a few tubby things? Or stay uncomfortable and work harder?

So I weighed myself this morning ... 13st 10lbs and I'm only just 5ft! Not quite my heaviest but nearly and 6lbs on since the last time I weighed myself in November 😩

SD1978 that’s a tough one! Could you buy a few cheap tops so you at least have something to wear for now? It’s not nice to feel squashed into an outfit Sad I’ve bought some ‘bigger sized’ clothes from charity shops and Ebay, on the grounds that I won’t mind growing out of them then (hopefully growing too small, rather than needing the next size up!!)

Donniemurdo I was Shock at my weight too. Will weigh myself tomorrow and see if the Flu Diet has been good or bad...

@Rubyslippers77- I did break today and bought some shorts and T shirts, cheap ones so I can get through summer. Need it sorted by winter though!

Hello all,
I weighed myself this morning:
72 kg (I lost mainly water, I think) - google tells me that this is 11,3381 stone.

I need new jeans but will only buy when I can stay comfortably in my old size.

Don't blame you SD1978. I had some lovely shorts and tops in my previous (smaller!) size but during summer had to bite the bullet and admit that I wouldn't be fitting into them as soon as I needed to... bought cheap ones in the bigger size to avoid melting in the hot weather!!

It's all going OK and I've lost a bit of weight but from next week I need to get a regular healthy diet and fitness regime.

I'm finding myself admiring women's body shapes when out and about to motivate myself Blush

3lb off for me this week. No weight loss tips though - I didn't follow any diet, just felt too rough to eat most of the time!! Assuming I don't have flu for long enough to help me lose the other 37lb that I'll need to, healthy eating will follow as soon as I can stop coughing Confused

Yesterday was a write off as far as healthy eating was concerned.

Today I feel like crap. Think I've picked something up. Kept waking up last night hot and sweaty then I was cold when the alarm went off. Not the slighest bit hungry so not bothering eating yet. I'll see how I feel later.

How is everyone else doing? I think we've finally eaten the last of the Christmas goodies here, did a big online shop yesterday to re-stock all
the fruit and veg. Not as interesting as eating mince pies for breakfast but hey ho...

I had dinner out for my birthday last night and today's been ok, not bad but not great. Also did 30 mins on my exercise bike yesterday.

It's my birthday this week so I am trying to be good where I can but also enjoy the celebrations!

Today was the worst day so far and wasn't even that bad. I've still not officially started calorie counting yet, just cut back and fingers crossed it seems to be working. I have so much to lose I'm just plodding along.
