Hello Ladies! I know its early but Id like to see the interest for starting a weight loss group beginning of January. I find it so hard to stay on track when the results are very slow, it would be awesome to have someone to run to to say remind me why I shouldn't eat this delicious sausage roll thats already pressed to my lips! Id like to post meals and recipes with some people that are in the same boat as myself! Life is busy and sometimes convenience food is quicker and easier and it makes you feel good until its eaten. So who else out there would like that little bit more motivation! We can do this together! Smile

I'm in too! 3 stone to get rid of in 2018- by October. I started yday as went back to work.

I'm doing a mixture of diet shakes and calorie counting for the first chunk then sw for the second leg!

I’m in ideally 4 stone to lose but 3 to get to a healthy bmi. Starting on Monday with lots of walking and no snacking

@Rubyslippers - I can’t get my Fitbit Alta to link to MFP either. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled everything and set up new accounts and it still won’t work. I might give it another go for the new start!

I'm in! Going on holiday at the beginning of April and would like to get at least another 2 stones off by then. I will be calorie counting but low carbing as well. (Still learning whatsapp but up for it!)

I’m in - want to loose 4 stone in 2018, unfortunately buggered my knee up a few weeks ago and am in a brace for the foreseeable future (poss surgery shortly) so am going to have to focus on diet and upper body exercising.

Still trying to decide what will work best diet wise - low carb/5:2/MFP.

I will be starting on Monday 1st. I guess I have around two and a half stone to lose. I haven't weighed myself for ages and my Christmas chocolate consumption has been shocking.

My plan is to cut out all the junk. Sounds easy doesn't it!

I will post my starting weight on Monday and weigh myself every Monday.

I have a Fitbit gathering dust in my dressing table, I shall dust it off and charge it up ready for Monday.

Me please! Weighed myself today and I am 14kg heavier than I was pre DS (63kg) so that is my eventual aim but for now I will focus on getting below 70kg.

My main focus will be cutting out evening snacks (basically once DS is in bed it's a free for all) but I also want to start exercising again. DH has 5 stone to lose so is joining slimming world so we will support each other which is fab :)

Annoying isn't it Peopleplease? I've done the same - deleted it, reinstalled it, tried using another email address - still won't connect. Now it says it is connected, but never updates my steps or indeed, says I've done any at all. I even contacted MFP who told me it must be a problem with Fitbit, and Fitbit who told me it was a problem with MFP.....

OH is working tomorrow, so I may use the opportunity to step on the scales in privacy. Forget a WhatsApp group for communication, you will probably all hear the shriek wherever you are in the country!!

Once I know the dreaded figure, I can work out how much I need to lose and how I'm going to do it. How much does liposuction cost, do you reckon?!

I'm in as I need to loose 3 stone. My bmi is currently obese. I have a Fitbit and use mfp but I might try WW. None of my clothes fit and it's really getting me down.
Will also try and exercise 2-3 times a week.

13st 2lb 😱😱 for the first time in my adult life I am officially obese ☹️☹️☹️

I have 2.5st (35lb) to lose which is coincidentally the same weight as one of my (chunky) toddlers! No wonder none of my clothes fit and even the size 14 clothes are getting tight...

Tonight will be spent meal planning and doing my online food shop. I'm feeling quite lightheaded from lack of sleep with a snotty child, but clearly that's the only thing light about me!

I'm in. I'm doing rebelfit and I'm going to track by fitness and waist to hip ratio rather than weight which I find unreliable and demotivating for me.
Aiming for a half marathon in June and a big strength improvement by the end of the year.
Fingers crossed.
It's great. Not like anything I've done before. Nutrition planning plus daily focussed training (10 mins per day)

I'm in. I've put on so much weight since my youngest was born (3 years ago!) I am now huge. I'm short (5ft1) and most of my weight seems to have settled on what was my waist, and I now just look like a walking Easter Egg. I have a Fitbit gathering dust. I have a copy of the Blood Sugar Diet but really couldn't get into it at all. MFP sends me sad reminders now and then.

I need to lose at least 3 stone, 4 stone would be better.

I’m in! I’ve just signed up to rebelfit after seeing it on another thread. That starts 8th January, but I’m going to start making better choices from tomorrow morning. I have about half my body weight to lose! I have no idea how much I actually weigh but it was creeping towards 16 stone when I last weighed myself..... Blush
I’ve had some success with SW in the past, but it stopped working when the dynamics of the group changed. There was more talk of “treating yourself” to a couple of drinks & “deserving” a treat - this mindset gets me back into bad habits.... and I don’t think it’s a good idea to think of goods as “good” or “bad” (for me, at least) I am hoping to get a much better relationship with food & hopefully the rest will follow more easily...

I'm in!! I have at least 5 stone to lose. I used to think I was overweight pre DC but it has got worse with each pregnancy and I'm ashamed to say that DC4 has just turned 5 and I still haven't lost the "baby weight" Confused
