Hello Ladies! I know its early but Id like to see the interest for starting a weight loss group beginning of January. I find it so hard to stay on track when the results are very slow, it would be awesome to have someone to run to to say remind me why I shouldn't eat this delicious sausage roll thats already pressed to my lips! Id like to post meals and recipes with some people that are in the same boat as myself! Life is busy and sometimes convenience food is quicker and easier and it makes you feel good until its eaten. So who else out there would like that little bit more motivation! We can do this together! Smile

I'm interested in the WhatsApp group as well.

I have had breakfast and lunch, and have about 450 cals left for tea now. Think I will be going over slightly, at least at first until I get back into the swing of things. But that's okay, because I'm not in this for a quick fix.

Our friends are flying back today, so I'm going to sit down this afternoon and do some meal planning, ready to begin in earnest tomorrow morning. I'm feeling really positive about it and actually just want to crack on now!

I've weighed in and am 11st 13lb, that's 3lb on over christmas so not too bad. 1 1/2 stone to go until target weight.

I've had weetabix for breakfast and cheese with crackers for dinner. I bought a set of 4 cheeses and a box of crackers for over christmas and had one left so thought I may as well use it up today. I scanned the barcodes and MFP came up with 460 calories in total based on the number of crackers/amount of cheese I ate so not too bad. I'll have chicken breast with salad and pitta for tea.

Just posting this for accountability.

B: I don't eat breakfast
L: Big box of salad and some smoked salmon appetiser things with mini blinis I had left over from New Years. Low fat Ambrosia custard pot.
S: 4 Celebrations, a Lotus biscuit and a Fox biscuit (whoops!) Small piece of cheese.
D: DP is making gumbo tonight.

Not great due to there still being lots of Xmas treats in my office but am within my MFP limit.

I'm in! 1 stone to lose. Have eaten far too much. This week I'm going to drastically reduce all junk food and snacks but eat normal meals to work up to MyFitnessPal starting next week. I need a week to prepare myself mentally after a pig out Christmas

I need to lose four stone. I hate being this big.
I've just joined the gym and signed up for some classes. Sort of dreading it but I need to make a start. I'm a postwoman so I walk a lot everyday and I worry I'm going to sap every ounce of energy I have on more exercise.
My diet is shit and I need to eat a lot less.

I need to remember why I'm doing this. Health benefits. More energy. To fit into nice clothes and feel attractive. To live longer. And maybe ttc at the end of the year.

I'm in. I've piled on the weight over the last 2 years. I've stopped and started dieting but I'm determined now. I have about 2-3 stone to lose Blush.

The kids are back next in school next week so will start calorie counting then but for this week am just cutting way way back. Am also doing Dry January so am hoping that will help. With that and trying not to spend money I'm trying not to get January blues and turn it into positivity!

Ugggh I weighed myself today 13.4!! This is shocking!! I have prepared wholemeal pasta, tomato, cucumber for lunch tomorrow. I will be having toast for breakfast and shepherds pie for dinner. Over the next two weeks I intend to eat 3 meals a day with only fruit in between. Once I have got into a more regular eating pattern I will decide on an eating plan to follow. I would also be up for a Watsapp group.

Still within my calories today, but I'm planning a sweet treat before bed, so I might go slightly over.

So far:
B: carrot sticks and hummus, peas (I like eating raw peas, don't judge me Blush), apple
L: chickpea and quinoa salad with lemon/honey dressing, crisps, satsuma
D: chili with a handful of nachos

I'm actually really full from my dinner even though it was 2 hours ago - over-full, I think. Just illustrates I need to listen to my body more about when I'm full!

Hi firefly - I recognise you from the lose a stone by Xmas/Easter threads Grin

Good day for me food wise apart from half a mince pie and tablespoon of cream as trying to eat up Xmas leftovers. Back to work tomorrow which is always easier as in a routine. Tomorrow's menu should be - eggs for breakfast, chicken salad for lunch, Thai red curry and veg for dinner.

I'm currently stricken with this flu-type lurgy that is doing the rounds so haven't actually started but also haven't actually managed to eat much since the 29th.

I was going to weigh myself today but then discovered that the scales have gone from my local Boots. I have a GP appointment on Friday so will use the machine there and will then be better able to work out exactly what I am dealing with. At the start of December I had 18lbs still to lose but I suspect there may have been quite a substantial gain over Christmas. Blush

Waves at twinkle Hey, I thought I recognised your name! I did manage to lose a stone then, but my plans to keep it up for the year were derailed by a family bereavement in February.

I've managed to keep that weight off, but I definitely need to lose some more, and I managed it best when I had other people chivvying me along, so, here I am Grin

My plan is to weigh myself tomorrow when I'm back to work. I paid to join the work gym in September and haven't been once.

So that is something for me to change as is taken no in my own food which will also fit into my spending less mission too - win/win!

If you struggle having it around, do you have family you can get to hide it from you? Or you could give it to the food bank?
